Frankly, when you lose 2 games in a row after going up 3-0, Spoelstra has to adapt so that it doesnt just all focus on Butler either making the shots or the team loses. Because it was evident that Butler had been struggling when Celtics adapted in game 4 and it's a historical fact that Butler has serious ups and downs in the play offs. @@KingOfPopStars this is not the exact statement but Smart said in the post interview that the ball should be passed in Tatum's or Brown's hands. And props to the Heat for sealing those 2 studs locked up but Smart had a memory of the Sixers series they had the same play that ended up wasting the shot clock. So in this play the plan B is whoever receives the inbound pass SHOULD QUICKLY HEAVE the ball into the basket and immediately run to the hoop for chance of TIP IN the missed/bounced shot.

      @@duplexarco in your plan b, is heaving the shot or driving in for a layup (and hopeful foul) better? i get the 3 if you're down 3, maybe even 2, but 1 point doesn't really make sense to me.

    • @duplexarco
      @duplexarco Рік тому +1

      @@KingOfPopStars regardless of being down 1 or 2 or 3, the available ball receiver MUST take the shot in that moment because that is what the defense gave and I said props to the HEAT denying that by sealing Jayson and Jaylen.
      Celtics are so lucky, not only for that putback but they had "Smart" players with that exceptional awareness and experience to execute that plan.
      You saw 3 Celtics players are already rushing forward the basket the moment Smart released that shot. Tatum and White covered both side of the hoop so the moment the ball bounce either side, Celtics are ready to tip in that bounce.
      If the Celtics win the series or the Finals, expected that this play will be unearth in detailed form of how this plan executed perfectly like the Celtics want. Wanna bet?

    Speaking as someone who isn't a fan of either team, the refs tried their hardest to give this game to the heat. The 4 or so straight fouls before the half was insane. Trying to give them the game on that pretend shot at the end too... what a way to lose if you lose to that.

      @@brucej.willson4764 Yeah, it was getting real bad and similar stuff wasn't being called for boston. I think if Boston watches this game they will completely see they didn't lose it or get out played, they were called out by refs on everything.

    • @MRGilD0
      @MRGilD0 Рік тому +2

      Real sick of this 2.1 seconds talk so I'm gonna explain. Look at Horford's hand, its motion towards Butler's body, and Jimmy's skewed upward motion into an awkward shot afterwards. The hand on the back is the foul since it's considered a push and it made contact at 3.0 seconds. The reason why no one is talking about it is simply cause there is nothing controversial with the decision to put the clock at 3.0 seconds.
