I would use this power box to go fishing in kayak , surf fishing on the beach , use it for camping when camping with the wife and the kids . This has been a very helpful video
We go camping and kayaking a lot, even built a camper van 8 years ago and quickly realized I needed portable power. As batteries are getting better and less expensive, these power boxes are the way to go and even better when they're self built. I hope I win this one!
MOTO GP RACING, I plan to use it on my motorcycle racing weekends in Nebraska. The track I go to does not have power outlets and I usually run out of phone charge in a day. I usually camp in a tent and this will keep my devices charged and music when I relax between sessions would be awesome. I could also use this to power a USB light and fan when I sleep in the tent, this is hands down one of the best product I have seen in recent times!!!
So...I wish I could do a video of the 9" inflatable pontoon boat power box I just built...1) 12v 24ah lithium for the troller motor, air compressor (yep...air compressor), duel USB for night light, 1) 12v 8ah lithium for the fish finder. WORKS great.
Alright, Thank you for the DIY kit. None of your videos show how to wire the SAE port. I am completely satisfied with product. thanks again and keep up the good work.
I’m a kayaker. How would this box be useful for me? Is it strictly for fishing? I love the simplicity of it. Well, I can’t say that I’d have the skills to put it together but that’s where my son comes in 😀 The box itself once put together looks amazingly easy to carry along 👍
I don’t have one, but definitely want one! I have a bunch of lights in my clam flip over shanty’s that I’ve ran to a battery that just rattles around in my sled.. along with using a Bluetooth speaker for music, but having this would be awesome!!! Love these giveaways.
I have been wanting one of these boxes for a long time. I fish in my Kayak all the time and this would be a nice box to win, not only could I power my electronics, but I could listen to music as well.
Excellent video instructions. My only comment is the screws on the lights are way too close to the charging terminal inside the box cover.. I recommend short the screws / use lock nuts or threat locks. The other option is put insulated cover in the threads that are so close to the charging poles connectors. This will prevent any short out if accidentally dropped the box the wrong way. I will get very excited if I land a big one fishing. Great instruction video sir.
Awesome video! It's nice to see how you wire them up. I'd definitely love to put another one of these together! I think it'd work great for camping or just sitting outside grilling. Thanks Jeremy!
stumbled on this from a youtuber living in his car, im a bit confused though, whats the primary purpose for this? just power?? whats it have to do with fishing? i tried to look for the product info but no luck, can anyone please explain this thing?
We use them fishing to keep any of our electronics charged. They can provide power to our ice shacks for lights and whatever else you need to keep you on the ice longer. They also have the option to glow your ice jigs with our Glow Cup.
Man that was a great build, love watching . I just received a bass pelican boat and doing some mods to it. I am making a small power box for my phone charging and fish finder. I love music on the water, that’s maybe why I don’t catch a lot of fish, but it’s really just about being on the water. I from Maryland , right off the Susquehanna River. I may purchase this kit with battlers. Ty

Hi there. I recieved DYI Deluxe power box kit with a fuse block and two battery that i order from ice hole power. I would like to know are there any DYI video on how to connect all of this together.
I’m hoping to get one of these as a Christmas present. I was curious if there’s an easy way to plug into a vehicle cigarette lighter to power. Looking to use it military vehicles when not ice fishing.
Cig plug with some bare wires should do the trick, run the wires to the charging post. But lithium batteries that we use will run the box for about 5 days of fishing so you might not have to worry so much about charging it. From one veteran to another, thank you for your service.
You can but you will not be able to wire it using the same connectors that I used in the video. The wire will be too thick. We do have a wiring kit that has everything you need. www.iceholepower.com/product-page/ihp-wiring-kit
Does the box have to run on two batteries? I would love to add this speaker set up to my box, but ideally it wouldn’t involve buying another battery. Right now it’s running on a 12v 12ahr battery

When I bought this I was hoping to get the deluxe and it was out of stock at the time so I got the Adventure kit. It is not as deep so I had to turn my 12 volt batteries on their side. I'm guessing that is what you have to do correct? Regardless this box is awesome. I'm sure my ice fishing buddies are going to be checking out your inventory. Thanks and great business!

Great question! No, you can run it off of one battery but you will still have to wire it up for two.

Look for a 12V charger for your auger battery or an inverter that will plug into the cig socket, you can plug your charger into that.
