So glad you were not too busy on a Sunday afternoon to share this bag. It looks great! Thank you for taking the mystery out of it! It's chilly & dreary looking in Tennessee this afternoon; have the kettle on for some tea!
Thank you for showing us a new method (to me) of making a curve. Logical but hadn’t seen it before. Also thanks for the binding part of the tutorial with exactly where to sew.
In my opinion, one of the best bags in your collection! Just beautiful. The only thing I would do differently is to either zigzag over the raw edge ends of the webbing handles or leave at least an inch of extra length at the raw ends. Webbing is notorious for unraveling, even where they have been sewn over. I have had the webbing unravel on several very expensive fabric bags and pull out of the seam. It is then quite a chore to repair them. Always looking forward to your latest videos. Thank you!
This was a nice surprise, an extra tutorial. I liked it in the Scotty dog fabric, I love it in this fabric. How different a bag can look in another fabric. Thank you Debbie.
I was so excited to see this bag made without binding until you got to the base! I’m going to try to figure out how to do the base without the binding. It’s just that I so hate binding! Otherwise fabulous tutorial thanks.
Nice bag! I love the structured look of these kind of bags. I would make pockets for the inside and a loop hanging on the inside to attach a small flashlight if using a dark lining. Just because looking into a bag with no inner pockets makes me instantly as blind as a bat. Thanks for the tutorial! I think this could make a nice carry case for a sewing machine or serger, cut to custom dimensions of the machine, and adding a removable or permanent board to the base.
I really enjoy your tutorials Debbie and i have learnt a great deal from them . I'm looking to make a duffle travel bag and wondered if you have done a tutorial on this before ?
hello so sorry this was the bag pattern I was after silly me . i put comment on wrong video ., i just love that bag looks nice . is their a free pattern on how to cut out ?
Such a cute bag! Do you find that not clipping the curve helps any with the structure of the completed bag? I'm wondering it it might make it not stand as pretty if it was trimmed, because everything in me says clip the curve ;)
The second line of cutting instructions, (cut 2 outer and 2 lining 14” x 4.5”) . Don’t think are needed, just one of each size for the base, already mentioned in cutting instructions, or am I mistaken. ??
Just to let you know some of the measurements are wrong you put the 2 outer and 2 lining 14" x 4.5" but you don't need them. You didn't put a measurements for the pocket though
Another great tutorial. Your straightforward tutorials taught me to sew over 6 years ago and I still find your tutorials the best on the Tube.

Thank you so much Debbi. This is a classic shape bag which I will be making. I love sewing bags and my friends started calling me "the bag lady".
Me too!

I really enjoy your tutorials Debbie and i have learnt a great deal from them . I'm looking to make a duffle travel bag and wondered if you have done a tutorial on this before ?
I’m afraid not at the moment…
Love the bag and want to try and make it. Can I ask what kind of glue you were using?
Glad you like it! I use Gutermann HT2
Hi Debbie - if I wanted to make a bigger bag - and doubled the measurements - would that work?
Love it, right straight to make it, thanks a lot Debbie

I’m afraid no pattern for this one, glad you like it!
I'm not quite brave enough to sew without pinning. Ty for this project!
I'd like to try and make this for carrying my bowls. Please could you tell me finished size?
Whenever I make a bag I always put a 3 inch tab with a velcro closing at the top side panel so I can keep my keys easily to hand.
Great idea!
Bought my fabric today to make this!
I will be trying out this pattern soon. Thanks for the great tutorial. May I ask what kind of glue you used to hold down the handles?
That’s Gutermann HT2 glue, we have it on the website…
@@debbieshore thank you and I will check the website. Always looking for a good glue use on fabric
Super!

I didn’t think it necessary on this bag..

Nice
I really want to make this
Nice 👌👌🌹
Hi Debbie.
Can you please tell me how to purchase USB for Bobbin street bags
Thank you Esmay
I’m afraid they’re not available any more…
Don't forget to top stitch this time. 😀😀😀😀
What is the finished size of this bag please
👍
Очень красиво!!! Пожалуйста,размеры на экран....
A useful bag, but not a good idea to have a black lining. It is impossible to see things. All bags should have a light coloured inner in my opinion!
I’ve done this bag I think it was from one of your books or a pattern a few years ago now.x
Just to let you know some of the measurements are wrong you put the 2 outer and 2 lining 14" x 4.5" but you don't need them. You didn't put a measurements for the pocket though
She has pocket measurements of 6x4 but hers looks more like a square so I don’t know wether to change it or not as mine is more a rectangle 😫
