You gave me the confidence to try a safety razor. Thank you so much for the tutorial. I found doing my arm pits less intimidating then my legs) maybe because there is less real estate) but both of your videos were so helpful.
Thank you, I have been nervous to attempt using my safety razor on my pits. This was really helpful.
Thank you so much for your videos! I'm looking to get a safety razor and be done with dull wastes of resources!
Never mind! I saw your answer for that in another video. Thanks!
You guys need to make a tour video of your shop.
Where do you purchase your Coates from? Also, I love your bowl. Is that something that you made?
Thanks!
I just stumbled upon your video and have been thinking of starting to is a safety razor. I have a few questions for you if you wouldn't mind answering for me. The alum and aftershave that you use, do you is that in place of deodorant? Also, you used a glycerin based soap, is this something you made yourself or something you purchased?
Hi. Love your old school shave tutorials geared towards women. Hope the womens series continues. I personally, don't use a double edge razor, but I do use a Gem Featherweight single edge razor & a Schick Injector Safety Razor for under arms/bikini line. Both give me superb shave results. That said, I have one tutorial suggestion & two questions. Can you do a tutorial on how to create your glycerin soap glide stick? And lastly my two questions. First, what is the best type of after shave balms or after shave lotions for women? And second, where did you purchase your shave brush? It's so lovely. I would like to order one for myself. Thx in advance for considering my request & for answering my questions. Have a nice weekend.
madamhummingbird that is great! If love to use a Straight razor but my hands are very shaky so I stick to a double edge.
i know your comment is old but ive been searching high and low for people who use the gem razor!! it's been calling to me for months but ive been too scared id be wasting my money in case it didnt work on pits and bikini area. but thanks to your comment i just ordered one from ebay! thank you so much, i can't wait to get it!!
Where can I get the products you used please? Name, brand, etc it would be very useful as it looks you highly recommend them
watching with my daughter. I wet shave with safety razors and straights so I've been trying to get my daughter into it.
Is there a video on how you chose your lather brush? Like what kind and why?
I was just wondering what kind of shaving brush is that? Thanks
That Jet head on the 18C is an interesting look :-)
Hi I’m very interested in buying a safety razor because if the fear of getting cut. I watched a video on how to shave my legs with one but I still have a fear of shaving my pits with a safety razor. Now looking at this video I feel like it was calmed my fear a bit and I will try to purchase my first safety razor thank you
Some people leave their alum block as a deodorant. If I do that do I still need to apply aftershave balm?
What handle do you use? Good one
What's that little block you used after your shave? I looked in the video info but I don't see it. Thank you.
i have a scar through the middle of one of my armpits, i am not sure how to go about shaving with it there. and there is hair growing very close to it. is it safe to go over the scar or should i not take any chances and avoid it?
What is the difference between lather and soap?
What is the name of that razor your using again?
do you substitute aftershave for deodorant ?
Thanks for video 🙋 👍
should you trim the hairs short before you shave if you have a lot of growth?
Alum is different than aluminum right? What are your favorite products right now? Good job. I was wincing the whole shave lol
+Jennell B (Enchanted) Alum is usually from Potassium Alum as opposed to some that consist of Aluminum Sulfate. Aluminum sulfate is also found in deodorant. Potassium alum is a natural astringent and deodorant, you can find it in Whole Foods. Crystal Deodorant is pure Potassium Alum.
Jennell B right now my favorite products are the Maggard MR18c handle and calypso head with a Rockwell blade. I use either a Maggard synthetic brush or my wolf whiskers synthetic. For soap I like to switch it up but I'm currently going back and forth between barrister and Mann, the sudsy soapery, and black ship grooming. As for aftershave I love Stirling soaps body butter.
This came up in a deodorant article on a health site just a week or so ago. Potassium Aluminum Sulfate is the most common form of alum used in alum blocks. Aluminum Sulfate is also used but not as often. Do a search for People's Pharmacy and read what they say about alum crystals, blocks etc. I'm definitely not saying don't use it, just be informed.
Your armpits are so fair like your body skin. How do you attain that? Being a brown skinned person, our armpits tends to be black even after shaving.. How can that be eliminated?
@xx xx I am asian too.. Indian to be specific.. I don't use much antiperspirant tbh.. And I thik the skin is like that.. Its not super dark or anything.. But slightly more darker than my skin complexion. Defenitely not like how the armpit is in the video
I know this an old video so I’m curious as to whether or not you will see it! But I want to switch to an adjustable safety razor for eco reasons. I have a mole on my underarm, and I just wanted to know if you thought this might be an issue for a safety razor? It hasn’t been for cartridge razors. Thanks!
It would definitely be easier to nick a mole with a safety razor than it would be with a cartridge razor. There is more blade exposure, so, more opportunity for it to happen. You would just need to be extra careful. The benefits would likely outweigh the challenges !!!
Maggard Razors thanks for your response! I’ve been thinking about getting an adjustable safety razor as my first to try. But I’m so quick when using my cartridge razor that I think I would need to slow the whole process down with a safety razor anyway.
You mentioned you usually shave in the shower....how does that work with all of those supplies? Where do you put the bowl...my shower only has a tiny little ledge that no bowl would sit on let alone the brush razor and everything else. Please show what it looks like in the shower . Where and how do you store the bowl and brush? I've heard not to store in the shower....do you have a video on how to care for your razor? I haven't tried yet...I'm just thinking about buying one now. I'm a minimalist and only use all natural products...this is way too many steps for me..I would appreciate you mentioning what is essential and what is not and more natural alternatives.
