I love seeing you both together on you tube. You're funny and aurhentic. Really enjoy all you share with us. Makes me appreciate history all the more!! You guys spar in such a fun way.
You guys are coming up with some amazingly enjoyable content! Keep the entertainment coming. You guys are my new 2022 "Laverne and Shirley". Love you guys!
It’s always good to reflect on the things that went “wrong” in our lives;only to discover they weren’t ALL that bad in the grand scheme of things and how truly lucky we are. I’m so glad the duck didn’t die. 😁
Fun video but happy that there weren't truly all terrible disasters (poor secretly named duck, may you heal completely). I'd love to see an episode where the Queen Elizabeth's bath is drained, cleaned and then refilled. If, for nothing else, we could finally see how much ancient sediment was at the bottom. There are probably more steps than anyone realizes.
I have to agree, swimming in Queen Elizabeth's bath "pool" was a disaster - SO SCARY! Unfortunately, I was giggling at Luke saying you were so dramatic but I was cringing for you and wanted to save you at the same time!😂
Thank goodness you are both so kind and happy together; After watching Anatomy of a Scandal about the 11th Duke of Argyll, I was revolted by their behavior to each other and actually had nightmares. It’s a joy to watch your wit and story telling. I love the history and the day to day activities you reveal. Disasters and all. p.s. Julie, I totally believe that was quicksand in the old Queen Elizabeth pool where you were getting sucked in!😂
I am an American married to a Brit as well. We used to live in Higher Ansty, a stone's throw from you, and I had no idea you were so near! We live a little further from you now, although still in Dorset, and I only just happened across your wonderful videos this past Christmas. Now working my way through them, and enjoying every minute.
I love your sweater and hat Julie! You both are great together! All of your videos are amazing! The history, stories, your naturalness, humor, lovely tours, recipes, meeting your staff, listening to John and Caroline, are just beautiful ❤️! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with all of us!
You both are just so adorable together. I love your candid content. Much love to you both. I did watch you both taking down the decorations. Glad you are better now, Julie. I’m glad your duck is also doing well. I had Covid over Thanksgiving & now I have it again. Please take good care of each other. You both make the simplest things entertaining. I’m terrified of cows, also. Stay safe you two. I’ve been reading up on the British Royals & your last name comes up frequently. I’m sure there’s a relative to your husband. Much love from Colorado.❣️
This is a fantastic channel!! Each family member is so interesting and wonderful to watch!! Julie did get USA time zones, well done! Covid Christmas sounds delightful. No cooking or cleaning just feeling miserable and people bringing you meals. I really enjoyed the video!! Love from Vermont
I like the Mapperton Extra because you can really see the difference in presentation between the two. One is more mellow and laid back and Julie is let’s go and hyped up. 😂 I’ve seen most of the disaster. Kudos to all of you because your property requires a LOT of responsibility. So kudos.
All five of us here just recovered from covid. Glad you had some things already done for Christmas. I am sure it wasn't fun for any of you, especially you, Julie! Glad you are doing better now. I love the positive spin/silver lining Luke put on it all!
Happy for the duck and recovery. I think you all do an amazing job in keeping the property up and running. As far as UA-cam you are all naturals when it comes to filming and producing
Thank you for sharing your beautiful home and all that it takes to maintain such an estate. I love your senses of humor. I have been waiting for this episode! 😹 Be well.
Thank you guys for some fantastic enjoyable and histrionic content on Mapperton. Like many others, travel outsides ones own country “Australia “ is almost impossible due to Covid, your presentation make us feel as if we are there. Hopefully latter this year you may see us visiting Mapperton. Thank you.
HI! Greetings from the Philippines! I am alwayas amaze whenever I watch United Kingdom's estately manor houses and castles. I hope and pray to God that you will be able to maintain it for the next generations to come. And i love you both, one can see that yours is a happy marriage, you complement eachother. God Bless you more and more.
I remember when i first watched Downton Abbey and i thought how amazing it would be to live in a house like that. But i hate being cold and Julie you always look so cold. I wouldn't want to get out of bed in the mornings.
I loved watching your videos and the live tours. I happy to hear about your duck getting better. I hope you reach 100,000 subscribers soon! Love from, Ontario, Canada! 💖🥰🇨🇦💖
I have only recently found your channel. I'm really enjoying it. Lord and Lady Mapperton have so much knowledge of the history and furniture. You are both so much fun, it's so lovely watching you both. My favourite so far is when you went for a swim in Queen Elizabeth bath. I laughed so much. Thankyou. Melanie Campbell
When your roads or tracks get washed out, I think that you need to install large culverts (made from concrete, or steel, could even have small bridges of stone or bricks), that way your road should be safe for the future. Just need to inspect them every year and remove any blockages.
He's so British and She's so American. Great to see your chemistry. I am glad Julie is fine from Covid. I had a mild case over NYE. ( ugh...)Take care to you both. oxox from Philadelphia.
I would like a video explaining more about the Titles. They baffle me. Thank you for all you do to preserve such amazing history and sharing it with us!
