How to MAKE a Lo-Fi MICROPHONE from a TELEPHONE

  • In this video, we turn an old telephone handset into a funky stereo microphone. A quirky feature of this microphone is that we will be using both the microphone and the speaker from the handset to turn it into a microphone that can be used in both mono and stereo.

    Can you use a 3.5mm jack instead of an xlr?

    how do you know which wire to solder to which wire in the xlr cable? like each has 2 wires but what if you connect them to the wrong one, isn't there some problems with positives and negatives?

    don't you need voltage for the carbon mic?

      @@Noisegate yes the speaker is but not the carbon mic in the mouthpiece, which you also hooked up

    Do you just wire the positive and negative and ignore the ground on the XLR?
