The bullets always had those home made type signs when they were in Baltimore and for a few years @ capital centre. Heck the mascot was a little dog named tiny that would chase little basketballs across the court during time outs. They had some incredible games there especially against the knicks in the playoffs. That place was loud. Good memories

Right, and shooting and dribbling only looks awkward because lowering rn shoulder or initiating more than the tiniest amount of contact was a charge, touching anything but the top of the ball was a carry, taking more than one step after the catch without dribbling was a travel, as was anything more than two steps, eurosteps were travels as well. Imagine Jerry West, Oscar, Pistol, or Cousy with the rules allowing them to play the way players do today. Imagine Wilt and Bill if lobs were a thing.

I'm not blaming LeBron, but it was around 2004 when the ASG's became an offensive exhibition, as opposed to a contest. It may have more to do with Jordan retiring for the final time since Jordan was the most competitive person ever, regardless of what it is.

Oscar played in 12 AS games & won 11 of them (7-1 w/ East & 4-0 w/ West). He scored 20+ 8X. These were bragging rights for the great players back then when competition meant everything. The NBA AS game was the best of the 4 major sports at that time & always a treat to watch. Oscar is not quite in his peak prime here which was before 1966 when he was the greatest player the world will ever see because of the rules & pre-expansion competition factor.
