I've been listening to this since it came out and honestly this is one of the best albums I've heard in years. It's the intersection where huge ambition and tons of talent meet. Very very good all the way through. Great job Post Animal! I think this is also one of Polyvinyl's highlight albums.
Tempered progressive rock. Just unexpected enough to keep things interesting, but still very palatable. I like the influence from Neil Peart in the fact that the drums "sing along". Everything is in service of the melody. Fine as it should be for song-form music.

I think the second part is really experimental, trippy and sometimes dark, I get what you're saying but don't think it sucks I remember having kind of a bad trip on damaged goods tho, that song kinda fried my Brain lmao
