Hello, did you not specifically buy the 1027 BE model? I had a Chorus 826V and I sold it. I didn't know whether to buy the Aria 926V or the Electra 1027 or 1027 BE model. What would be your opinion?
Hi, how are you? Thanks for the question. The two biggest problems with HI-FI products here in my country are the lack of access to diversity (few brands and models available) and their exorbitant prices, due to the enormous tax burden. All of our governments have always been extremely corrupt and thieves, so it is almost impossible to have high-quality products if you are not a millionaire. One of the reasons I chose the "S" instead of the "BE" is that when I bought this FOCAL, there was only the "S" available. Today, after 3 years, I learned that there is only one pair of "1028 BE" for sale for US$9,000 in a neighboring country, and our money is 6 x 1, worth 6 times less than the dollar. So you can already get an idea of the complexity of the second problem. The CHORUS is an entry-level speaker, the ARIA is much better, with more technology and quality, but the ELECTRA, both the "S" and the "BE", despite being discontinued, have as speaker material the "W" CONE SANDWICH TECHNOLOGY and "Y" STRUCTURE FRONT BUFLE, used only in the "SOPRA and UTOPIA" models, in addition to the wood being much more reinforced and consistent than these two models you mentioned, allowing higher volumes and sound pressure without resonance. Between the "ARIA 926V" and the "ELECTRA 1027 BE", I would choose the ELECTRA, especially if you have a good amplifier!
Wow!!! That sounds fabulous.
