I love HAGANE! so good. SAYAKA is the HERO for me on bass, she's outstanding. I still prefer KANAKO's drums, but I am warming up to JUNNA who has been too showy for me overall so far, but she's settling in nice so far. SAKURA is amazing as always love seeing her on this guitar as well. NAGI, wow, I have been blown away by NAGI's vocals since this EP dropped and wow, she's impressing me more and more with her stage presence also. NAGI is going to be one of the reasons the rebirth of HAGANE will not just rise from the ashes, but soar....they are way up there IMO. top tier band. easy. NAGI stays engaged with the crowd and is clearly feeling the song not just singing her part then turning her back for a drink etc. She is all in and I am loving her hand gestures, body rockin' to the groove. Junna & SAYAKA really powerful together holding that pocket down so good. SAKURA's writing and arrangements are pure fire. this band has everything you want. I need to see them perform LIVE! so good.

Hagane was about to blow up when they split. Code;9021 was such a good album.
But it seems they only delayed it two years, this EP they just published is already so good too.

I really wish Japanese bands would stop putting "Live" in the title of their MV's even if it uses live footage (which I have no issue with, especially if it's as produced as this) and even with the tiny snippets of live stuff in there. When you are used to Japanese bands you expect that this might be the case, but I have seen other reactors being very confused by it. As far as the track goes, I do actually enjoy it. It's less cheesy melodic power metal than a lot of their other tracks (including on the newest EP), I wish the melodic part and fake high vocal note (extremely pitch-corrected) wasn't in there but it's such a short part that it's easy to overlook. The track really shows off how good/technical they are as musicians.

It wasn't fake high pitch note, she can do it live as well, maybe not to the perfection, but pretty close! ( search for HAGANE J Mello on UA-cam, if u r interested).
And overall Nagi is a great singer, saw her live cover of some ( can't recall it name) song, it was in english. She has beautiful voice and good pronouncation.
Also she just started her career as a pro vocalist, of course she had some experience before, but often performances and rehearsals will bring her skills to another level.

Same, the fact they called it "live" while it's obviously the studio track with live images totally ruined it for me. Precision: I bought the CD and I like the track.

@@realdocloco cut them some slack, to record live pro with good audio it will cost too much. Would u prefer to listen to low quality track?
Even Tenka Goken MV was a gamble for them, they went almost all in.
And though many ppl say that break up with previous members didn't affect HAGANE much, in fact it was still a huge blow.
If I'm not mistaken, at that time there weren't any signed contracts with agency as well.
Give HAGANE some time to grow.

@@funnystuff2552 I simply want them to title honestly their videos, and not use the word "live" when it's obvious it's not the case. And It's the same for every band and artist, Hagane are not the only one to do it by far. Honesty always pay in the end.

@@funnystuff2552 It is absolutely fake the way it sounds, it is autotuned to hell and back. Does that mean she can't hit the note? No, I didn't say that. It means that they overproduced her vocals, just like they did with Uyus (and they still do with Uyus on Mana Diagram), just like Trident is doing with Asaka' vocals and I can name a LOT of bands because Japan loves to put a LOT of production on vocals and I have never been a fan. So I have never said Nagi isn't a good singer, the same goes for Uyu, but the vocal production they use on Hagane's albums basically ruins most of the tracks for me personally (it did on the full album). I absolutely hate it when I imagine people playing a keyboard with vocal samples on it when people sing and that is exactly what happens on some of their tracks. And credits to them for this track, it doesn't really happen here with the exception of that one note, it's pretty well done on the whole EP compared to the full album. To me it's not the "fault" of the vocalist, but of the production team (so possibly Sakura with how much she does in the band). Overall my stance is, trust in your lead vocalist, in most cases they don't need all that crap on their vocals and if you can't trust them, find an other vocalist.
Btw, I could see the break up from a mile away, I even said so in comment sections months before it happened (same for Narumi leaving Lonesome_Blue). It is very difficult to keep a band together with 1 person doing almost everything and calling the shots. I am sure she learned from this and I have a way better feeling this time, but it might still be an issue in a couple of years. Btw, I called out Mana Diagram on their use of studio sound over live concert footage on their official channel because I had seen the actual livestreamed show and it sounded really good and didn't need the studio sound. Don't sell yourself short by lying to people when it's not even needed. Again, no issue in using live footage, just remove "LIVE" from the title. I know Live music video for Japanese bands means exactly this, but I think it's disingenuous. What are you doing when you are a new band and start out by just plainly lie to your fans.
