On Wednesday, November 20th at 7:00 pm EST Ravi Zacharias gave a 45 minute presentation followed by an audience Q&A with Ravi, Vince Vitale and Nabeel Qureshi.
This short clip comes from the Q&A session. A woman suffering with Multiple sclerosis (MS) asked why her suffering has continued even though she prays to God? Vince Vitale answered her first, followed by Nabeel Qureshi. This video is Nabeel Qureshi's answer only. I've told many people about this answer, but its hard to share the whole event video and then ask someone to skip to the exact place this question was answered, so I decided to post it myself.

What an amazing answer from an awesome man of God who passed away recently from 4th stage stomach cancer. Dr Nabeel will always be remembered by those who have come in contact with him in person or just listening online. His legacy will continue to live on forever in our hearts! His genuine compassion he has for Jesus shows and gives light to a hurt and dying lost world. I get encouraged every time I hear him teaching. We that love Brother Nabeel tip our hats to his wonderful parents who gave to the world!!! What a blessing he is and always will be:) Brother Qureshi is now living in the presence of Jesus and lives on forever and ever and ever!!!!!! AMEN!

Thank u Nabeel for glorifying His name. I was diagnosed with MS in 2003, had left facial paralysis, right facial Paralysis, left leg partially paralyzed, and whole paralysis, both legs totally paralyzed, double vision, vertigo, whole left part of my body paralyzed all this from 2003 -2005. Doctors adviced me not to have kids- but I told them "no, u don't know my God". Now I have 2 kids ages 10 and 7. JESUS IS THE REASON, I AM ALIVE.

I know her pain. I have ms too. And after 22 years of suffering God chose to heal me. But all 22 years He was there in my pain. I changed in all these years and learned to praise God no matter the circumstances. Now I am out of pain, out of my wheelchair and very greatful. But the 22 years of sickness were a blessing too, I can see that now. So lady, try to thank God in all your pain and suffering, He is with you! Jesus died for our sins, He will help you carry your ms.

Nabeel did not claim to have a "PhD." He did, however, have an MD degree, which is much more difficult to obtain. He didn't "get paid" for these appearances, as you suggest, but offered them as a testament to his own salvation through Christ. He was a believing Muslim all this life, until coming to rational realization that Christ was, in fact, the Son of the Living God. Remember, Mohammed is very much a "Johnny come lately," the Christ of the Bible is, and always has been, since the inception of time as we know it. He said that we will share in His suffering. Sometimes we don't understand why we suffer, but we are to draw closer to Him. She asked the Lord to give her His Heart and she went right into suffering. Now she will understand the Lord!
I am a catholic an we believe that suffering is often kind of gift, not a curse. Exactly what you said, our share ih His suffering. It os like purifying gold: in fire. If theres gold in us, when we dont reject Jesus because of suffering, we are on the right path, carrying our own crosses. If thete is no gold in is, fire ( suffering, trials) destroys all and it goes simply to wastes. Easy, broad path is only to hell, have I heard...

“As a student one of the things that absolutely blew my mind, one of the things that we took for granted quite regularly, was how finely hinged life is on the precipice of death. We so take it for granted that we wake up every morning. What say do we have in waking up in the morning? We go to sleep and we wake up, and it happens regularly and so we take it for granted. But there’s nothing we do to make that happen conginizantly.
And we think about, momentarily, the malady that you mentioned, that you have, the multiple sclerosis…
We just act so immediately, so immediately we act. We see things and we point to it and it’s so natural to us, we don’t even think about what’s happening here. That your brain and your nerves function as electrical systems and the capacitors that allow a signal to go from your brain to your finger and for your muscles to work at the very fast rate at with which they do. And those capacitors, if they stop working, thesemyelin sheaths,you get multiple sclerosis.
Just one small part, of a very complex system can cause such devastating effects. And as painful as it is, I think one thing that you have probably learned is just how beautiful it is and how much people take it for granted when this amazingly complex system works the way it ought to. Something we take for granted every single day.
And I know when I pray, early on when I began to pray as a Christian, I was a Muslim formerly. Part of my prayer was five daily prayers, it was very scripted, everything was scripted. The only thing I got to choose in my 5 daily prayers was what portion of the Qur'an to recite. So when I began to pray as a Christian these improvisational prayers, I’d go, what am I supposed to pray? And I look at my hands as I’m praying and I thought I got 10 things to pray about right here. Every single one. What if I didn’t have these. My whole life would be absolutely different. So you have learned that message.
Unlike many of the rest of us will ever be able to learn. But the other thing that I learned was that God, according to Islam, we don’t learn this. God did not stand apart from your suffering. He didn’t watch you suffer and say I want to see what she ultimately does. I want to see what way she finds for herself. God takes a look at our suffering and says I cannot remain aloof from that suffering! I will enter into it. You know Jesus could have come as a prince in the human sense. He could have come with power, he could have come at any time in human history. He chose to come at a very specific time when people had invented how to execute people the most painful way ever devised. The most humiliating way ever despised. God says, THAT type of suffering which goes beyond all other suffering, that’s what I will choose to take on for myself. He entered into it. And why did he do that?
Out of love for you. He didn’t watch you suffer and stand aloof. He took that suffering upon Himself so that He could show us what true love was all about. And you are learning this in a way that none of the rest of us will. So I praise the Lord for who He is. And I praise the Lord for who you are.
You were designed before the creation of the world. This is also a Christian truth. With every single aspect of you in mind. You are not incidental, you are not random, you are not an accident, you are a loved creation of God. And that is absolutely amazing. So if I can encourage you with anything, it’s who He is and who He's made you to be."

