I don’t comment much but I just want to say how much I appreciate your videos. A lot of alike channels, switched to do tool reviews, with a bunch of links in description when they got bigger audience. So thank you for not shoving tools 24/7 in our faces and keep giving us what we liked about your channel!!
I couldn’t agree with this more, perhaps if their likes start to drop off they might post a build video once in a while. Love Matt’s channel and Facebook page!
Here’s a great tip for the pink foam board. Cut it in half or thirds or whatever, then tape one side with duct tape. It folds open and closed for easy storage. Works great.
Toothpick Peech - That brad nail tip is awesome, cannot tell you how many times my heavy handed drilling snapped those small bits. Have a great Labor Day!
Toothpick. I have held off on the close cell foam due to the storage aspect of having it. Didn't even think about under the table! You learn something new everyday!
I learned the drill with a nail trick in jr. high wood shop. The nice thing is that they bend, rather than breaking, so I don't end up with part of a bit embedded in the wood.
Toothpick! Love you videos, I don’t feel like I am watching an infomercial for the most expensive tool there is like many other UA-camrs. Very helpful and I learned some new thing’s today.
Toothpicks are useful 👌. I really enjoy your series. I'm just starting my wood working adventures and this channel helps me way more than you know. Thank you for everything you post. Please keep it up.
Toothpick. I found your channel through your tips and tricks shorts. And have now watched every video. Thanks for keeping me inspired to keep on keepin on.
Love your videos. Using the Brad nails is genius! I break the small drill bits all the time & have several of the Brad nails that’s loose when I don’t use the whole roll. Thank you for all the tips! I tell my customers about you all the time & tell them to look you up.
Dude! That Brad nail tip is insane! I'm so using that. The amount of times I break a bit when working on a jobsite and don't have time to go to the store. Absolute game changer thanks matt
Thanks for the clever tips and tricks for woodworking. When will you show us a Matthew Peech design for setting up a jigsaw table - to use instead of a bandsaw? Yes, there are several such designs on UA-cam, but I think you have a particularly clever mindset for such designs.
Toothpick. That cord wrapping trick is awesome! And us machinists us that "pick" to layout marks for machining parts. You paint the part in a blue or red die so you can see your marks better for machining and center punching.
Toothpick. Always enjoy helpful hints. Oftentimes I know the tips, or rather I knew them at one time, then kinda forgot. It's always fun to run through them again and enjoy learning them as if it's the first time.
Toothpick. Went straight to the shop to check that last tip and hot dang! Couldn’t believe it. Shows how uncurious I am ha ha. Never knew about that wee pokey thingy. That will definitely come in handy. Thanks Matt!
Toothpick. This are great tips! Love the brad nail one. I think I'm going to try it today and break a few intentionally, just because I've sent hundreds of regular 1/16" bits to the bit graveyard over the years and they might be getting lonely.
I was working at my father-in-law's last week and needed a 1/8" bit to pre drill some boards. I couldn't find his bits so I clipped the head off a 6d nail. It worked well enough for my purposes.
1:48 I had one of those screwdrivers where the metal part pulls out of the handle and you can flip it so you have Phillips and flat head. Stuck it in my drill and now I had an extra long bit that worked perfectly.
Back in the day before nail guns, I used a lot of finish nails to put things together. I would chuck a finish nail in my drill to make pilot holes so the wood wouldn't split when I drove in the nail. Your tip on replacing a small bit reminded me of my old practice. Yes, I don't think I have any tiny drill bits that have not been broken off in a project. 😢
Toothpick. A lot of little hacks become so common practice you forget everyone doesn't know them. So much wisdom comes from years of work! Thanks for always sharing yours.
I have that same black and decker drill...I bought it about 20yrs ago and still works great...and Ive really tried to burn it up a couple times....its like an old toyota truck without oil....itll keep runnin...lol
Toothpick! OHMIGOSH - I never knew about that. And thank you for the sandpaper square-up tip. I'm definitely going to get one of the Kreg-jig dog hole clamps. I'm forever trying to figure out how to clamp stuff down without the clamp getting in the way. Once again Matthew - thank you so very much for sharing your videos - they are very much appreciated!
Learned about the combination tool scribe almost 36 years ago when my grand was around, those days if you had Stanley Marples or Record woodworking tools you were worth you salt, just the other day i found one of the combination squares
"Toothpick" well these were some great tips and tricks. I started using the foam as a backer not too long ago, and I really like it. It makes a big difference
Toothpick love those tips couple there hadnt come across before. Looking forward to the next smalls video oh maybe some wood turning videos?? 🏴👍🤔
That electrical cord wrap method is almost identical to rope whip knot, used on the ends of rope to keep them from fraying. Very cool that a method thousands of years old applies to modern tools too.
Toothpick Love the tips. Will be heading to my lock-up tomorrow hoping to find the scribe poking out of the handle that I have missed for the last 7 years 👍👍
Toothpick. I always learn things from your videos. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience!!! My dad passed away a few years ago and I inherited all of his tools. I’ll be retiring in a couple of years and one of your videos popped up randomly. Because of that one video (and your channel), I’ve decided to start a side hustle to keep my mind busy in retirement. Maybe I’ll be able to earn a couple of bucks along the way too!!!
I am a retired contractor and used most of the tricks you showed. I didn't know how you wound up the cord on a drill nor the trick of useing styrofoam under work you need to cut. I am in my eighty and a little late to use them now! Nice video!
Teethstick (there's a story behind it lol) Didn't know about the brad nail or cord tricks. I have that Kreg clamp and use it about the same way. Great content. Having thought about setting up a channel it occurred to me that it would be difficult to consistently come up with ideas for new content. So kudos for pressing forward. I know it isn't always easy.
Toothpick! Funny, I'm sure your dentist appreciates those extra grooves. I've been following your inspirational and motivational videos for years! Keep it up! When I finally make something that sells, I'll post it to the brag board.
This was awesome. That last one. Toothpick. Being new, I didn't understand what the point was of the level on a ruler. 😂😂😂 But now I know. Use it for a toothpick. Thank you for this really useful information. ❤

