Hi. I have a Miele G4210. I move my dishwasher from another house and kept it in the garage for a year and decided to install it now in the conservatory as the house we are renting does not have space for one. I used to get this code F12 at the end of a cycle which was last year.
Now it does this: and the Status LED flashes. The water inlet valve will be activated at 10-second intervals for one hour. The drain pump will also be activated at intervals to prevent the possibility of the appliance overflowing. All other components remain inactive.

We have had issues with small particles of food clogging this valve since the dishwasher was new, 2013. I think there is a design defect. I pull the valve out at least once a month to clean it when it clogs and gives us an F11 code. My question: how do I know when my valve is "knackered"? Rubber looks intact, the ball looks smooth.

It's how we roll round here in Cork, Ireland! ☘We haven't had the issue you mention but the part wasn't that expensive so it could be worth buying it, replacing it and seeing if it makes a difference. Best case, it does; worst case, you have a spare to hand if it ever does fail. Good luck with it. Miele is a top brand.
I am have the draining issue. I found a small piece of glass in the non return valve. I cleaned it out and replaced it. The dishwasher worked. But, now it seems I have to repeat the procedure every time i run the wahser. I suspect its the valve itself. It looks fine but it is what it is.