It's great that you can chuckle about the mishaps, before you fix your road, consider getting a expert in on contours and swales to slow the water and have it drain out of your property without causing damage. Is it time to clear out the sand and muck from the queens bathing pool? It looked like such a mystical place for a swim. Consider blending your chocolate ice with a frozen custard, might help with the texture. Looking forward to your 2022 garden adventures, hope you can show us what your gardeners have planed. Thanks for sharing and looking forward to your next video.
As someone with a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology, I love the dynamics of this wonderful couple as well as the extraordinary estate. As a lover of England, the videos are always a special treat.
Seeing the Earl and Countess of Sandwich is so much like watching the two of you. The Vicount and Vicountes it's such a beautiful thing. Thank you for sharing your lives with us.
Just a thought… have you considered having QE’s Pool drained and the sediment removed? I’m wondering if it has an outflow at the end where Julie felt she was being sucked under. Probably not high on the list of “things Mapperton needs done” but it would be good to know from a safety perspective. Cheers and thanks for sharing your gorgeous estate with the world.
Love the pair of you. Magic! Brill! What a joy and cheer to watch. Looking forward to watching you guys the rest of this year. Thank goodness there's you and your team in this quite not so good newsy world we have at the moment. I prefer your chaos, your happy, hilarious chaos. 🥰♥
Yes, your channel has evolved, but was great even in the beginning -- especially as everyone was craving some form of connection and pleasant distraction. Really loved seeing John and Caroline, Earl and Countess Sandwich share memories, history, and architecture and garden knowledge -- we need more of them! Maybe you could feature them on occasion for afternoon tea discussing the Earl's story collection about Mapperton or other reminiscences of their time at Mapperton -- their verbal interplay is charming and engaging!
Turning on the notification bell doesn’t cause any beeping or buzzing on UA-cam (on my iPad), but it’s ensures that your new videos come up in my feed.
Would love to see some of the linens that have been used through the years. Aprons, towels, napkins, table cloths, doulies, all things linen. Are any signed in stitch by the creators of the linens?
I have to agree with Luke about the new title. Although the Queen Elizabeth bath could do with a really good cleaning, I believe it was adventurous, not disastrous. Albeit scary, it was also funny and entertaining. I'm looking forward to the bath cleaning/restoration.
Julie is the best thing to happen to Mapperton and the noble family there. I know money is always an issue with these houses and where would they be if they didn't have her? She's got that American hustle and excited, outgoing personality perfect for camera work. If they keep up the youtube channel they could eventually start making millions just from posting videos. I wish them so much luck, and they really are a cute couple. It's refreshing how real they are, usually couples on YT are obsessed with appearances and seeming perfect.
Great show...., quite entertaining! As the owner of a restoration shop, I enjoy watching them take on every new challenge. Best wishes in preserving this piece of history. I appreciate your hard work and positive can do spirit!
Glad you've recovered well Julie! I too have covid right now, just got back from Cancun and I blame it on the airport. But i have the super mild case of a runny nose. currently isolating and awaiting my negative rapid test before I head out. I'll be one of the "super immune" folks after this and will be traveling more! already booked my travels. :)
I was only actually I'll for 2 or 3 days, but very tired for at least 2 weeks. I got sick right after Christmas, and I was already dehydrated and run down before I was sick at all, so that probably made it harder to recover.
Good idea to move to Saturday for the main vlog. I think lots of your viewers will also be subscribers to chateau channels such as The Chateau Diaries and others. Sunday nights might also be named "chateau night". Good to have new content spread across the week!
I was wondering if you have any antiques samplers on the walls at Mapperton? It would so lovely if you could photograph them and share them in one of your videos. There is a whole lot of stitchers out there, that only stitch reproduction samplers. Which are samplers from the originals held in someone’s possession or collection.
My son has three chickens he is raising for a project, and one suddenly decided to fly over the 6 ft fence (with clipped wings) straight to the neighbor's dog. There were definitely some feathers lost, and I thought it was a goner, but fortunately the dog didn't really know what to do with a live animal. Our hen made a full recovery, but the worst was when I thought I was going to have to tell my son Patsy was dead.
There are always going to be something going on with a estate like this. You can try your best and hope it all works out. I have COVID AGAIN. But I'm getting better but it does gets tiresome being sick. Glad your doing better. Keep on doing what your doing and I enjoy the history behind your lovely estate. Julie is adventuresome and isn't afraid to do things that need to be done. NOTHING VENTURED NOTHING GAINED
I use to make ice cream using a plastic canister that I would put in all the ingredients (everything as cold as possible then shake it for a littke bit then put it in the freezer to chill down then shake it and repread and occassionally scraping down the sides for that portion that goes solid over time.
Love the body language. Perfect pair.... I have to lean towards Luke, with the road is disastrous. I pray you raise enough money to fix that.... maybe after the other repairs, you can find away to clean the Elizabeth pool. Thank you for the smile tonight. 😃
How about: Our Top Five Ideas that Bombed? I love watching your videos especially lying here on my 4th day of covid. I have to say I've had colds that were far worse. Glad you got over it, Julie.

