Was so engrossed in Sharon's prayers and I closed my eyes and joined, I love how genuine you are Sophie. You are blessed, thanks for showing Nigeria this way
Nigeria's leading UA-camrs started their careers on UA-cam with positive contents about Nigeria. However, it seems at some point, they discovered that the outside world, particularly the rest of the Africans on the continent, prefers negative videos of Nigeria than the positive. As you would expect of people who care more about the numbers and the money to be made, these leading Nigerian UA-camrs decided to cash in by giving the rest of Africa what they want. Some of them are also motivated by politics of Nigeria and their grievances against the Nigerian state. All in all, negative videos on Nigeria and about Nigerians attract more views, and it raises the profile of the person doing that sort of a video quicker than anything else. You can make it quicker as a Nigerian UA-camr or as a non-Nigerian UA-camr by doing videos that humiliates and insults Nigeria and Nigerians. It's become a popular genre here on UA-cam. I think that's the reason why you see a lot of what you see on UA-cam from Nigerian UA-camrs, and by extension, the non-Nigerians.
@@alexbanj7a7bcI'm lost. Please give at least 5 examples of these "leading UA-camrs promoting negative content". And I'm pretty sure for every five you name, I can give you ten who are doing the opposite. Just cause you are not seeking out the good ones to watch, doesn't mean they aren't there! Stop being ignorant and broaden your search, if youtube sees that you're interested in nigerian UA-camrs giving premium positive content, they will recommend more because there are so many! Korty, fisayo soyombo, Tayo Aina, dinma umeh, nelo okeke, nazom's corner, sisyemmie, kamsi nnamani, Vivian okezie, efikzara, ixxuvi, layefa ebitonmo, Dyna ekwueme, babygirltos(mostly), Francis Theodore, the list is endless!
@@chisomo8088 You seem like the type who gets lost easily. Nevertheless, here is one example. I will focus on a UA-cam video on Borno State. Keen observers of the war against insurgency in Borno would tell you that the Borno of four months ago wasn't the Borno of some few years ago when the war was at its most intense. Borno of four months ago and Borno of today seems to have turned the corner in terms of the security situation in that part of Nigeria. Life is gradually returning to normal in most parts of Borno. Refugees within and outside Nigeria are returning back to their homes. Now I am not saying it's 100 percent normal yet in Borno. But many from that part of Nigeria would tell you that life is returning back to normal. About four months ago, after over a decade of war in Borno, a Nigerian UA-camr suddenly decided to do a story of Borno with the title; Inside *Nigeria’s Most Dangerous City!* Now that’s bizarre, cynical, and unnecessarily overdramatic. Please bear in mind that the city in Borno which the video is supposed to focus on is Maiduguri, the capital city of Borno State. Now Maiduguri is safe because it is far away from the far flung areas of Borno which were the epicenter of the war. We know that the insurgents have been largely pushed to the ungoverned no man’s land on the shores of Lake Chad. Someone genuinely interested in telling that story objectively as it was then in Borno would be a little bit circumspect and thorough in their presentation of that story to the world. But no, the owner of that content put it all out there with the most alarming title which clearly is not a factual reflection of Borno at that point in time. And it worked very well. As we speak, that video has over 800,000 views. It's certainly a bestseller. There you have it, Chisom. The example you asked for.
@@alexbanj7a7bc what that UA-camr did is very dishonest and wrong, I acknowledge that. However, that your conclusion is not clear. I asked for 5 examples at the very least. I gave you about 15 UA-camrs who are very unlike the ONE you just mentioned. You cannot make such generalizations as the one you did on the action of one person. Okay, what about a UA-camr like Tayo Aina whose entire page is dedicated to making content surrounding Africa, mostly Nigeria, proving that the stereotypes associated with our culture isn’t true and showing how beautiful Africa is while garnering millions of views. Is his hard work supposed to be undone simply because of one UA-camr with a video of 800,000 views?? Does that make any sense to you? I stand by my point. For every 1 content creator in this day & age making negative videos about Nigeria or Africa, there are 5 making positive videos. Stop being so pessimistic and looking at the glass as half empty. Good work is being done, instead of making false assumptions, do your part by supporting the good and helping it drown out the bad.

