    Watched your video and did some practice with my family before I had my panel interview. Got the call and now have been conditionally hired and have to finish up with medical evaluation, psychology exam, and chiefs meeting. This video was awesome and really helped me out. No question about it I think it really comes down to being prepared before you go into the interview. Without preparing I would of done horrendous

    I took the BAT test in early June. I was told after I had finished that I failed the Graph Literacy exam with a 65 out of 90 and that I would have to retake. I studied for a week and a half, went back and took the test and when I had finished, the lady at the desk told me there had been a computer malfunction and I had actually passed it the first time with an 85. Hey Bro ! Thanks for the informative video ! You touched on several key points that I was really worried about in my upcoming Oral Board interview. My question to you is, how long do most Oral boards take and are there any other questions I should be concerned about ?

    • @jamrockpd
      @jamrockpd 3 місяці тому

      Any where from 35 minutes to an hour depending on how many people are on the panel. I think the questions I covered are the most common question according to several references and feedback from multiple candidates. You’ll may have some random scenarios like “what would you do” type of questions but those are easy, as long as you’re thinking with ethics and morals you will have solid answers.

      Hello Alivin! Best of luck to you as well brother, I’m sure you’re going to do great. It’s really all about consistency and training. The oldest person in my Academy Class is a 43 year old woman and she’s incredible. You can do this man 💪🏾 just don’t be so stuck in your way that it’s hard to teach you or coach you. I’ve seen it where older recruits seem to have “their way” of doing things and only their way. It can’t be like that if you want to be successful. Good luck man! Keep me updated 👍🏾

    • @jamrockpd
      @jamrockpd 3 роки тому

      The very first thing that you should do is schedule to take the CJBAT test and Physical Agility’s test Once you’ve passed those exams you’ll now be able to enroll yourself into the police academy. You will be go through some internal enrollment processes which should include a psychological evaluation exam and a polygraph test to be eligible to start! Then after you’ve satisfied all of the requirements you’ll be well on your way to starting the academy and just 6 months out from your new career as a police officer 👮‍♀️ Good luck with the everything!!

    what if you only went to college for only a short period of time and didn’t finish. should you still put your time in college?

    • @jamrockpd
      @jamrockpd 3 роки тому +1

      Hey that’s okay as far as the application part goes. Most police departments only require a minimum of a high school diploma or to have some college experience. If you have some credits from college and didn’t get to finish that’s still awesome because you’re already ahead of the competition 👌🏾 when you get to the interview just be able to explain why you didn’t finish and you’ll be good to go. Good luck!! 👍🏾

      Hey Carlos the Civilian Test is a pre-selection test. Usually done after being your application have been selected. Only some departments do it. Not all, in fact most agencies are going away with it because it’s redundant.

      Usually, you can tell based on the expressions of the panel that you did well or not.Then most of the time they’ll tell you that same day by phone call that they’ll like to move forward with you or it could be a day or two. My experience has always been a quick turn-around when it comes to their decision.
