My 2012 CRV consumes about half a quart of oil every 3,000 miles (or 5,000 km). You think that’s excessive consumption for this generation of CRVs?
Great content!
Another oil burner for ya Bud..
Would inspecting the plugs for fouling tell you if you’re burning oil?
O Boi the 2011 and now a 14. 😀
I have the '12 of the same car. How much does Honda charge for an oil consumption test?
Mine burns almost half a quart within 1000 bud.
How are those 10k oil changes working for ya bud 👍
It was actually done like 6k miles ago when I looked at the history. Sticker must've not put on or it was removed. We recommend every 5k
Yeah I caught that in vid , I'm talking about the buds that think they are saving the world with 10k intervals . 👍 Enjoy your channel . @@TEVIDEOS
Can an oil filter be primed like that on a car with push button start?
Yes it's just a little tricky timing it right. Some older accords and crvs I wanna say around 2014-2015 really like to clatter the VTC for a second or two in first start up after an oil change, I really only do this to those to try and prevent that. It's not the end of the world if it clatters like that for a second or 2 but it will wear it out over time a wee bit. Older Honda VTC actuators are a very common issue. It wears out over time from maintenance neglect or leaving the vehicle sitting too long. Oil leaks out of the mechanism and it takes a while for oil to pump back into it so it slaps back and forth until it has proper pressure.
@@TEVIDEOS Thanks. I have a 24 civic LX hatch with the K20c2. Should I prime the filter or not worry about it?
Puts squid ink to shame. 😂
Shame about modern Honda. Still love my 2015 and I'd take it to you for my 100k mile change if I lived near you bud.