One of my closest friends struggled with fibroids and I personally witnessed how hard it was for her and it broke my heart to see her in pain. Your struggle is so relatable to a lot of people so even though you aren’t looking to be a spokes person for it, you being strong enough to just say, “hey, I’m struggling with this” will subconsciously inspire others around. All of that to say I hope you aren’t scared to speak out about your PCOS moving forward. Keep going fine babe and may God continue to bless you❤

You're not alone, I was just feeling depressed when I came on my phone, and your Chanel was the first thing I saw. I needed to see this. I'm literally sitting in the hospital getting hydration and transfusion before my surgery on Wednesday to remove 5 large fibroid and a full hysterectomy, I'm nervous and a bit scared, but I know who I serve. Trust God through the process because you just helped me. You're here for a purpose, when I leave here I'm gonna get pampered to feel better

I loved watching this ❤️❤️❤️Makes me wanna go visit Nigeria 🇳🇬 Thanks Sophia ❤
You are welcome dear
I also have PCOS and I can say that dietary restrictions help with some of the symptoms we are insulin resistant and a lot of foods cause inflammation in our bodies try eating more vegetables and low carb fruits also avoid anything processed, fried, dairy or anything full of added sugar it will make a major difference especially with the bloating and pain!
Very good advice.
What a vlog. You captured her country so well and very well done. Well done. Wishing prosperity and growth this chapter.
Sophie your production skills do it for me everytime😍 God got you always!
It's Swanky for me! I love him on Young Famous and African.
Going through any rough time. Just watching you can encourage others that life can always get better 💙
Soph!!! You are absolutely killing it with the editing, the storytelling, the real and rawness. I’m really blown away! You are destined for greatness my dear 💕
I really appreciate you sharing your experience with us, being vulnerable, and having the courage to inspire without trying. Your vlog warmed my heart on this cold Minnesota negative night, eating with my ramen imagining it's fufu and pepper soup, and watching you continue to show up for yourself even with tears in your eyes is inspiring and upliftings. Thank you sharing Sophiologyyyy!
Aww the prayers with Sharon was so beautiful
Thank you Sophie for sharing!! ❤ I have pcos too and it’s not easy. But you are helping and encouraging so many women that have it. Stay strong and very proud of you!!
Your not only a FINE BABE, but also a STRONG BABE god bless you girl. From all the vlogs that i look your vlogs are my favorite please keep on going🙏🏾 know that i encourage you every stap away👏🏾🫶🏾✨
Sharon's prayer to you, Sophia, was everything! May God continue to bless, protect, and keep you in His powerful arms. Lagos's size reminds me of Cairo....just a monstrosity of a city!! Looks like you had a ball!
This vlog captured the beauty of Nigeria in an extremely beautiful and different light. Also loved the vulnerability. Praying for healing and strength💕💕
Loved Sharon’s prayers Omg 🥺
Sophie I just want you to know that you are LOVED and we understand! 🌺🧡🙏🏾 don’t ever feel like you have to fake the funk with us .. your REAL supporters get you. It’s okay to be weak and imperfect. The part where you said you don’t have it in you right now to be inspiring .. It touched me because - you simply even posting this vlog sharing a vulnerable moment in your life IS inspiring. I don’t struggle with PCOS but I do struggle with a different health issue that affects my daily life. I often feel like I have to keep the burden of that struggle to myself without letting anyone know what’s going on with me.
Seeing you live your life gracefully despite that .. gave me hope to keep my faith firm in Christ for strength. So thanks for that reminder Soph!! By his stripes we ARE healed .. believe this by faith 🙏🏾
You captured everything so well babygirl. I am truly sorry you have to go through with PCOS & fibroids, bless you for capturing your most authentic self which is not always easy to do and I pray that God sees you through it all. xoxo

This video😭😭 Pcos had ruined my life at the age of 25 I’m currently watching this and combing my hair that’s falling out. Women go through so much that’s why we shouldn’t be body shaming. Your trip looked like you had an amazing time and content is superb as usual.
I just absolutely adore this vlog, you, your friends, the whole experience, and your raw transparency on top of that. Thanks for letting us onto your trip! I truly felt like I was there in a sense lol.
Making me miss Nigeria, definitely finding my way there this year by his Grace 🙏🏽🙏🏽. And Sharon’s Pray ❤ 🔥. You can’t go wrong with a friend like her.. I pray the Heavenly Father gives you the strength and grant you all your heart desires🙏🏽🙏🏽

Hey Sophie! I battled with Fibroids for over 4years and I’ve undergone 3 surgeries. I finally got recommended by my gynaecologist to get an IUD after my last surgery (3 months after) and this has totally helped control my bleeding A LOT. Not sure if our cases are similar but hopefully this helps.
Also just an aside, I really had to eliminate foods that would flare up my fibroids.
Honestly this vlog was top -tier. I loved every minute of it, and I pray healing is your IJN.
Aww Sophie 🥺🥺.. hope you get well ❤️🩹..I am a doctor and understand what you’re going through..May God heal you and thank you for showing us the beautiful Nigeria 🇳🇬 definitely on my bucket list ❤
Your vulnerability gives a lot of people strength, thank you. I pray God grants you full healing and perfect health soon. Amen. Thank you so much for sharing.. 🙏🏾
