Surprised that you didn't do a side by side comparison with the other Nebula Class

So thankful the Cardassians look evolved not long after. As for the ship, I like how streamlined and tactical it looks. This would be cool in a larger XL Edition down the line.

It peeves me SO MUCH that Eaglemoss didn't get the saucer and deflector dish right because it means that they were either not paying attention to the details or cheaping out on us?
I forgave them for the Nebula because they cunningly named it Honshu, but the Phoenix is the studio model so there's no excuse for the discrepancies - unless they're no Trek nor model maker fans at all..
(on the plus side, I recentpy picked up their Probert's Enterprise-C Concept and that is truly 100% - so there is still hope for them yet...?)

The secondary hull is from the USS Honshu and doesn't match the Phoenix..lazy work from Eaglemoss.

I'd never looked that closely, but I presume you mean how the Phoenix appears to have a more tapered secondary hull, and the hull used by Eaglemoss is more rounded? It's certainly not a big deal for me.

Stansman63 could just be a refit like the external pod on top

Eaglemoss are using the cheap Digital Muse DS9 version for the basis on all versions. So that was the one where they kitbashed from galaxy bits. The _real_ nebula studio model has a much thicker saucer rim compared to a galaxy and has a different deflector shape. So annoyed Eaglemoss did this for both nebula versions.

I really love this variant with the high powered sonar sensor on it. Really fit so that they were able to expose the Cardassian’s “science station”

I love your videos bro, I love that they're so complete, but the one thing you're missing is a range of comparison shots with other eaglemoss smaller ships, larger ships, and diamond select ships if you have them. I watch a lot of action figure reviews a lot of the times just for the comparison shots. This is one huge thing that's missing from your videos. The most you'll ever do is usually one ship, in this review you didn't have any comparison shots it would have been nice to see it compared to the original nebula that we received

Wrong secondary hull. Nebula class original had a different secondary hull. Similar, but not the same. It was more shaped like a tube. The later used cgi models where indeed just a rearranged galaxy. But earlier versions, based on a physical model, shared just the saucer, nacelles and pylons with galaxy class. The secondary hull and the module on the top where unique.
Eaglemoss did the same with centaur. The studio model had a miranda class bridge module and windows on the top of the saucer to represant a much smaller ship, but the eaglemoss version uses the excelsior bridge and excelsior windows.

No one else notices that the deflector dish was much larger & thicker on the original PHOENIX, Eaglemoss cheaply just slapped on a Galaxy Class dish, figuring fans wouldn't notice or care... Totally ruins the distinction between ships and makes the NEBULA Class look more like the kitbash it is!

What a bad representation of the Phoenix. She should look quite different to the later Nebula class ships. Way fewer windows, thicker saucer rim, much compacter secondary hull, different impulse engines and so on. There is a nice article about the different nebula class models on the "ex-astris-scientia" website.

      Good read.
I'm not as picky. I'm happy with the look of the model.

The aft section looks so much better, but did they forget the impulse egines again?

Nebula class model didn't have impulse engines on it. Even going back to the production models during TNG.

Ah ok, never noticed that. it´s just feels like something is missing without impulse engines though.

    • @TarDagorion

Actually the showrunners forget it when they made the models for this class. Similar just like the missing Impulse Engines on the Romulan Warbird

Do you have the Enterprise-D for a comparison photo/video? It seems like the USS Phoenix's gray scheme would pair better with the USS Enterprise-D, whereas the USS Honshu seems more blue.

I like this show and the models are well made. wish only they did them to scale from other ships in the fleet

pity this version still doesn't match the correct studio model, just the cheap Galaxy-kitbash job Digital Muse did.

So every time this ship goes into warp speed, the lower hull windows tint to black. And woe to the lower saucer section crew who gets the glowing Bussard dome shining through the window. " I can't sleep with that thing on all the time!!."

Amazing how after well over one hundred models they still produce the same quality problems of the early models. And they should be ashamed to still be using that stand, it's insecure, gives buyers zero ability to change the way the model is displayed, and is probably the same stand they sold 20 years ago.
