As some others have pointed out, the Palm Pre is the first smartphone with wireless charging as a possibility. The technicalities about it requiring a separate back don't eliminate it from the question and the charging ability was included later anyway. The question has to be very specific for it to be the Nokia 920.
The Palm Pre 2 had the feature built in without needing to replace the back cover like the first one. It launched a year ahead of the 920 so I think the answer was wrong no matter what.
Thanks to Andrew for bringing this point to light, but just some specifics (L x W measurements in mm): 131.5 x 64.2 - iPhone 13 mini 146.5 x 68.1 - ZenFone 9 & 10 146.7 x 71.5 - iPhone 14 But now the interesting part… the ZenFone is thicker than iPhone, so its total volume is actually 10.97-14.63% (for the zf9-zf10) BIGGER than the iPhone 14 (not a mini). Even the iPhone 14 Pro is a significantly smaller phone than either ZenFone by volume. Still like it though, I’m just very sad a true mini form factor is dead, and I probably would’ve switched to ZF if it was actually iPhone mini sized, but I’m sticking with my 13 mini

The clause of them deleting your IG if you delete your Threads account is like a hostage situation....and the insane privacy policy. Like making a deal with the devil...and holding a sign "hey please spy on me 24/7". It makes Facebook and Instagram look like privacy advocates.
I have this issue with Threats in the perspective of an artist. If you’re part of the artist community, you will know that the algorithm is just straight out crap where it pushes only reels, even a single image reel, more than their posts themselves, and that the posts have a really hard time reaching your own audience, where sometimes it will be less than 10% of your followers that even see it, much less interact with it, which is natural. Plus, the feed isn’t natural, it’s based on this algorithm, and you can’t change that like in Twitter. Also the censorship in Instagram was much worse than in Twitter and UA-cam, and that’s already a low standard. It was such a great platform before the zucchini bought it and it has just gotten worse and worse since 2020. Let’s say Threats is great right now. Who says it won’t just turn into Instagram 2.0?!
The answer to the first question is wrong. The Palm Pre supported wireless charging back in 2009. It was one of the big selling points of the Palm Pre.

The problem with calling the zen phone a small phone is it’s barely smaller than the iPhone 14 pro. Maybe on the android size it’s considered small but it’s still inaccurate to call it a “small” phone.
If the overwhelming majority of phones made these days are more than 6 inches, then a phone that’s under 6 inches is a small phone. It’s half an inch below the average size for 2022, which doesn’t sound like much but that’s most of the difference between Apple’s “normal” and “pro max” sized displays. I find it funny how everyone cared so much about privacy, but as soon as they had to give it up to hate on what was popular to hate on (Twitter), they just sold their privacy back to Meta without hesitation. Really goes to show that most of what everyone does on social media is nothing more than trying to do what's popular rather than to actually do what's right.
Just because something is widely hated, doesn’t mean it’s suddenly hated because it’s hated. Elon’s mishandling of Twitter quickly grew into a staggeringly long list. From his public harassment of his own employees to his sharing of flagrantly transphobic and homophobic content - it’s become clear to anyone paying attention that Twitter is a wildly toxic place. Thread’s popularity is a testament to just how shitty of a person Elon is. He managed to outshit Zuckerberg. That took dedication.
@@gfyGoogle I can see that, honestly! I have seen the complaints about Twitter. Although, I just do find it weird that suddenly privacy doesn't matter anymore just to "stick it" to one guy. Basically, sacrificing a human right and enslaving your data to Meta which has been the exact opposite of what people have wanted in the past few years. I just don't see how undoing all that work to get people away from Meta can be helpful overall regardless of the reason. 14:55 imo, youtube should show ads based on overall watch time, not strictly on a per video basis. Like, for every 10 minutes of watch time you get served 1 minute of ads or something like that. To prevent the whole 1 minute of ads on a 2 minute video situation