I totally agree, 2tart. I am becoming irritated with channels that have turned into tool salesmen and have started unsubscribing from them.
Me as well
Looking at you 731 Woodworks 😅
Ditto 😊
Here’s a great tip for the pink foam board. Cut it in half or thirds or whatever, then tape one side with duct tape. It folds open and closed for easy storage. Works great.
Thank you judy. Great tip!
Typed out my comment and as I hit send I see this comment lol.
I also did this and added tape to the outside edges to keep it from chipping off. The sheet folded in 3rds stores compactly in my small shop.
Wow, what a great hack about the drill bit! Actually, I’ve appreciated every one of your tips. Thank you.
I enjoy listening to your voice. 🙂
UA-cam notifications have been a bit inconsistent lately. Thanks for the videos! Very helpful and inspiring!👍
Your videos are great. I'm retired and am starting to sell woodworking. Your videos are inspirational and so helpful.
Can't say thanks enough.
My wife showed me the tip with the level. Genius!
I thought that trick with the level was much better and faster than what I was using. Love that trickQ
Toothpick Peech - That brad nail tip is awesome, cannot tell you how many times my heavy handed drilling snapped those small bits. Have a great Labor Day!
I feel ya! Thank you and you as well.
I swear brad nails are even stronger than those stupid drill bits. lol
These are great practical tips. Thumbs up.
Toothpick. I always like to listen to your ideals. Your tips and tricks have saved me many headaches. If I could just remember them all! Thank you.
Great ideas, fun to watch, thank you.
Toothpick. I have held off on the close cell foam due to the storage aspect of having it. Didn't even think about under the table! You learn something new everyday!
👍
Cut and tape your foam accordion then unfold for use. Just don’t cut on a joint with the tape up.
Love these tips. Especially the way to wrap the cord around a drill.
Yes! Thank you!
Wow! I could have, and will save a fortune on drill bits - thanks Matthew!
I learned the drill with a nail trick in jr. high wood shop. The nice thing is that they bend, rather than breaking, so I don't end up with part of a bit embedded in the wood.
The drill cord knot is just a hangman's noose around the handle lol its genius and very useful
That bar stool! That's genius!
Thanks!
Toothpick Always enjoy your content. Especially the "Smalls".
Thanks for taking the time. JimE
Great tips - thanks for sharing man!
Toothpick, barstools are a brilliant idea as well! Brilliant!
Thanks!
Toothpick! Love you videos, I don’t feel like I am watching an infomercial for the most expensive tool there is like many other UA-camrs. Very helpful and I learned some new thing’s today.

