Can you cook with mason jar lids?
While Mason jars can be repurposed all over the house, it turns out the lids are especially handy when it comes to baking: They work perfectly as mini-pastry pans! (Just don't forget to prepare them with the inner plate's metal side facing up.)Nov 2, 2015

Bad idea. The lids are not designed to be heated beyond 212F. Just use tartlet molds.

Id like them to be deeper, as well. They hold such a tiny amount of filling in proportion to the crust.
