I'm definitely in the "strings generally make songs worse" camp, although I like a solo cello or fiddle a lot. These are interesting alternative versions but, IMO, the released versions are better.
@@graciousfewThey are better based on the vibe he was going for, for sure.... these have a more classical cosmopolitan country vibe - like a mix of phil spector and gram parsons ... it doesnt really go with what he was doing. On another album though, with different songs, these would be ace
