Spearfishing Cortez Banks California

A day of diving at the remote Cortez Banks, approximately 110 miles off the California coast. On this same trip, we also dove the Channel Islands of Santa Barbara and Santa Cruz. I took a 25lb yellowtail, 33" California halibut, 2 barracuda, a bonito and a kelp bass. Many black seabass were sighted in the 150lb range. You can also see a school of bluefin tuna in the 30lb range at • Spearfishing Cortez Ba... . I took a shot but didn't land. Shout out to Peace Boat for the amazing dive trip, and also the fantastic food on board.
