- This video is a time construction of the model railway set I did from 2009 to 2014, of how it looked when I started building it and how it looked at the end, even though it has been pulled apart and is being rebuild into a better layout (I hope).
Please enjoy this video of my old model layout.

The layout looks absolutely fantastic and the attention to detail is superb. Great work! 👍
The lighting at night looked so good!
That's one amazing layout. 👍
Yeah it was amazing at the time
The bridge gave me an idea for my layout, great layout !
This is amazing! Mind showing some of the engines running? I would like to see this set in use
When you finish the newer one of course
MikeC2003, sorry but I can't I didn't film it much except for the "Fire Engine" when I tried recreating from Christopher Awdry's books, see in my videos for this channel
You Truly are an inspiration
Steaming Studios, thank you for the kind words, I really appreciate it :)
like the video very much .Hope there more to come .
In the new layout, yes there will be more to come
I love it! Especially the Knapford section :)
Your layout looks great and come on a long way.
Fantastic layout my friend and brilliant seeing the changes as the layout develops. All the best, Paul
Many thanks
Looks amazing
Ah, it wouldn't be a video from the era without having the themes with background SFX made from spliced episodes due to music recreations not existing at the time.
Dis Lay-out older than me!
Ooo very nice
Amazing
Sure as hell better then dration manors
Your layout is really nice how much have you worked on it? Great attention to detail, your layout is really big I wish I had so much space for mine
Lorenzo Gonzalez salas, thanks for the kind words, I worked on all of it myself, the space I have is not really big at all, may seem big in the video, but not really, I wish I had about the space TerencetheTractor525 has for his layout, because I wanted to add other areas, such as Ffarquhar Station, Wellsworth station, Harold's airfield, Maron station, and Hackenbeck tunnel, but I couldn't so I had to make do with the space I had, anyways I'm glad you like this video of my first layout, but I'm making a new one right now, better than before
This layout is as old as me
This layout looks great. Can we get some videos and updates on it. Would love to see trains running on it.
Not on this layout in the video - it got taken down in 2014, but maybe on the new layout that I’m currently working on when I can (as shown in the unfinished tour videos)
My problem is I use Bachmann EZ track not the Atlas so it doesn't look real enough for Thomas and it's very bulky
0:18 do you remember what happened to James' tender there?
The tender cover was laying around somewhere on the old layout, at that time I was looking at the motor in the tender - trying to make James run, because the motor was running but it wouldn’t move forward or backwards
what ever happened to the hornby trains
Oh I still have them, stored in a box somewhere
Why did you replace all the hornby with bachmann?
PunMaster Because the Bachmann models were more detailed and to the correct lengths and size to the ones from the model TV series, plus they had the moving eyes features
What kind of track you using my guy?
In my old layout it was all hornby track, on my new layout I’m still mostly using hornby track, but some bits of peco tracks and points are being used
@@TimeLord91011 oh cool, I’m just starting modeling and I’m debating what track tonuse
Any brand ho/oo gauge track should work for any ho/oo gauge engines either Bachmann, Hornby, or Peco etc.
@@TimeLord91011 all right cool, thanks man.
