Army gave Oklahoma all they could handle in 2018. It's a given that OU's defense sucked but Army gives every defense fits whether they are good or bad. OU escaped because although Army controlled the clock, Kyler Murray ripped off enough runs and precision passes to ring up points. Army deserves all the respect in the world, "Service Academy" or not.
Army did me proud. Great game.
That fumble recovery for a touchdown was a blown call.

Cody Neal I’m not a Michigan fan, I actually kind of dislike them because they are overrated every year. And you can’t say the flexbone is simple just because it’s a 3 yards a cloud of dust offense. If it’s so simple then why did the almighty Michigan defense struggle to stop it?

I think people are mad because... Whats wrong with the offense? Is it that the line is bad? And if the offensive line is good then whats up with the running game and the passing game? I'm so confused because getting the top recruits should be easy for michigan. So is it the play calling? Someone please help me understand whats up with this team.

I have to say as a Sooner fan I think Army should have beat OU and then beat wolverines this year. They are a mistake away in both games. This game showed how good they are and how hard it is to prepare against that triple option
Definitely. I'm a huge Michigan fan, and also a huge Navy fan. I flew in to watch this game, but I knew that Army would probably give them a tough time. The flexbone style offense, and Army's variation of it can be really hard to defend. It's my favorite offensive scheme.
Army has come a long way, and improved in the last few years. I have a TON of respect for the service academies' football teams. I wish Jim Harbaugh would adapt a little of the Flexbone offense. He definitely has the personnel for it.
As a Michigan fan, we do not deserve rank #7 in the country, Ball Security is still a problem, Obvious calls on 3rd-4th down conversations and ffs we did a trick play on them (smh). Hopefully they clean up the mess in 2 weeks otherwise it'll be a long night.

As a Buckeyes fan I'm not going look to much into this game but the turn overs in particular coming from the QB position is alarming. You just cant turn the ball over like that and think ur going to compete for B1G titles.
Finally an Ohio state fan that's reasonable lol. But honestly, it seems like everyone in our backfield except for charbonnet wanted to be sponsored by butter fingers. Hopefully our starting left tackle will be back from injury by wisconsin, and we're still missing Peoples-Jones. With them, hopefully Michigan figures their shit out.

I mean, they won the game right. Ohio State lost to a garbage purdue team by 30 last year and they still went 13-1. Teams are allowed to have rough performances, and its not like Army is a bad team. They were almost ranked in the preseason polls. Im not trying to make excuses for Michigan, but man people are going too far the other way. Michigan will probably recover just fine. I mean, we wont beat Ohio st cuz we suck, but the rest of the teams, Michigan has a good chance to beat

Its called they are really good. Georgia tech has upset several ACC teams over the years and they run the same offense as Army. Its hard to prepare for a team that runs the triple option almost exclusively. Theres so much misdirection in the offense. Also, Army had won 10 straight games heading into tonights game, so it wasn't like this was supposed to be a 50 pt blowout. Michigan should have still won comfortably, but 3 fumbles is gonna make that difficult.
Conor Jones this is first time I witness this kind of offense I could see how it can wear down defenses thought out the game and chew clock. If you had a solid rush defense it would be easy to stop that offense really all you got to do is constantly stack 8-9 guys in the box.

Michigan is ranked #7 because of the obligitory "every conference get's two in the top ten" effort to not seem biased at the beginning of the season.Thats fine, no games have been played at that point so it does not really mean anything. I will allow that the modified Wing-T that Army runs is hard to prepare for, because you see it only once every 5 years or so, and you can't get the scout team to similuate the look. But the offense managed only 14 points in regulation, and 7 of those came off of a turnover. They had one decent drive that ended in points. Amy ran a basic 4-2 defense with man under coverage the entire game, and Harbaugh couldn't get that figured out? They are unworthy. The only thing keeping them in the top 12 this week is the fact that both Texas and TAMU lost, but it was to much better opponents.
Not gonna exactly help their ranking though....😑
