Love, good food, warm beds, safety, kindness, compassion, all this & so much more from now on for these beautiful souls. Thank you Jill & @AnimalsAsia 🙏
Thank you for all that you do! Each and every one of you! I am looking forward to more updates and watching them play in a life they deserve....to live in peace and free from harm.
And everything started with a woman's compassion... Jill's 💖There's been said from some wise souls in the past that when women understand their real power then our world will be transformed into a blessing.... ❤️
💔 breaking to see the wear on the 🌙🐻bodies and the stereotypic weaving. But there's so much hope and ❤ on your faces.... we'll get these gentle souls back as Nature intended. 🙏 and thanks to you all for giving Midnight, Dawn, Noon, Twilight and Chronos a new life 🤗 With you all the way!
Jill has such a heart for these bears. I loved how she touched her nose to illustrate to the bear where the mess on his face was. Just as you might do for a child.
Love and hugs and healing and peace to beautiful Chronos and all these rescued bears .💞💞💞💞💞And praying that all bile farming will be banished very soon.🙏
You know Jill, you and your wonderful staff, should not be thanking us, we should be thanking you for having such good hearts. I am ashamed to say I knew nothing about this, till maybe 2 years ago, when I took out a sub, I feel quite ashamed I didn't help a long time ago.
Thank you for your kind words, and please don't feel bad; bear bile farming is still unknown in the west. We're hoping to change that, please do tell your friends and family about it 💚
Thank you, this is wonderful to see. Such awful scarring on the foreheads of some. So hard to think how miserable they were for so long to rub their heads so much. Will the hair grow back to some extent?
Gret question, and yes sometimes it does grow back but sometimes not, depending on the depth of the scars. Either way, the behaviour that caused the head rubbing does abate and sometimes stop completely once at sanctuary ❤
I realize this video is probably more than a month old, but why are they or were they still in small cages at the time? It seems that that alone would cause much stress, yes?
Thank you for your question. On arrival our rescued bears go into a quarantine cage so they can get used to their new surroundings, they can get to know their carers and we can monitor them closely and assess their physical and emotional needs. It also protects them and our resident bears against cross-contamination. If they were put into a cage or area much bigger or different to what they’ve been used to for decades, it would be overwhelming and they would likely have an adverse, potentially trauma-inducing or dangerous reaction. We have to introduce new sounds, sensations, tastes and environments at a slow pace. Please be assured that with over 25 years of expertise, learning and research, our expert teams know that this is exactly what Dawn needs right now and we would never do anything that would hurt her further. We shower bears in quarantine with love, great food, toys and monitor them closely for a period, and then they are moved to an enclosure with their own den, big open spaces, and are introduced to other bears.
Please don't apologise, and thank you for asking. Bears, mostly moon bears, are caught in the wild or bred on farms so their bile can be repeatedly extracted and sold as traditional medicine. They are kept in cages without any access to the outside or other bears. They are kept like this for years, often decades. Animals Asia has rescued over 670 bears from bile farms and we are on the cusp of ending it for good in Vietnam: we've signed an agreement with the government to close all the farms and rescue the 300 bears who live on them. We've just broken ground on a new sanctuary to house the bears, as soon as it's built we can start rescuing them. I'm 62 years old this year, I will go to my grave wondering how mankind can be just so cruel.
Yes, it is heartbreaking to see what we can inflict. ... But, how wonderful to see what can be achieved when kindness and learning unite us.🌏💞
Same here. how could we treat living beings this bad?

@@HKAAF thank you, it’s just brilliant that you are able to give them a second chance to be bears ❤️
