@@TeamMatchbook i hope this does nt sound silly but a parade ring is to show how the horse looks etc. Even more so if first time out. So why are they allowed to keep the rug on until they exit the ring. Surely they should do one lap with the rug off. as i do get infuenced how they look before betting. Also i think the horses should run past the stands for us punters to look at them and then turn around to go to start in they need too. Know one ever listens to me though
Question: Statistically, which racecourse, apart from Cheltenham, has the best record of producing winners at the festival on their most recent run? Also which course has the poorest record and what percentage of winners have run at a previous festival?
I think lossiemouths run at Kempton wasn't actually that bad all things considered. She definitely going to the champion hurdle. I think she has every chance of beating CH at Cheltenham, especially if it was very soft the first day.
I'm absolutely positive that Lossiemouth hated the track and the ground was a bit lively, I wouldn't give up on Lossiemouth for the champion hurdle. I believe that sir gino is to good for the arkle, I would love to see Sir gino win the champion hurdle then go for the champion chase next year.
Dale you could be right I think stateman isn't up to it, Ballyburn might be overrated but i don't think so probably running over a trip to short and bumped into a superstar and Lossiemouth is top class I think I really don't think she was at her best but again she was trying to beat con hill she'd beat him over 2 and a half but don't know if she can over 2 miles
Willie mullins has had loads of winners. So could it be his stars. Lossie. Ballyburn and stateman just are not good enuf now they have faced realy special horses.
I tend to agree with that , connections & above all tipsters were very confident beforehand. No mention of the going or track not suiting or wrong distances. I For me C H is still very much the one to beat . He should improve a lot for his first run & . I honestly can see no reason why Lossiemouth should turn the form around & if Brighterdaysahead runs I think the fast pace will be ideal for him to pounce up the hill.
With all due respect where on earth did the English fella get his informmation regarding Lossiemouth. Saying she had run faster than that in other races !! I suggest he has a look at Kevin Blakes excellent column in his At the races column. He did a breakdown of every race Lossiemouth had ever run & it showed that Lossiemouth had never ran anywhere even close to the pace she had to run at Kempton . Your Report card reads ,"" Can do better " !
Early stages at Kempton they were travelling at 32/33 mph and she was struggling. Entering the straight in the Hatton's Grace the leader was travelling 34/35mph and she was on the bit closing on the leader! Watch the International at Cheltenham and again cantering going to the last at 35/36mph. I suggest you look at Kevin Blake's article again and take out exactly what he was saying - she had not travelled at that speed EARLY in the race or at a sustained pace throughout the race. She was caught out that day. Whether she wasn't right or caught out as she was expecting to go a lot slower or wants a bit more juice or not suited by Kempton (or combination of any/all) I don't know but one thing is certain she certainly has the speed to travel well at 32/33mph when she is on song. If the same Constitution Hill turns up at Cheltenham, he will have no answer to Lossiemouth IMO. I suspect he will improve if he gets there. Matt Tombs or as you refer to him "the English fella" is an excellent analyst and his comments on Lossiemouth are spot on. Your report card reads "Can do better but needs to listen"

Same question as last year, please Matt.
Give 2 horses you are looking at for handicaps, particularly the Kim Muir

I think horse should only be enter in one race and all races should be confirmed 2 weeks before race time. ???

I wouldn't say ballyburn is overrated, I would say that ballyburn just bumped in to a monster.
@@marcot4863 time might show he had an impossible task and he really is not bred to be a 2 miler..

Do you see an argument for reducing the Broadway to 2m 6f?
