I have a traditional scrapbook for big events like our wedding and honeymoon! I memory keep in my deluxe monthly planner though, I love the flexibility of it and don't feel like I need to be perfect.
My family loves camping and hasn’t done it in 4 yrs. 😫😭 great video a always girlfriend. I’m getting back into memory keeping. My sis and I were into scrapbooking but I’m loving the memory keeping in the books.
I have wanted to do something like this but like you said, I spend too much time trying to make it perfect and never get anything done. I love how easy you've made this look.
YES! It definitely still takes time to do, but when I'm not worried about all the perfect paper, stickers, stamps, etc. and just focus on getting the memories down, it takes way less time and I'm so happy it's done!
Fun video! 😀 I tried to keep a full on memory planner and it was overwhelming. I either didn’t have time to do it every week so it became a chore to catch up. Or some weeks just weren’t all that interesting enough to memory keep. Now I use some highlights - photos, cards, etc, from the month and tack them at the end of month in my EC on the lined page with a little journaling. No pressure and I’m really loving it.
My three favorite high school movies are 1. Harry Potter⚡️, 2. Grease (which now that i think about it, is totally a high school movie. thanks for reminding me Laken! 🍿) and 3. Mean Girls 💖, pretty much in that order! 😛 i usually think of Grease as one of my favorite musicals, before anything else.
Just starting to memory plan glad I watched video I was over thinking how to do it glad you said it does not need to be perfect just get the pictures down
I used to memory keep in my bullet journal, but they got so girthy and awkward with the things I wanted to add (aka x-mas cards etc) that I ended up getting a Junque Journal after seeing your first video with them! I had toyed with the idea of getting a second EC or a Happy Planner to memory keep there, but it was a little overwhelming since I feel like you HAVE to do something each day. I like the JJ because its not bound by date, and I don't feel pressured to keep filling it out. I leave it for the important things :)
The archivist in me is crying when you don't add dates/locations to some of the pages! Someday someone is going to look at this and go, "Oh, I wonder when this was! And I wonder who these people are!" LOL But you always do a beautiful job - thanks for the inspiration!
@@PlanwithLaken trust me, your grandkids, great grandkids, and so on will thank you if you do!! I can't tell you how frustrating it is to have an amazing scrapbook from 100 years ago with tons of great pictures and stuff AND NO INFO! Lol!
I do memory keeping kind of in my planner. I wouldn’t be able to keep track of an actually memory planner, but I love putting in pictures and ticket stubs and things a like that into my planner spreads after the week is done!
Cute video! In terms of the rearranging, I’d like to see maybe some sped up footage of you figuring out the layouts. I’d rather see that than you sorting pictures into piles, but that’s just me!
Ok I am such a nerd too and I would totally dork out about something like that. Sam's friend sounds LEGIT triple threat. I'd love to see her perform so if you hear of a show she's in and mention it maybe I can get my hubby to road trip to NYC to see it. I would definitely pick Mean Girls for my high school movie. 10 years ago I would have said Clueless, but I was 11 when that came out so I don't think it really counts :D.
Would EC coil clips work in this book? Then you could add bigger items without losing a page in the book. I used to scrapbook years ago then was doing it in a bullet journal. I’m now leaning towards a happy planner to do memory keeping
Love memory keeping! I do like to put places and write a bit next to my photos so it’s nice to see something different! Is there a reason you only use one side of the page? Is it personal preference or because of the coil or anything else’? I’m curious about that!
I do my memory keeping in my bullet journal 🥰 I make a monthly spread of memories from that month. I used your method of creating a six pic collage and print from my Polaroid SnapTouch. Quick question: what do you do with the left page (the back of the page) do you journal on that side or leave it blank? Is there a reason you only memory keep on one page instead of two? I’ve been watching since Vlogmas so I’ve seen the first memory keeping video you did using your Junque journal. You might have explained my question already and I just don’t remember.
LOVE THE MEMORY-KEEPING VIDS!!!♥️♥️♥️
Every time you use this journal, i want one! I have so much from our travels just in envelopes. It would be fun to have things where I could see them.
Do it! I'm so glad I got it!!
I love memory keeping and I loved this video !!!
Thank you!

Love the idea of doing traditional scrapbooking for big things!

Oooh I love the idea of using that lined page for it!

That's a great point! I do like not feeling confined by dates!
noooo I like to keep ALL room keys!!
loved the Whitney page!!
I usually too, but that one didn't even say the city on it.

You know, I have had some of the same thoughts! Maybe I'll go through next time and add dates and locations to the back of the pages!

Love your memory keeping videos! :) Thank you for sharing! :) I love so many high school movies. I would probably pick 10 Things I Hate About You.

I will let you know! Right now she's in LA doing something!
I would love to see your playbill binder flip thru 💖
Ok! I shared them when I first got them in a vlog, but I have no idea which one! LOL I'll share them again soon
Fun video! I like being nosy and see what you add but it also inspires me to keep memory keeping!
Thank you for sharing why you enjoyed it!
This is super cute Laken!!! I don’t memory keep but it’s lovely to watch while you do 😊

That's a great idea! I'll have to try!

Just because I stamp sometime and it bleeds through to the other side!
Don t worry about the writing/journaling, you use your youtube for that right?😊
Great point!

I think I started doing it because I had stamped on pages and didn't want to deal with the back?? I actually don't have a good reason!
What size is your Memory planner?
It's 9x7.