You guys are coming up with some amazingly enjoyable content! Keep the entertainment coming. You guys are my new 2022 "Laverne and Shirley". Love you guys!
Disastrous Disasters !
All luck for de-disastering them!!
I already know that this will be a fun video. You two always make me laugh. Thank you. Have a blessed day.

I am so scared of water I can't see to the bottom. I grew up with Jaws🦈🦈🦈 She is more brave than me entering that pool of murky water.
@@lisamartin3734 I know! I agree - I couldn't set one toe in murky water!!
You two are hilarious. Love the way you bounce off each other. So entertaining. Thank you 😊

Love you guys. Thank you for your honesty. Info you share is insightful.
I was probably one of your first subscribers. I’ve seen all from the beginning! Love you guys.
As an aside, I’m reading ‘Jane Austen’s England - A Travel Guide’ and here is Mapperton mentioned on p227,8 & 231. Made my day!!

Oh. That's a great idea!
I would like to see them, too.
Looks like you both had loads of fun making this video! Thank you for taking us along.
I just love you two. After knowing each other for so long you still get on so well and seams like you have so much fun together ❤
I missed New Years with Covid and the next 16 days. Love the weight loss from it. Your father in law was so diplomatic with the ice cream.
I like Luke's title for the video."The Top 5 Things That Weren't To Good" should be an annual video event!!!! Love from Vermont

I did enjoy your reading of the diary. That archive is a dream to me.
You two are lovely. No disasters as long as you both are at the helm. Live long and prosper.

I love British manor houses.....thanks for not letting it get torn down
Thoroughly Enjoyed this Episode.🥰
Looking back at what You have Both Achieved since 2020,
was Wonderful.😌
You two are a hoot!!! Regardless, of all the crazy disasters, you're both still standing. So glad!!!!
Totally agree with your hubby, too much buzzing.
Glad you're feeling better! I had covid over Thanksgiving. We didn't have dinner until Sunday.
I have really enjoyed listening to both of you. I'm looking forward to seeing more of this channel.
Love the body language. Perfect pair.... I have to lean towards Luke, with the road is disastrous. I pray you raise enough money to fix that.... maybe after the other repairs, you can find away to clean the Elizabeth pool. Thank you for the smile tonight. 😃

Everything that comes from you are interesting and good .. thanks .. looking forward to 2022
Fabulous episode!
Love you two together! Always makes me laugh.
I just LOVE you guys!!! You cheer me up!
Lol. Too funny 🤣.
I really would like and appreciate an episode with more in depth information on how mapperton is heated.
I know you briefly mentioned it in one of your first episodes. However, I think a lot of people may be able to benefit from the insight. It seems genius and eco friendly.
Some more information will be coming out this weekend!
@@MappertonLive YAY!! Lol. Look forward to it!

That so cheered me up :) .....just made my day!
My aunt, who had a dairy farm, was gored twice by a cow, neither episode was fatal. It is wise to be cautious around cattle, even ones without horns.
You two are so funny and adorable! 💖
