I like the analogue gauges with digital speedo in the middle if selected. Also has change/ pen/ etc. storage between cup holder and centre console. Google/ Apple Maps displays perfectly on the infotainment screen as well. Also like the charging icon on the lower right part of the screen when your phone is wirelessly charging. Wish it had the front camera. Three windshield squirted nozzles is a pleasant surprise. Thanks for the video.
What sucks it that the Canadian models come with the heated steering wheel. They are made in the exact same Indiana factory, but a U.S. spec car doesn't even offer it as an option.
They say it's because the U.S. has tire pressure monitors. I think that is so assanine on Subarus part. This is an off road package and no steering wheel heater? Dumb.
I will take traditional gauges over the digital dash on any day. My 2023 WRX Sport-Tec is just fine with information rich "traditional gauges:. My 2021 Accord 2.0T Sport has a combo setup and although nice, the old-fashioned but clear and good looking gauge is still the better choice.
I was comparing cars such as Toyota, Honda Kia, & Nissan, in AWD system, price, options, Subaru came out on top. I'm now the proud owner of a 2024 Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness, and I'm loving it !!!!! 🏆🏆SUBARU🏆🏆 Best Bang for your Buck 🤑💰
Of all the Wilderness models, I think the Crosstrek looks the best. I know it's built to a price, but at $35K, the lack of rear vents for the back seat and lack of a heated steering wheel for the USA market (as pointed out by others here) are two serious misses. Laggy infotainment but serviceable, and otherwise it gives a lot of bang for the buck, especially if you use it for its intended capabilities and don't try to do Jeep Wrangler things in it. Overall, a good effort by Subaru, and maybe one day we'll see a hybrid or like you said, horsepower closer to the 200 range--since Toyota owns 20% of Subaru, would be nice to see Toyota's 2.4L hybrid engine in here making 219 hp but I am sure that may be an issue with Subaru's AWD set up-fun to think about, anyway.
Subaru will never use a Toyota engine. What they will do is borrow their hybrid tech. That’s coming on the Forester next year and is what was used on the past Crosstrek Hybrid and PHEV, those were Prius batteries.
Going to rant a bit here .. had a 2021 Crosstrek Sport and built it up .. Bilstein suspension, lifted, BFG KO2's but had to get rid of it or loose my insurance .. at 23000 miles I had gone thru 5 windshields and the 5th one already had a repair! Before you buy a Subaru check out to see what class action suits are filed against Subaru. That's a bit of a rant but not the one I want. Who in there right mind has decided that all cars should have a center video screen that's got all the data needed to drive or do temp controls or the like? You keep your eyes on the road .. these screens in my opinion are worse then the texting phone users going down the road. There .. rant done. 😎
Overall, this is a great, ultra-offroad capable reliable lifted hatchback thing, and for the amount of price, honestly, it's actually a good deal. It also is probably one of the better designed and looking subaru's of the modern era imo.
FOR YOUR DRIVING SAFETY IN SNOW, EVEN IF IT IS ONLY A FEW CENTIMETRES THICK, YOU SHOULD DEFINITELY USE WINTER TYRES RATHER THAN ALL-SEASON TYRES TO ENSURE GOOD CONTACT WITH THE GROUND.
I would say this is true even if there is no snow. The tire compound is designed to stay softer in low temperatures which you need for good traction even if it's completely dry outside

That rear air vent is super necessary for long travel.
I love my Cross Trek limited. If we received more snow in Pa I would definitely upgrade my 2019 model.
