Great tutorial! When I render a frame to picture viewer it only shows the objects with a black background. How do I get the frame of the footage to render also with the objects?
I have a more in depth tutorial that addresses this some. But it really can depend on several factors. You do bring up a good point I forgot to address in the video and that is motion blur and shutter speed. For tracking shots like the one in my video I tend to use very high shutter speed which will decrease or eliminate motion blur. I used 1/2000 for the video. Making each frame very crisp which allows for a good track. Certain scenarios don't allow for high shutter speed and in those cases you must be conscious about the amount of motion blur that you will get. motion blur will effect tracking results and may require more manual tracking. Motion blur can be added back into the scene with fx such as force pixel blur or other effects. Commonly for a film look you use double the shutter speed of your framerate, which does create motion blur. But some cases you can get away with sharper images and add it back in after. Less motion blur in the original footage will allow auto tracking to preform better, but it is not always the necessary or an option.
Yes. With Redshift u add a redshift object tag to your floor. Then under the matte tab enable that and shadows. Other renderers often use a Shadow Matte Material, look for matte options within the renderer you are using,. Thanks :) You could also camera map the floor plane. Effect-A-Tron, so sorry for the late replying, so I did it up to the step where you selected a point in the distance, and then you selected points to create the plane. What I’m confused about is.... I can’t move the plane at all, nor do I know how to hide the plane behind the video so that I can add a new object on top, for example, I’m trying to make a phone with hearts popping out of it, but I’m not sure how to place the object in and have it blend as you did with the car. And there isn’t as many tutorials for the r20.
@@melinoe6987 no worries. I have been playing around a lot with the motion tracking since this tutorial. You don't have to use point constraint first always. I'm assuming you are making ur plane from the create planar constraint? If you need to create more objects you can create them and copy and paste the constraint planes coords into the new object. As far as hiding it goes I suggest switching your display view to lines, this will wireframe the objects so you can see through them. Also in the attributes tab of your object there is an X-Ray button this enabled will make ur objects transparent in the Viewport :) I plan on doing more in depth tutorials on tracking soon. Thank you. Let me know if that helps? The scene you are trying to create may involve object racker which i am still experimenting with, it's a bit tricky.

Yes! U can tell the batmobile starts off partially frame. It would work in this track even if it started off frame as long as at some point your 3D asset comes into the frame and you have a good 3D solve camera :) Normally a good track can even go in and out of frame and that's what I love about it.
Nice job/very profesional/
Where is the final result? it was on your channel, did you delete it?
The final result is at 2:05 in the video :)
Hey, brother. I am a book creator. I think we can co-publish some tutorials and publish them in China. What do you think?
Sure send me a link to some of your work :)
@@effectatron Ok, we can contact SKYPE, my SKYPE account is shejizhimen@outlook.com, you can invite me. In addition, if you will use Tencent QQ, you can add friend 312113039. Finally, I will give a common email: shejizhimen@163.com
How do i render it with octane? i can render objects but the image wont show up.
I don't know, I haven't used Octane. I use Redshift.
for learn tracking camera, it's more simple here on C4d or on A.E ..?
It depends on what effects you want to do. They both have their strengths and their weaknesses. C4D has more raw power and capabilities. But AE is much cheaper and easier to use. It really depends on what you are tracking for. :)
@@effectatron ok thank you, I'm just amateur, for the sake of doing and understand ... I will stay on A.E, because I saw that it is possible on C4d but hey, we will say c4d is for modeling.
@@vtertezedre2621 They both can be used. It's whatever you want to learn and what tools fits your goal the best. 2D graphics and HUDS etc, I'd use AE. Implementing 3d objects or worlds into your scene, C4D for sure. But Video Copilots element 3d and stuff like Red Giants trapcode particular make AE a powerful VFX tool with tracking as well so you can't go wrong either way :)
I've done a lot of this lately and After Effects Mocha is a lot more reliable and less buggy than the C4D tools.
does this work if my track is out of frame?
Yes! U can tell the batmobile starts off partially frame. It would work in this track even if it started off frame as long as at some point your 3D asset comes into the frame and you have a good 3D solve camera :) Normally a good track can even go in and out of frame and that's what I love about it. Good question.
Effect-A-Tron awesome! Thank you 🙏🏼
export settings?!
That really depends on the project. But I have some good general render settings for a fast clean render in my skillshare course here -skl.sh/39nQsXT also some of my other tutorials on youtube have some settings but I cover it in depth more in my skillshare course.
Yo why do my plane go haywire? It doesnt align with the floor i want?
sounds like an issue with the track points used to create the plane. make sure they are all good stable tracks. :)
Does anyone know why my footage doesn't show when I upload it to Cinema? It doesn't show and nothing changes. I have done it before but now it doesn't want to work. Any ideas?
You can load in a jpeg sequence or an mp4. Are you using one of those formats?
@@effectatron I used a PNG sequence which is what I used before. After doing a lot of research, I found out that resetting the preferences fixed the issue.
mine just got thermal shutdown
plz solve this problem when i add 3d object ..like cube circle ..its cover full display ..sorry for bad english
Sounds like your scale is off. You can rescale your project or scale down your 3d objects :)
@@effectatron thnks for reply sir
Puedo ver que el auto se esta moviendo.
How about lights and shadows?
Redshift. I intend to do a compositing tutorial soon for youtube. I am currently working on a Redshift Course for Skillshare :)
Effect-A-Tron thank you!
I need Help! How do i render it´?
You can learn how here: effectatron.thinkific.com/courses/C4DMotionTracking
or Skillshare - skl.sh/3iujXgb
@@effectatron Bro i wont pay 20$ Just to know how to Render that Video.
Sorry, it is not just how to render, it is an in depth course on motion tracking. But you also will learn how to render it with physical and Redshift.
why when adding tracking, rotate the approximation movement?
Sorry, I'm not sure I understand what you are asking. :(
make editable
Is this feature avilable in R19?
I'm afraid not.
how i to reneder object with video ???
There are multiple ways. It depends on your set up and renderer. I use Redshift and camera mapped it to the plane and then used a backplate image sequence settings in my dome light :) or you could just export out your scene with alpha and comp it back in over your footage in post. I will do more in depth tutorials in the future. Thanks you for watching!
but how do you make the shadow?
I show how to do this with both physical tenderer and redshift in my in depth motion tracking tutorial :)
Effect-A-Tron Okay thank you!
Why cant i create a position constraint
I'm not sure without seeing your scene. If the camera is solved then you should be able to :) I cover them more in depth in my new tutorial - ua-cam.com/video/Idsiy-ugfdg/v-deo.html
@@effectatron Thank you i got it working
@@trench279 how? I got the same problem.
@@ZydiczIn1080pHD Oh i can't remember, It's possible though. Just play around with the settings!
This is a very frequent problem. Tracking in C4D is a nightmare. You have to rely on luck to get things to work reliably.
but how to track object?you create plane, okay.
Object Tracking uses the Object Tracker feature. It is a slightly different workflow. But the short version is you need to create at least 9 custom points on your object to track in order to use the object tracker in C4D
