After stopping the Mantis War between Grandall, Dalkia and Halteese by destroying Strife and the Ressentiment, The Cadet now General, began to study Soul Edge and its powers. After Strife's defeat, a fragment of Soul Edge fell from the blade before it disappeared through a portal into the Astral Chaos. The General studied The fragment to learn about the corrupting effects of Malfestation that had empowered the Ressentiment. One night, however, the fragment became erratic and began to crack the walls of its glass container. Believing that the fragment might be trying to attach to something bigger like a magnet, The General set off on a new journey, guided by the clinking of the fragment.

-Helmwige (Wolfkrone soldier who was defeated and malfested by Astaroth)

Stage 3: Cult's Vanguard (Bonus Character)
-Ashlotte (A mechanical doll created to hunt down Astaroth and return his core to the remnants of Fygul Cestemus)
Stage 4: Roar
-Nightmare (The Wielder of Soul Edge)
-Cervantes (Past owner of Soul Edge)
-Zasalamel (The 'Puppet Master')
Stage 5: To Hold All
-Algol (Wielder of the power of Soul Edge and Soul Calibur)
Piklepot is accompanied by Talim. This is one of 5 possibilities (Maxi, Talim, Setsuka, Rock and Cassandra)
The ending should fade to black and then show the text but for some reason, it doesn't. It can be interesting to see what goes on behind the scenes though