How often is good to shave legs, underarms? With a cartridge razor I can't go more often than 3-4 days because the hair is short and using a cartridge razor more often irritates it. But the stubble is annoying. Can you do it more often with a safety razor?
Thank you for these videos! :)
I shave every other day. Sometimes I shave daily and I have been known to shave twice a day. But that is just because I enjoy shaving!
Should i Use normal razor
Does that brush tickle?
Straight razor is much easier to use under your own arms - just a small both-hand training is needed.
The hair on my underarms are softer and finer than the hair on my legs though.
Good video. I subscribed. :)
your pits are literally colorless, I wonder if that has anything to do with using a safety razor?
Very nice
How long would a shaving brush like that last?
A few years, if you use it daily. Brushes with badger hair tend to last longer than brushes with boar bristles. Brushes with synthetic hair can outlive a badger or bite the dust in the first year if the water you soaked it in was too hot. But on the average, they last a few years until either the bristles are ruined or the knot that holds them together splits. Some people have several brushes which they use in rotation - in that case, a single brush can last 10 years. If you want your brush to last, you should rinse it after each use and let it dry thoroughly. You should also avoid shaving creams that contain silicone. Stuff like dimethicone or siloxane envelops the hairs, makes it increasingly difficult for them to absorb moisture and eventually they stick together. I've heard of people who ruined silver tip badgers with silicone-loaded shaving cream.
Buy a good quality shaving brushes the most expensive is with SilverTip of any brush material type. Because, SilverTip comes with high-quality hair pick and manufacturing and super-duper strong glue. It is range 50 buck-350 bucks, do not buy cheap shaving brushes like 4-10 bucks as intend the knot and tieing glue is super duper cheap trust me my brush came off after using shaving scuttle using hot-water. After, shave underarm 3 pass, arms hair 3pass, bikini area 2 pass and face 3 pass to relather with different shaving cream. After, I done the hair just come out and the glue stick went out sigh I throw away
I love shave ING with my safty Razer
my under arm hurts after I shave it.Is that normal?
Jonalyn Dejesus Your razor blade may just be dull and that's why it's causing irritation because you need a new one or maybe you're shaving too aggressively. You may also just have sensitive skin.
What type of shaving brush is best for body hair?
All are good really it's just matter of what shaving cream/shaving soap you used. Some, certain it's just for body parts and not face, some is multi-purpose use, or some is face. E.G face be Prosaro brand, E.G multi-purpose is Cremo brand & E.G for body parts is EOS brand
@@Alex00789 I hope that helps sorry fo the late response. It's been 6yrs and I just realized this haha. Enjoy for the tips
Where is the pit hair?

Aw did you ever get around to making a video about the types of safety razors to use for women? I'm new to safety razors and I'm loving what see but there's not much out there for women lol
Abby Diane everything out there is for women! The only difference is personal preference whether your a guy or a gal.
Incrediance write 🙏
hi
😍😍😍
النظافة حلوة
wooooow
You are absolutely gorgeous
Is this what a bathroom looks like in the country you live in? Love from the U.K:-)
Alum is an antiperspirant (1:50)? I don't think so. And it helps close your pores? I don't think so.
Alum blocks have been used by barbers for after shaving purposes longer than for arm pit stink. Just remember when you think you know all, there is always someone that knows more.
Or "during shaving purposes", because alum blocks are great for stopping bleeding. With a safety razor, you're less likely to cut yourself seriously, but if I used a straight razor, I'd use one. And, yes, they can double as deodorant, whether the original poster thinks so or not.@@giloro85
@@DellaStreet123 you are right. I didn't disagree with those points. I disagreed with his condescending attitude.
Super amm
I like your under arm
cute girl and knows his business, managed quickly.)
Daming sinabi HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Que te afeitas si eres lampiña como una botella....aunqUe si eres muy preciosa
You don't like armpit hair
Just i wanna ask you why you not like armpit hair???
I never shave my armpits with a razor, I never did it, never will. I have plucked my armpit hair since adulthood and it has never grown up thicker since then nor ever made my armpits darker. My advice to every person who hits adulthood, pluck your armpits hair and never shave with a razor.
Ahmed Kamal I use electric trimmers like the ones used in barber shops and I don't get ingrown hairs or any irritation and my armpits haven't gotten darker. It just doesn't last that long.
Hot
Dear..... before you try to teach us... how shave underarms... GROW ARMPITS.
Is stupid do it without hair.
who does shaving in the kitchen thats yucky and thats the place were you eat and make food there is something called the bathroom thats wear u could do shaving like really
It's hair and soap. If you're concerned about hair getting in your food you should probably re-evaluate how you cook your food...
As stated in the video, I normally shave in the shower but needed the light that was available in the kitchen to do the video.
I am not worried about shaving in the kitchen because I know how to clean up after myself.
I feel as if you can shave anywhere your little heart desires. You shouldn't have to be confined to the bathroom.
❤🥰🥰😍😍
your pits are literally colorless, I wonder if that has anything to do with using a safety razor?
I think some peoples skin tones just are like that. I am very pale and my pits are the same tone as the rest of me.
wooooow
I just brought a safety razor and was super intimidated about shaving my underarms with it (I had images of huge cuts in my head) but thanks to this video I'm not anymore. This video is super detailed about the steps to take but makes it really simple as well. Thank you!
