I have been studying the Bible for almost 60 years and I concur 100% with what you say about water baptism. This video is very well done. Good job! One of the things I have run into among some believers is those who practice water baptism but think that baptism happens AFTER one is saved which, of course is wrong, as it says in Mark 16:16 "He who believes and is baptized will be saved. . ." It does NOT say "He who believes and is saved will be baptized." I want to share one other experience with you that I had. I was in a ladies Bible study with some ladies who did not think baptism was necessary for salvation. So, I asked one lady to turn to 1 Peter 3:21 which you brought up in your Podcast. When she read the part "Baptism, which corresponds to this now saves you," in HER OWN BIBLE, she looked up at me and said, "It can't mean that." So, here she is reading God's Word for herself and she cannot bring herself to accept it because it is contrary to what she has been taught. That was the problem with the Pharisees of Jesus' day, they loved their traditions more than they loved God's Word. This is what the Bible says about that, "in vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men." (Isaiah 29:13; Matthew 15:8-9; Mark 7:6-7; Ezekiel 33:31) Thank you for taking the time to put this podcast together. God bless your ministry as you spread the TRUTH of the Gospel.

Sorry, I commented before I listened all the way through. But thank you for talking about GotQuestions. I'm beyond thankful I watched this video. Now I can answer people when they want to debate this topic. Thank you so much, for what you guys are doing.
Hey Yooper! Thanks so much, first of all, for watching and supporting the podcast. It means a lot. Secondly, thank you for standing up for Jesus and what the Bible says. Many, many people will not like to hear the simple truth when Scripture speaks for itself. So glad you are standing up for the Bible! These are things we learned and grow from each other and help one another in this life. So thankful for Jesus' church. The pattern that Tucker mentioned is enunciated explicitly in Acts 18:8, "hearing, believing and being baptized." Every major conversion experience in the book of Acts, even though with some degree of uniqueness for each one, ultimately follows this process of coming to Christ - hearing, believing and being baptized: Acts 2:36-41 Acts 8:12-13 Acts 8:34-39 Acts 9:10-18; 22:12-16 Acts 10:34-48 Acts 16:14-15 Acts 16:30-34 Acts 18:6-8 Acts 19:1-5
Thank you for how in depth you went into this. I have had people tell me I'm in a cult, and I'm twisting scripture, and I'm the one condemning them. I try to explain I'm not, I'm just going by the Bible. I wish I would've known a lot of the points you guys made, when I had those conversations. This helped me so much for explaining this. Another point about the context of Ephesians 2:8-10 is that beginning in verse 11, Paul is making the point that these Gentiles in Ephesus had been separated from God because they were not in the covenant under the Old Law. He mentions the "law of commandments expressed in ordinances" (v. 15; ESV). Therefore, it seems that the works that they were not saved by are works of the Law of Moses.
Great job, my brothers. One tool to add to your toolbox concerning Eph. 2:8-9, how were the Ephesians saved? How did they understand grace? Obviously Titus 2:11-12, grace is Jesus and He instructs us (great job bringing that up Aaron), but how were they instructed? Go back to Acts 19:1-5, and you find the first conversion of the Ephesians. They had been baptized according to John’s Baptism when it was no longer valid. They then were baptized in the name of Jesus. So the Ephesians absolutely understood baptism to be a part of grace.
Honesty, fellow believers, we need people to expose child porn. It's not okay to ignore that its resl and that innocent children get raped. They need people dedicating their lives to finding and freeing them before they die enslaved. If it makes you uncomfortable to view child porn, you're exactly who they need to expose it. They need people to shift through the dark net and expose what pedophiles are doing. They need tmyou to pray for their escape and please pray their traffickers are brought to justice. Innocent children are dying. This is coming from a girl who was sexually abused as a child. We need people who can help to help. They hook people on drugs so they can traffick them. They buy children from third world countries where they are defenseless. We have to pay attention to evil if we are going to know how to fight it. If it freaks you out to think about this, think about how freaked out the kids are who are locked in cages right now. You can handle the mild discomfort. Its nothing compared to what they are going through. Please educate yourself, pray, and if you're willing to sacrifice your time to act on exposing them please do.
Another defense for baptism to add to your toolbox. In Ephesians 2:1 and 2:4 says that we were dead, and then "made alive". One must ask the question at what point are we made alive. Its only mentioned 2 times. Col 2:12-13 and Rom 6:4-11. It is through baptism that we are made alive in Christ.
Hey Julius! THANK YOU! Great question. Here's a link to a previous episode on another show by GBN made years ago that discusses the Holy Spirit: ua-cam.com/video/ttBsGq43VfI/v-deo.html
Hey guys, great discussion. What is your opinion on Jesus healing the sick and saying your sins are forgiven? I am going to look into whether Jesus also told the sick the same thing when He saw “how great their faith was.” Thanks I would love your input
i was 14 when i was baptized and saved. i have had a rough relationship with god since then, must i be baptized again? how many times must one be baptized to be saved?
Acts 10 and the great commission is enough, not including Acts 2:38 and other verses. It’s absolutely defying the word of God to deny baptism. Those who deny it have to give an explanation that makes no sense.
Christ himself says on multiple occasions tht baptism is necessary.“ unless you are born of water and spirit, you will not enter the kingdom” whoever believes and is baptized shall be saved , those who don’t are condemned . Even His final words to the apostles mention going forth preaching the gospel and baptism.
Enjoyed your show very much. With regard to Baptism...you gentlemen are "Spot On!!" Someone would have to have help to MISUNDERSTAND this. God Bless you all!

Thecrowrip1 so those things that you express are attributed to feelings. Feelings are not authoritative. Scripture is the authority. II Timothy 3:16-17. So clearly evident that in acts 2 that the sins of the audience had not yet been forgiven is the command connected with baptism which is repentance. They believed but they were not yet saved having not yet repented of their sins. You can't be saved with sins that have not yet been dealt with. In their zeal to confront the termination of their false application of Ephesians 2 that they simply are blind to this very glaringly obvious fact.
Hi, every believer must be baptized of baptism of repentance. Even the thief that was crucified with Christ has blessed by virgin Mary granting to pardoning of his sins. This baptism is the absence of sin and whenever we sin there is a guilt and conviction.
Did you watch the entire video? There are a lot of references to scripture in it that deal with the assertions you made. Since scripture is from the Holy Spirit and all of it is God's Word, the question then becomes: do we do what we want or what God wants?
Acts 2:38 - "Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the [k]remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the [k]remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."

No where in the Bible does it say you have to repent from your sins to be saved. You are saved by grace. Not by law. This is a false gospel.
And if you have to be baptized to be saved. That is not grace either. That is a work. Baptism is a response to being saved. Not a means to salvation.
