Very interesting design. That wood you were splitting was pretty tough looking stuff. The only thing I wouldn't personally like is having to always use two hands to operate the wedge and not having a pair of arms or something to push wood off the wedge that gets stuck and tries to ride back up. Thanks! The vertical design gives good view on the splitting and provides an ergonomic working height. Most wood can be split easily with the add-on wide wedge that never got stuck. But the ones that I had lying around were the difficult ones, that also tend to stick to the knife. It also shows my inexperience with this system because I later found out how this could be handled easily.

I have same one but on 230v
I have welded a piece that goes over it to have a cross to split in 4 pieces
It really speeds up the work
