I’m sure they’ve met off screen. I mean it’s been a few years since Klaus, Elijah, and Hayley died so she’s had to have been back to New Orleans since then for Holidays and Summers and other things. Legacies makes it seem like she has no family and she is absolutely alone but she still has Marcel, Rebekah, Kol, Freya, Davina, Keelin, her cousin Nik and even Vincent (I know that he’s technically not her family but he cares about her).

Lydia Martin i want her to visit New Orleans and her family more she needs them right now 🥺 but then realized what if she doesn’t want to go back to New Orleans because that’s where the witches almost tried killing her, she had to be with Rebekah and away from her parents, her aunt, grandmother, and uncles were after her, Marcel captured klaus and made them be separated, the hollow came and it tore them apart and ended up taking over her and almost killing her and then both her parents died there. it might be hard to go back but I want to see her over there more often
