I agree, the cat may have scratched him, and that wouldn't have hurt him either, but some parents would have taken it out in the cat, when it was just defending himself...so..cudos to the mom.
When my oldest had his first temper tantrum I threw myself on the floor and cried and acted like him he instantly. Stopped looked at me got up grabbed his bottle gave it to me and took his baby bunker and we went nite nite for nap. He never had another tantrum again. I guess I scarred him
That worked for me too. I was blessed by the Gods cuz my first 2 were awesome, no temper tantrums nothing.. then my 3rd came lol and she made up for the first 2 not having fits. Lolol I remember thinking what am I doing wrong or different… yes I know but I was young.. then I did what you’re talking bout and she would just look at me like ‘this lady is crazy” and she’d end up laughing.. she was my stubborn child, still is but turned out great. Thank God..
If your child is screaming bloody murder because you won't let him do something, do you know what that makes you? A good parent who sets boundaries and stays firm. It seems to be a wonderful rare quality these days where parents cannot abide to see their child upset and would prefer to assume the roll of the child's friend because they are worried if they don't give their children their own way, they won't love them. So good for you for being a parent who guides your child teaching him right from wrong. As he grows up he will be a better brother, friend, student and all around person because his mom took the time to say No and teach him some things he tries to do are not okay and won't be tolerated. That's all I have to say.
Yeah,if animals share the house too, they need to learn to respect them early.Good job mom. My daughter knew before she was 6 months old that you respect the animals!:)
It’s amazing how all kids react to the word, no, even when said gently which is all I’ve seen in these videos. You did good job. 🙂✌️❤️. Sweet big sister.
he's really mad... i like the way you give him time to calm down instead of distracting him with something, teaches him that when you say no, it's no :-)
Crying with no tears. He he just doesn't like being told but good job mom. He needs to know that just because he decides to throw a fit and a tantrum hes not always gonna get what he wants
There is no way on God's green earth a screaming little boy or little girl will every live in my house. I raised two boys and a grand daughter and there were never any temper tantrum. I've seen some little ones in the grocery store screaming and yelling over what ever. During the last one I walked over to the mother and asked if I could talk to the little boy. She said yes. I stood in front of him until he stopped crying. He just stared at me. I got down right in his face and said " If you don't stop yelling and screaming she is going to have to leave the store and you won't have any dinner because YOU made her have to leave before she got food for you to eat". He took a deep breathe and didn't whimper any more. I looked over at his mother and she had her fingers crossed. We talked like we'd know each other for years. Even as she was putting him in the car he didn't say a word, not a sound. So people the people in the rest of the store DO NOT want to hear you kids screaming and yelling.
I was the kinda mom when the tantrum started I walked away. I will not address you in anyway. When I say no or stop a behavior that’s what I mean. You can be very loving but demand respect. I promise doesn’t take long before it stops. I did it their whole life.
He wants to throw a tantrum, I'll give him a reason to cry. And this is exactly why kids are spoiled rotten brats that get away with bs like this........
Best thing to do is get up and walk away. If they follow you and throw a tantrum in once you can see them. keep walking away. When they see that it is not going to do them any good to misbehave, trust me they will stop. Did it with all 6 of my children and it worked every single time.
I like your approach. You mean business but are in no way mean. Very loving, in fact. He's only a baby. Babies cry and throw tantrums largely because they can't express themselves. He is a cute baby! How old is he in this video?
I have never in my entire life seen a child act like that in person. I've only seen them act like that in videos. And I'm old and have been around hundreds of children, none of whom were hit or abused. So it makes me wonder...
Well I remember the 1st time I saw a kid throw a fit. The kid was 5 anmy friends child. I was 21 and I had my 1st child, a boy and he was 1. I hadn't a clue what was wrong with my friends boy and genuinely perplexed. And then I had 4 more and a newly complete understanding of what fits were all about. Lol.
My very thought as soon as she called his name a friends daughter wanted to call her first child Colin and loads of people adviced her not to and his gran said if he was to be called Colin she would give him another name when she was with him and when the woman had a girl two years later again the mum said a name no one liked Pollyanna and and that's what she was christened as and apart from the mum and dad the girl now eight has been called Callie and when they say Pollyanna she won't answer even the school call her Callie which she absolutely loves and she's the only one in her school called Callie whilst there are three called Polly Anna and two Anna's
Im glad there is parents out there that don't let a baby or toddler control their life with tears and tantrums. Some people think you should NEVER let a baby cry or scream under any circumstance, babies and toddlers cry, its normal, its not going to kill them. I knew a couple who gave a heavy pan to a toddler after he cried for 5 minutes and he literally split his siblings head open and ended up in ER and toddler had audacity to cry over it despite not getting hurt... go figure.
OMG! he is so adorable! It looks like he really wants mom, but then remembers that you said no to him and he gets mad/upset again. Lol. You can see the inner turmoil he is going through. Yes, I want my mom, but I'm mad at her! Lolol.
I think when their upset like that. It's best to stick to your guns. In this case he was told no. So what pick them up and baby them because they were told no.

@@choochietrixie9352 I've never made a dime from UA-cam. I've never heard of the video you are talking about. That's funny. Darling baby boy. Just Darling. The only thing is, I didn't believe in pacifiers for my 4 kids and funny thing is, I did try at 1st and they hated them!
Oh, most definitely. I share the comments that come in every once in awhile and then we all watch it and laugh about it. I threatened to show it at his wedding.
If u would have stopped talking to him and just ignored him and put the camera down, he would have gotten out of the tantrum alot faster. But like alot of other parents of this generation it was much more important for u to capture the moment to get "likes" on social media
She would have taken the scissors away & said boo boo ouchie to him. Like a stove & hot. You could have put the scissors up, said no, and got up and ended it with a lesson learned
Actually, this was filmed and shared on UA-cam because 7 years ago, that's how we shared videos with our family. It was never intended to be viewed by anyone else. But, we didn't make it private so it was found and has now been seen by many others. I've since hidden some of them but others seemed to like this one so I left it up here.
She was right to just let him wind down cause he clearly didn't know what he wanted and it would be futile to pacify him with toys and such and she did try to connect with him, but he would have none of it. He didn't know what videoing was at that age, so don't assume she was just doing that for likes. Good for you mom for teaching him early.

Tantrums over the word "no" are proof that we are born with a sense of entitlement that has to be socialized out of us. 😆

At least his first temper tantrum was at home. My son's first was at Target, with him throwing himself on the floor and doing what they do. 😅