I love how rooted his explanations are in his knowledge of God's perfect Love. I guess this is why I grieve from his passing (even if I had just become acquainted with him through net articles and videos in the past week), he was an unwaivering messenger of God's unfailing love, even through suffering. In Biblical times people were married at a very young age. Girls were usually betrothed before they reached puberty - majority of the time the marriage would have consummated when the girl reached puberty, and that was usually between the ages of 8, 9 or older,(Note: when a girl reached puberty prior to the 20th century, she was considered to be an adult in most cultures/societies). In this article I will mostly quote Scholarly sources to prove that marriage in ancient Israelite times took place at a very young age, sometimes the girls who were married off were pre-pubescent. There was no law against a pre-pubescent girl being married off. Actually as you will read further, you will come to realise that the Mishnah gave approval for a Man to have intercourse to a betrothed girl, any-time after the age of three years old.
Sad and touching that Nabeel said this 2 years prior to his own death. May his soul be at peace.

Today I looked at this after having missed my train from Edinburgh to London, and my eyes became welled up with tears...the world truly lost a giant of a man in Christan apologetics...and as I looked around this train station with people going to and fro I thought about how much more the world right now needs men and women to rise up, who would stand in the gap, stand in defense of rhe gospel of Jesus Christ

Syed Awesome the fact that even at his lowest point, when he was facing death, he did not waiver in his faith! His last words to the rest of us were of a lasting legacy of love! Jesus once said, a tree is known by its fruit. The fruit of Nabeel Qureshi's life will live on in all who have eyes to see and ears to hear! There is nothing false in this man, and he did not lie! He consistently points to the Sacrificial love of God! The woman in the video understood what Nabeel was saying. There is no greater love!

YOUSUF MALAMI there was also polygamy and slavery as was common in most cultures in the area then. Does not mean God endorsed any of them. But this is more a reflection of cultural assimilation. God had a purpose in keeping Israelites separate from other cultures. Many times God instructed them to not take on other cultures. They did not listen. They demanded a king because the countries around them all had kings. If you look at ancient culture's treatment of children and track when that started to change, you will see a correlation between that change and Christ's influence in the world long after his resurrection. May I recommend John Ortberg's WHO IS THIS MAN? He looks at the widespread influence of Jesus throughout the world! It would never be the same again.

So eerie to watch this after seeing Nabeel suffer and succumb to stomach cancer. I don't even pretend to understand why people suffer but I do know we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against the powers of the air. Nabeel was very precious to God and publicly witnessing for Him so he definitely had adversaries. Many were even hoping and praying for his punishment by allah for leaving islam; how could you worship a god that wishes death on another? Is this the spiritual force in high places in which Ephesians 6:12 refers? "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."
Prayers for his family, this dear lady with M.S., and even for those who were praying for Nabeel's punishment; he would want that because he worshiped a God of love not hate !

Christ not only suffered physically,but mentally as well..and when the wrath of God was being poured upon him on the cross he carrying the burden of the wrath of the entire mankind on himself..but he still chose to suffer ,he still chose to follow the fathers will and He was crowned with the greatest hougher ..he lays a great example for us even through his suffering just as he promised in his word greater peace awaits when you go away in glory n then none of this will even matter

Man that was a great response there's a muslim video going around that tries to paint Nabeel's answer as being disrespectful or insincere about the ladies question so I thought Nabeel might have put his foot in it until I watched this video.
