    • @isaiahphillip4112
      @isaiahphillip4112 9 років тому +36

      Didrick Namtvedt Velociraptor's plumage was probably significantly more conservative, to increase camouflage when hunting and ambushing.
      Also the Velociraptor wasn't smaller than this bird, it weighed around 30-40 pounds, while the vulture weights 10-15.

    I have never seen such a nice looking Vulture. Never heard of a bearded breed before. I an no expert but, this bird seems more hungry than dangerous. The birds disposition seems rather good. If it wanted to hurt you I am sure it could easily. Maybe a little lunch would be a good idea. After a meal the bird might be a little more friendly/ relaxed. That is if a Vulture can get friendly with a human? Never seen one this close to a persons face before. You got some big ones buddy. Thank you for posting.

      they are known as "bonebreakers eagles", although they are no real vultures they have a completely different diet than other birds of pray, they eat bone marrow and do not have the strength to cut the hide of the carcasses so they wait until the remains of it so they are the last to appear in a feast.

      Fun fact, there is no such thing as a Red Bearded Vulture. The adults bathe themselves in red soil to look more intimidating. The bird in this video is its natural color. :)

    That bird is being super chill all things considered. I totally love Bearded Vultures as you might be able to tell from my avatar. They like to bathe in the blood of their prey and dye their feathers red in the blood.

    They're diet consist of only bones. It patiently waits for the other raptors eat all the meat off of the animals bones that's being eaten and then it devours the bones. It will also drop big bones on rocks from high a altitude to break it in order to get to the bone marrow. Awesome creature #facts