Great video, following you in Cartago Costa Rica America, keep going my friend. Pura Vida !
Dude! That Brad nail tip is insane! I'm so using that. The amount of times I break a bit when working on a jobsite and don't have time to go to the store. Absolute game changer thanks matt
Thank you for the great video. I got a lot from it.
Loved this!
Toothpick. Closed cell foam was a great tip as well as the brad nail drill bit...
Thanks for the clever tips and tricks for woodworking. When will you show us a Matthew Peech design for setting up a jigsaw table - to use instead of a bandsaw? Yes, there are several such designs on UA-cam, but I think you have a particularly clever mindset for such designs.
Toothpick would be my use of choice. Love all the tips. Thanks for sharing and have a safe and happy Labor Day!
lol agreed. You as well.
I love woodworking and it would make my year to spend one day in your shop just to say i actually saw a great woodworker a work
I love the painter tape trick, for a clean edge. Thank you Matt.
Toothpick. That cord wrapping trick is awesome! And us machinists us that "pick" to layout marks for machining parts. You paint the part in a blue or red die so you can see your marks better for machining and center punching.
Thank you, I'm a brand new wannabe wood worker and any tips are so helpful!!
Great tips man.

Such great tips, learned a lot 🙏

Toothpick. Love these tips. I have just discovered your channel. Gonna encourage our members to subscribe. A lot of information here!
Toothpick.
Loved the tips! These are the kinds of things that make woodcraft much better and easier.
Toothpick. Good video. Learned a couple of things. I really need to get back into the shop.
Good to hear!
Awesome tips. Tooth pick
Toothpick, thanks for the tips. I learned a couple of new ones.
Love the hack about wrapping the cords!! Now if I can figure out how to do that with my circular saw...🤔🤔
I used an old stool that goes up and down works great for different sized objects
Toothpick. Thank you Mathew. Tips are always appreciated.
I have that same black and decker drill...I bought it about 20yrs ago and still works great...and Ive really tried to burn it up a couple times....its like an old toyota truck without oil....itll keep runnin...lol
That toothpick trick is great. I pick my dentures with it all the time. Enjoy all your videos and yes I've learned tons of time saving tips.
Thanks for the video. Big pink foam fan. I did not see the link anywhere for the Kreg clamp going through the work table.
Hey it’s in the description of those video. I’ll paste it here but not sure if it’ will be clickable.
Kreg automax bench clamp amzn.to/4glJ4j5
Thanks! I looked through the links and missed it. Looked on your Amazon page too. Lots of Kreg links 😂
That scribe also works well on hot rolled steel, puts a nice clean mark on the mill scale surface.
Toothpick. Great hacks. Liked the bar stool hack
Thank you!
I've seen pipe couplers used to join pipes to make any length you need for clamps, as long as the little bump doesn't cause a problem.
Toothpick? I wouldn't have thought of that one. Nice!
Thanks great tips
Toothpick. Now I have to go get some barstools.
Great Tips Matthew!
Learned about the combination tool scribe almost 36 years ago when my grand was around, those days if you had Stanley Marples or Record woodworking tools you were worth you salt, just the other day i found one of the combination squares
WTF! Thank you for sharing that tip I'm never buying another drill bit thank you thank you thank you❤
Those are all great ideas. How to you like the mini ductless hvac system? Is it difficult to keep clean while woodworking?
I like it. I just clean the filter out once a week and all has beem good so far.
Toothpick. Thanks, found your channel recently and am trying to get confident in the shop working with hubbies tools. Your tips are very helpful.
Awesome! Thank you!
"Toothpick" well these were some great tips and tricks. I started using the foam as a backer not too long ago, and I really like it. It makes a big difference

Toothpick thanks again Matt! Always enjoyable and informative.
Toothpick.
Any tips for removing the broken end of the drill bit - or brad nail if it breaks - from the wood?
Love the bar-stool/painting table tip!

thanks
Toothpick! Thanks for the video!
Thanks for watching!
Toothpick! Another great video. Thanks
Matthew, I keep catching a glimpse of your chop-saw hood, and I'd love to know more about it. Have you done a vid on it?
This was awesome. That last one. Toothpick. Being new, I didn't understand what the point was of the level on a ruler. 😂😂😂 But now I know. Use it for a toothpick. Thank you for this really useful information. ❤