The smallest Android "flagship" phone is the S23 (I say it that way because the S23 is not the flagship in Samsung's range, but it has great specs anyway, if not the storage and RAM vs. the Zenfone). I happen to prefer the UI approach of Asus and the and battery life of the Zenfone, so went for the 10, otherwise not much in it. I'm surprised two of you didn't remember about Zenfone 9 being third. Zenfone ranked high in 2021 as well. Also, there is no mention of its ranking in MKBHD's review of the phone. It's totally underrated.
I loved the ZenFone 9, and I adored this ZenFone 10. I think yes, it is an all rounder compact flagship King 👑 Happy this time they added wireless charging, a more efficient battery life due to a more efficient chipset, the top notch SD 8Gen2, so cool 😎 And yay they got the 512 GB storage on the 16 GB Ram, owesome specs providing top tear seamless performance! With the Gimbal v.2, I would feel like a pro shooting a video footage while moving around! Happy with the side selfie camera punch, in my opinion a better position for watching a full screen video. I see it as more practical than just having the symmetrical look of a centered selfie camera punch. I am also a big fan of the practical flat display! Doesn't matter the LPTO 2, as logically it might consume more battery for constantly switching back and forth between the different frequencies Hz. The overall compact size is a breaze nowadays! And the headphone jack, it's ever appreciated 😊 You get the charger, and the USB-C to USB-C in the box. You also get a protective case. What I can say about UA-cam ads: I watch something I really want to watch that is 4 hours long, I get about 3 or 4 ads. I watch a series of 5 to 10 minute videos, I get 3 to 4 ads... PER VIDEO. I'm not sure if creators can pay to minimize ads or something like that, but at the rate of ads I get for the latter scenario? I don't want to reconsider going to a paid subscription. I just want to ragequit UA-cam. Surely that can't be the reaction they are going for. I was on the fence before, and now I feel pushed to pay for an experience I would like at a rate I don't have to pay for anything else.
Palm was my gut reaction to that question. But was it Qi charging? I think they mean Qi with wireless.
@@ProfWereW I get what you’re saying, but they didn’t specify that in the question.
Thanks to Andrew for bringing this point to light, but just some specifics (L x W measurements in mm):
131.5 x 64.2 - iPhone 13 mini
146.5 x 68.1 - ZenFone 9 & 10
146.7 x 71.5 - iPhone 14
But now the interesting part… the ZenFone is thicker than iPhone, so its total volume is actually 10.97-14.63% (for the zf9-zf10) BIGGER than the iPhone 14 (not a mini).
The iPhone 13 Mini (131.5 x 64.2) is also significantly smaller than the current iPhone SE (138.4 x 67.3).
True. I’m hoping in a year or 2 Apple resurrects the mini as an SE 3
I have a mini and I think this will last me 3 more years so I wouldn’t jump to upgrading it anyway right now just hope that somehow apple releases a new mini in 2 years
I'm surprised you didn't mention that Threads will have ActivityPub support after launch, for those out of the loop that means it will be cross compatible with Mastodon as well as Tumblr when they also implement it.
I stopped expecting facts from Waveform like a year ago
It didn't come with it out of the box though.
@@Call_Me_David what do you mean? The wireless charging back was included with the phone? Yeah the wireless charger was sold separately but that’s always been the case?
@@zaclaramay When I bought it, it didn't come with the wireless charging back. You had to buy a kit that had the replacement back and the charging base.

The problem with the threads “people” is it’s largely an audience that use ig and not twitter. Therefore it’s people using it like ig stories or posts.
The use case by its audience is still a little misunderstood

The problem with calling the zen phone a small phone is it’s barely smaller than the iPhone 14 pro. Maybe on the android size it’s considered small but it’s still inaccurate to call it a “small” phone.
If the overwhelming majority of phones made these days are more than 6 inches, then a phone that’s under 6 inches is a small phone. It’s half an inch below the average size for 2022, which doesn’t sound like much but that’s most of the difference between Apple’s “normal” and “pro max” sized displays. Half an inch is a lot of difference when you’re working with handheld displays.
its around 3.5mm less wide which is about the difference between you're iPhone and an s21 ultra which is quite a big phone not just in height.

on the zenfone 10, I'd like to refute the common claim that small phones are good for people who want to use their phone less, the reason that I like a smaller phone is because I use my phone *so much*, I need one that's not awkward to hold when out and about and doesn't look to conspicuous when I'm on it constantly

Ok
Yep war against the freedom hating Elon requires some sacrifices.

The smallest Android "flagship" phone is the S23 (I say it that way because the S23 is not the flagship in Samsung's range, but it has great specs anyway, if not the storage and RAM vs. the Zenfone).
