    Nothing says good morning like having 150 metric tonnes slowly rolling towards you.

    Love the trust between the ramp agent and the pilots. As soon as that beacon is extinguished, the agent heads right to the engine to start putting down cones. I'm sure he's done it 100s of times and knows what to look/listen for, but it's still a cool way to communicate with just a flashing red light.

    What's the purpose of putting cones in front of the engines? The end of the wings I can understand

    • @ramperryan
      @ramperryan  Рік тому +1

      Its mainly there as a warning. But i get your point.

    • @autisticlogistics3713
      @autisticlogistics3713 Рік тому +2

      Critical danger zone. Its more less to let other people know not to drive vehicles or stand where the cones are.

      Service vehicles and baggage handling equipment. That's the reason. Even a slight bump from a bag bin or K loader and that planes not flying again until the inlet cowl (ring) is inspected. visual inspection backed up with mag particle or dye penetrant inspection if any damage is noted. In short cones are cheap insurance.

    Is there a reason you guys use such tiny chocks for the main gear?

  • @AG-636

    Do you feel the heat of the back off the engine when putting cones out, and does the baggage truck have heating inside it cheers.

    • @ramperryan
      @ramperryan  Рік тому +3

      No the core is a lot higher up so i just get blown with cold bypass air. The heat rises so i would only feel it if i was behind it when running. Which i should never be when it is
