During this Chadar trek, we have done off-trail hiking at some places. We do not encourage going to such places because it is necessary to have a local guide and security to go to such places, going to an unknown place on your own and bathing in the cold water there can cause serious injury.
This may be why Chadar Trek's insurance does not take responsibility during such accidents, keep this in mind.
