I bought it a few days ago, one of the last t10 tanks i had left to buy - weird because i like the 45.02b. So many people crap on it i'd been put off. I figure between the xmas style, having a santa claus commander ready for it and the tott discount it was time. I love it. You can bait so many people into shooting the lower plate, the turret is reliable, gun is great. Mobility is better than you expect, its just a good bruiser, can ram so well. I solo'd a maus first game and they only got one shot in. I'm only half way through the field mods but win ratio is hovering just over 60% and my average damage is getting near 5k. It wont be everyone's playstyle but its absolutely underrated. Now i really want the VKK but i cant be bothered to mess around with clans again. PS. Xmas style actually seems to distract people from the side weakspots!

After side-scraping to 8.2k blocked damage in the VK45.02b I thought that was my record for this year. Then 2nd game in the Pz VII I blocked 10.2k by getting hull down on a ridge and just facing the threat head-on
Hey Max, ever since you dropped Jagdpanzer E 100 guide i've improved a ton since i was very new to the tank, just 2 weeks into it. Thanks to you i fully managed to understand it and now i get 5-6k games and my dmg record was 7k. I learned how to use it's armor exactly as well and it blocks even the heat shells if you angle according to the enemy's gun position. Currently farming the 2nd mark and might go for the 3rd mark. The best advice you gave me was to take the field mod for reverse speed. I took Experimental Turbo because its the same as Bounty Turbo in terms of raw km/h but it also has traverse buff and traverse gun stabilization although a slightly weaker engine power buff than the bounty turbo but it doesnt matter really. It would be cool if the Panzer VII got the E100 Gun (15cm) as a second option, that would make it a cool alternative for clanless/free2play players. And VKK would still be better with its slightly better armor and the 350 heat.
Saw a vid saying rhis tank is getting a buff soon. I've got the vk 4502b which I'm having some good games in without the top gun, so hoping the buff goes ahead before I get to this.
If the VKK didn't exist, the Pz VII would be a neat tank to play, but since the VKK does exist, the Pz VII just feels like it's worse cousin. That and in my honest opinion, the VK 45.02 B is just better tier for tier, even if it's gun is a bit more derpy, it's armor is more solid than the Pz VII I just wish I could enjoy it
It's an ok tank, and I really like it. However, the reason, why it seems weak, is because there are tanks like sconq, which is op, it remains unnerfed and it is better in every way except alpha, which it compencates by having extreme dpm. All in all, I much prefer playing off-meta tanks like pz 7, maus and god forgive me, type 5
I wouldn’t consider the Sconq op tbh. I’d say the Sconq is meta….but quite balanced actually. Its slow, has good turret armour but its not invulnerable and very much counterable, but as it lacks in those areas, gun is quite accurate but it is not a lazer like the Leo gun or STRV gun, but the sconq makes up its other deparments (DPM and gun depression)
@@spysmocking4536 I beg to differ, the SConq isn't op but it is too good in its current state. The SConq outperforms almost every tech tree heavy tank, it's essentially the poor man's Chieftan. High DPM with incredible gun handling. Strong turret armor that requires HEAT to pen it's "weakspot" or high pen gold rounds for it's turret ring. It can side scrape exceptionally well because it's turret ring is stupid thick. It has decent mobility when you slap a turbo on it. Literally all it's weaknesses can be negated with Experimental HP, and a turbo, then it's only weakness is arty at that point.

Therefore, i don’t think this tank needs a nerf overall. But if WG were to do a nerf is to maybe nerf its speed a little bit, by like 2,5 kph, maybe nerf the DPM by a little bit but keep the gun handling the same.
I didnt expect Jagdpizda to be more accurate than this tank considering the caliber of Jagdpizda but then again im using Snap Shot and i dont see it on your crew but still, i have 0,30 dispersion while u have 0,33 so even with Snap Shot it'd probably still be worse so thats kind of puzzling to me lol, you know, considering the 17cm caliber and stuff. FYI i play Jagdpizda and am having a BLAST playing against tourists on New Year's and its quite common for me now to get 5k-6k games lmao my MoE was never higher than now
I think its a decent tank. Not the best armor, but if you know how to angle it, the tank could work pretty well. I just bought the tank, but it was mostly because of the "panzer klaus" style, which is my favorite 3D style in the game.
I had this tank when it first came out and have since sold it, I got really angry playing it, it gets ammo racked constantly, even from shots coming from the front. The dpm is horrible, and you get penned in weird places just like the VK 72. Not a fan of the VK either, the gun is too derpy.
I have the clan wars vkk version, and it is miles better, not just because of the gun and ammo, but just because it can actually sidescrape, if this tank didn't have the stupid huge side turret mounting weakspots, it would be a perfectly good tank, its literally the only buff it needs, to become somewhat competitive, I can work around the turret being weak, its even more annoying, as if you like the sidescraping rear turret playstyle, you can just pick the obj705a and get an impenetrable turret, aswell as no side weakspots, same pen, more alpha, more dpm, feels a lot more manouverable with almost 25% more top speed, and with 50% more hpt, just no point to play the PzVII
10:50 Don’t apologise at all tbh. Full gold is something that shouldn’t be frowned upon. It is in the game and it is required to achieve the best possible results in this game.
I wouldn't say the tank is good, but it has its moments - especially when the gun works. Sometimes, the gun treats you like piss just like game 1, but other times you hit those shots consistently while your enemies flail around

I managed to complete the final heavy tank mission in my first attempt in the Pz.VII, solid tank. over 9k dmg blocked.

my trick is if the tank is very tall. Like this one or the Arnie. I shoot 2 feet above my target. Most times it helps.
I actually really like this tank, the gun is just so comfortable
If we compare this to e100 which is better
E100. Has more health, better armour and better DPM (Even with the big gun).

You're not the only one who likes off-meta tanks, I love my Rino and Type 5. I even liked the AMX M4 54 before the buffs.
