When in a group with people I don’t know so well, it’s comforting to have a friend who’s looking out for me. That seems to be the case with these two, they often seem relieved and happy when they see each other and stay physically close to one another. I think that some of the “jealous moments” are really just “it would’ve been nice if us two friends were partnered, especially in a game where we’ll be touched, because then we both will have a good time and be more relaxed”.
I think they also like each other’s company because they can make the show better. For example in the first clip when Yuqi hits Lucas with the toy, she does it much harder than the others because they both understand she isn’t trying to disrespect or hurt him. If someone else did it, it might have made him uncomfortable, and his reaction would’ve made the viewer and other cast members uncomfortable too. Instead he finds it funny and so the viewer and cast members laugh. It’s the same when they’re in a car together or partnered in a game because have better teamwork (or alternately butt heads and lightheartedly argue) which the viewers and other cast members like.

Lucas has a younger brother but no sisters. Similarly Yuqi is an only child so she’s never had a brother. So I’m glad they’ve been able to find someone who fills that role they’ve been missing, especially because they’re in a foreign country away from their families.
This makes me miss xuxi even more....

Ngl, i love their interactions but the way this video is subbed is obviously trying to paint them as a couple...idk if it's just me but i don't like it when people assume that someone is "jealous" based on their face only and the timing of the scenario. @@fangirl_studio3172 nothing's been proven about his accusations, so he's not a "bad" guy- if anything, the accusations were proven to be false by fans (photoshopped and lies that fans caught and proved to be false) while sm has just ignored the whole situation like usual and only worsened it by making lucas write an apology letter that doesn't even indicate what he did wrong

@@nanaroha3185 A lot of people started claiming dating and gas lighting rumors with him. Claiming they dated him and he used them (about 3 girls and a guy) for money and other stuff. They provided pictures of "him" and "receipts" to prove he was with them and every picture was proven to be false/manipulated by his fans- thus proving every rumour to be false. Yet SM released an apology letter "written by Lucas" they claimed. The apology letter didn't even say what he was sorry for nor acknowledged the rumours specifically- just that he had hurt some people and he was reflecting on his actions. Because the letter was so vague and followed the usual SM apology guideline, some think that SM made him write it to calm down the hate he was getting from the rumours. Some thought SM was trying to investigate it thoroughly but if they were they should have claimed to do so while protecting their artist. Instead they released this vague apology and canceled all his activities.
Basic summary: he was falsely accused of terrible things he didn't do. Fans proved the rumours to be false. SM canceled his activities and let the rumours grow out of hand like crazy.
