In this video, Scott Grant, a Certified Senior Advisor and Senior Home Safety Specialist at Graying With Grace, presents an in-depth review of the Hearkent Waterproof Pedometer Watch specifically designed for seniors.
Featuring not just a pedometer to help seniors track their steps, but also an easy-to-read digital watch, the device eliminates the need to wear multiple accessories.
Scott demonstrates the watch's key functions, including setting the time and date, using various modes such as stopwatch, countdown, alarm, and hourly chime.
He also explains the unique '10-second rule' for step counting to reduce the chance of false readings.

Does it count and jump steps when driving a car. Checking as Casio count messes up when driving any vehicle
How do you change the watch strap
How do you disable the beep when you click the buttons
This was a great demo and explanation of everything. Do you know if there is a way to turn the chime off so it doesn't beep every time I make an adjustment to the watch?
Thanks so much! No, I could not find a way to turn the chime off when using the buttons. You can turn the hourly chime off if that is on.
@@GrayingWithGrace Thank you
That was very helpful for changing the time for daylight savings time.
Awesome! I'm glad it was helpful!
How do you get normal time mode in the center of the watch?
I have this watch and somehow the steps are in the middle of the screen with the time at the bottom. I can’t figure out how to get it back to the correct position
Hi, your link for the watch is not working on both your youtube channel and your blog.
Hi Scott: Can you change the step count from kilometers to miles? Thanks for producing this informative video. 👍
Yes you can! In the setup steps I demonstrated change the measurement setting to inches from cm and that will switch it all to imperial measurements
Thanks, Scott!
I’m going to use for walking in swimming pool class for 45 minutes. Has anyone else used it for pool walking ? Does it counts water walking steps ?
Great idea - let us know how it works!
