I saw this film in the early 1960's when I was an engineering student in the UK and decided I must go to see Africa. By a stroke of good luck I was posted to Kenya in 1973 supervising the construction of a highway. It was one big holiday with weekend safaris to the game parks and annual holiday in the Mombasa coast !

this a great movie,does anyone notice how many times everyone smokes in this film,?It looks like just about in every scene,they just lite up one after the other pack after pack...good Christ almighty!!!!!!!!!!
Amazing the amount of crap Pockets pulls out of his pockets. More than any four kids I know, or grown men for that matter! Almost expect a 12" sub sandwich to be pulled out next.

I have watched this movie for the last 4 decades and the "Sit down shut up Kurt" look is about the only thing I remember from this scene.

この映画のエエとこは誰一人悪人が出てこないところ！そしてあの大自然で今では絶対撮れないシーン(問題有り過ぎて…笑)がいっぱいの迫力と楽しい人間模様有り、ロマンス有りの大好きな映画。ヘンリーマンシーニの仔象の行進の音楽。又、その仔象がかわいいコト！この映画に憧れてケニアに二回行きました。今度はロケ地のタンザニアに行くぞ！…(笑)
