Thanks for the video. Surah Al Baqarah is one of my favourite surahs of the quran. And I have been learning its meaning in English. And I listen to it everyday and night
assalamualaikum yes surah Baqarah is definitely my favorite surah too, this surah definitely is one of main reasons I converted 14 years ago...... alhamduallah.....I have memorized 1-115 so far ....this surah keeps depression away

According to sheik Assim Al Hakeem it is a bidah to recite it everyday as there is no authentic hadith?? Just watched a video of his where he is saying that we do not need to recite it everyday and the Prophet Muhammad PBUH has not said anything regarding this. I honestly don't know who to believe anymore. Evey mufti and Sheik has his own interpretation
Salam. Let me tell you about me and sura al baqara.
I’ve been very unwell for most of my life. Alhamdullilah I wasn’t bed ridden but I was a zombie. Black magic ( which I didn’t believe I had ) and lots of evil eyes.
As I got older my “migraines “ for worse. I had migraine attacks 25 days out of 30 days. I gave up my job and was in bed most of the times.
I asked Allah to heal me and make me strong. Couple of years later I was told to befriend sura al baqara. Recite in everyday. I did it!!
Today 3 years of reciting sura al baqara. Alhamdullilah I’ve no pain no nightmares no sadnesses. Alhamdullilah Alhamdullilah Alhamdullilah!!
I can’t go a day without reciting it.
So I got more advanced as someone knowledgeable told me to try to recite it praying qiyamu-Layl. I DO IT!!
Alhamdullilah. I’m so blessed I feel closer to Allah. My mouth is moving constantly in dhikir.
Even when I wake up at night I wake up reciting verses in my head.
I’ve AMAZING DREAMS. was even blessed seeing our prophet in a dream.
Whatever I ask for Allah grants it to me.
We’re created to worship Allah. And HIS promise of granting us our prayers are in HIS mercy. Alhamdullilah for the blessings of ISLAM!! Alhamdullilah
You don't read it as sunnah because it's not sunnah, but read it for benefits, then it won't be bid'ah
I saw the same video with Sheik Assim Al-Hakeem. I understood him to mean that if one recites surah al-Baqara as a daily routine, as if it were a prescribed part of the Deen (like making wudu before salah) . Sheik Assim was saying that THIS would be considered bidah as Prophet Muhammad pbuh did not do this, apparently. That was what I understood him to mean. I recite some of al Baqara almost everyday as I am trying to memorize it. But, am VERY slow at memorizing. I hope this explanation helped, even though it's a YEAR later!😅❤️☝🏽
I read surah Al Baqarah every 3 days for its benefit, bidah if you claimed Prophet SAW recite Al Baqarah everyday or every 3 day etc.. you recite it whenever you feel the need of protection from Allah. Allah knows best
Sunah is what prophet Muhammad salalaahu alaihi wasalam did daily so those sheikhs you mentioned they don’t to give you wrong advice but however you can read whenever you want
