    4. How do we “make sure of all things”? (1 Thessalonians 5:21)
Many in the congregations today doubt not their faith in Jehovah, but some of the teachings persistently promoted by the Governing Body and the question is, have they found the right "faithful servant"? What should we do in this case? Use the same principle from 1 Thess.5:21 + add Acts 17:11
"These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, *whether those things were so.?".* (Acts. 17:11 KJV)
Doubts are the norm for a thinking person if the necessary information is missing.
Only the foolish take the word of Adam's imperfect and sinful descendants, no matter who they are or what they call themselves (Proverbs 14:15).
Even the instructions of the pastors should be checked according to the Bible.
There are no other grounds for being convinced of the correctness of something and trusting someone (Ephes.5:10; De.17:11 - these principles were still working in the mid-90s and were encouraged, and at that time no one was excluded from congregations for inconvenient questions, but helped to clarify these issues).
That is, *don't trust anyone or anything like God - check everything* that confuses you. Remember, thinking is useful!
And Jehovah does not like the blind faith of fanatics (unfortunately, today God's people are afflicted with this disease and this is encouraged by the Governing Body).
For example, Thomas doubted the apostles' words about the resurrection of Christ, *and Jesus did not consider these doubts a sin.*
Note that Thomas did not doubt Jehovah. He just needed more powerful arguments * than just the words of the apostles,* and Jesus provided them (John 20:24,25).
Another example: many in the congregations today are wondering about the correctness of the doctrine of 1914.
*And if Jehovah Himself had told us* that Jesus was installed as King in 1914 or that what is happening in the assemblies today should not bother us, our doubts would have disappeared.
But to find out this question today, alas, Publications alone, as the authors advise in paragraph 5, and meetings of congregation are clearly not enough. Here *it is necessary to conduct independent and thorough research* The words of God.
But, alas, independent study of Scripture has been strictly prohibited in our Organization *since September 2007.* From now on, we do not study Publications with the help of the Bible, but study the Bible from Publications (see "Kingdom Ministry" September 2007, "Question Box")
But at the 2017 Convention, Governing Body in the video dedicated to the events of 1975, itself "gave a hint" and contradicted its instructions:
the brother in the video questioned the Organization's teaching about 1975 and conducted an independent and independent study of the Bible, *which helped him not to be disappointed in Jehovah,* when another prophecy of the Organization was not fulfilled (in the video the situation is presented one-sidedly and dishonestly: they say that this was not the teaching of the Organization, but the believers themselves misunderstood everything - but the meaning does not change and the fact remains).
So, after conducting an independent study, we can make sure that *the prophecy from Dan.4:7-13 was FULLY fulfilled* on the king of Babylon, Nebuchadnezzar (see Dan.4:21)
Moreover, *the pagan king of Babylon CANNOT be a prototype for the kings of Jehovah* and the kingdom of Christ (the reign of Jehovah reflects only the holy Jerusalem and the kings who sit on the throne of David).
Also, the teaching of 1914 *violates the order of the events of Revelation.* According to the teachings of the GB: Jesus was installed as King in 1914, the murder of the Last two Prophets in 1918, the resurrection in 1919, and there is NO clear answer at all about the ascension of the Last two Prophets to heaven (according to Revelation, there is first murder, then resurrection and ascension, and then the enthronement of Christ - Rev. 11:7,8,11,12,14,15). And this is only, some arguments that CANNOT BE BROKEN DOWN by Scripture!
And, here's what to do when we find out that some kind of teaching of the Governing Body does the advice not correspond to the Scriptures? - this is a separate topic... .
