- Chris and George spent the morning climbing Ben Lomond Via Ptarmigan Ridge. If you have never done this walk on Ben Lomond, we highly recommend it, it is like walking a totally different hill and in our opinion is better than the normal route.

Did this the other day, really didn't enjoy the tourist path up, coming down the ridge was fab and saved the day.

Done Ptarmigan ridge in June and descended the tourist path, glad I done the ridge first as the views were amazing. Well done both of you.

Respect guys done it this morning up there a05.30 hit the summit at 9 the video helped alot the stairs are a killer on some parts it was very slippy never seen the summit until we actually till we got there

Matthew Potts Yeah, you walk past the building at the car park and instead of walking straight onto the path in front of you, you turn left and follow the road past the youth hostel and a house giving out water. After the house that has the water it’s over a small bridge and directly to the right. Hope this helps. Have a great day!
