- Hey Guys Longg time no see!
This video is a remake of the popular League of legends video KDA . My goal was to push SFM's limits to its core and see if I can somewhat remake this amazing video. I've tried my best to recreate it, through making props,costumes, lighting, animation movements and even cinematography.
But Im back with another video, this project was a year in the making. I started this around january in 2019.
Sorry I haven't poster a lot, its been a bit hard but I can explain why. The reason being.
1. All animation is done by me. ( No cycles were used from other people) I made my own cycles for the animation. Dance cycle, strut cycle.
2. I had to learn some stuff about blender ( Made the Ahri tail ) This was done with help from a friend
3.Costumes were made by someone else and took a little while to do.
4.I had to do some techniques no one has ever done in sfm, so it took awhile to figure out how to do what I wanted to do.
5. Animation University took over as I put that ahead of my UA-cam channel .
6.I have more of a standard for my content ( Im a perfectionist or try my best to be with my videos)
So again Im sorry it took such a long time.
Some stuff I couldn't obviously do, like the Anamorphic lense and the dragon on the train as sfm dosen't support the anamorphic lense effect ( unless I wanted to stitch footage and that is painful) The train Uv mapping was layerd on ONE TEXTURE...So that was a no go, even decompile and recompiling the Uv's were so messy I knew that would take a couple of months for me to fix. So I made the decision to scrap that part.

Overused joke aside, i really love how well this was all put together! It just works so well! We've become "spoiled rotten" to the amount of high quality sfm content you've been putting out and you're still going at it too! :D

The character models look amazing, the outfits you created for them were very good. The segment where Rainbow does the rap was probably the best part, you did an excellent job capturing the mouth movements on her mask, and Rarity was looking pretty good in that scene too. The crystal... tails? Around Sunset could use some work. And the dance animation being mostly them hopping from one foot to another is a bit odd in how lacking in movement it is. But otherwise this is a very lovely recreation and you did a great job.
Yeah the tails was my first time modeling. Sorry about that. The dance I can say for a fact was the hardest part of the whole animation.
Just having them dance in a 3d space is so hard. Mainly because I can't really break the characters like in 2d. But ty for the feedback its much appreciated! ^^

A fuckin' rock solid animation my guy! A real step up in the quality. The motion is rock solid and works smoothly throughout and the style works really
well throughout. Only issue I noticed is the sudden letterboxing and loss of it but it's really minor given the quality of the video.

The amount of work that must have been put into this is utterly insurmountable. Brilliant animation, as you said, SFM pushed to it's absolute limit!

The dance moves not only match the beat, but look possible. You (the animator) really thought "quadruped" a LOT better than I could.
Also, Rainbow as a graffiti artist, and Rarity as a car.... Designer? Idk what that profession is called. They look great.

From my point of view I give you some advice:
- This version is very good
- Twilight has double wings (I would have liked more if I only had the character's)
- Rainbow lacked the cap and 2:17 if you put the sprays on her it would have been better,
- Sutset looks good (I died of tenderness) if you had placed Fluttershy it would be 🥰❤

Ooohhh that would solve the pony dancing problem. The only thing I found wrong in my opinion in this is the ponies don't dance much, just stomp because it's really hard to have good dance moves on all fours.

I'm usuly not a fan of this type of music, but this is just going through my head. I like the source material, and the SFM version looks really good. Being a massive Twilight fan, I love the books floating around her. The Sunset Shimmer visuals are really nice. Rainbow Dash is 20% cooler in her role, and it's always nice to see Rarity. Good job all around!
