I agree that kpop has a lack of lower voices. Usually low voiced people are pushed to be rappers rather than singers like j hope in bts and there are a lot of other rappers with low voices (youngguk, top) and the only baritone vocalist I can think of rn is v. I think Vixx also had a low voiced singer but I can't remember.
true.jaehyun from nct is baritone but he always gets lines that require him to sing high, which he can do, but there are some times when they are singing live and you can hear a little strain. it makes me worried sometimes
Angela pisano svt in the new album has tried a lot of pretty low singing imo not sure if thats baritone or not but its because the rappers have really deep voices and they are singing a lot in the recent album!
I don’t know if you know this already but there are quite a few great vocalist which are Baritones: B.a.p Youngjae 2pm Junho Winner Seungyoon Btob Sungjae Ikon June,....

Because a lot of them especially mentioned Seungkwan's beautiful voice I would like to request his Duet Song Festival performance - it is so so impressing and great to watch (because at first people just assume he is "just another idol" and then the high notes and emotions come kicking in) - please please make the vocalists react to that or either/both Seungkwan's or Seokmin's/Dk's covers that can be found on the official Pledis channel...I think they would really enjoy listening to that and it would make my day/week! =)
...also I think you should do that because this performance didn't show off their proper singing voices and talents good enough, so please please Umu q.q
Yes, they need to watch this!! I love seeing the looks on people's faces while watching that video because they don't know just how special Seungkwan is until he proves it to them
DK and Seungkwan is indeed the best vocalist on Seventeen. Please check their duet Monodrama cover. BUTTt you can't ignore the other members. Everyone is getting better these days. S.Coups and Wonwoo (who's on rapper line) have a beautiful voice. and Jun! his voice is incredibly unique it's like autotuned BUT IT'S NOT, please listen to Lilili Yabbay. And for vocalist react I suggest Vocal Team - Don't Listen in Secret, or Pinwheel, their voice sounds much clearer and stronger. The harmonization and high note, I guess it's much suits for your react. Thank you!
didn't one seventeen member say they spent trainee days running around their practice room while singing? cause that would help explain how they can dance and sing at the same time. also if we're talking about groups not lipsyncing, then bap (said cause i like them but theres plenty more) who can't lipsync to save their lives simply cause they always sing live and when they do have to lipsync its hilarious
melisunjoo B.A.P and Infinite both said they suck at lipsync so they never do it. You can actually hear Daehyun and Sunggyu/Woohyun hit the high notes. And I think Daehyun got a lot of health problem because of that before the hiatus, that's why now he shares more lines with Youngjae and Jonggup.
Yes! That’s how they built their vocal stability while dancing. I think it was Seungkwan who said that. And lol yes, it does remind me of Daehyun xD he sucks at lip-sync (actually most of BAP do)... i always loved BAP’s performances where Daehyun would literally ad-lib OVER the backtrack just to make a point ahhahha
melisunjoo all kpop idol trainees run while singing during trainee days. it’s kinda mandatory if you will be singing and dancing (at the same time). i’m guessing almost all companies make their trainees do it.
Most groups will practice lipsyncing, I’ve seen some girl groups do push-ups while singing to practice. BAP are the odd ones out lol maybe because singing live wasn’t as important during the 2010’s era. And I know MR removed videos on UA-cam are reliable but that one 1004 mr removed was pretty good 👀
This was filmed a long time ago--most likely the same day all the other Vocalists React videos were filmed. It still has the old intro, and they're all wearing the same clothes as the videos released half a year ago.
tbh its still insane how at that time they're this good specially when they don't have ear pieces cuz their company is poor and they're still new to the scene and singing high ass notes live without the help of ear pieces is insane, I think any other rookie will still struggle to cover this song so kudos to svt
real emo hours but can i just say that i'm literally crying over seokmin and how much of a good vocalist he is but he's almost always underrated and overshadowed (not just in the group but among kpop main vocals in general) so he's always so pressured to do well to the point that he even broke down crying on broadcast on two separate occasions (during 17 project and for their going seventeen showcase). he has a considerably healthy singing technique for a k idol and has a lot of power in his voice i wish people would appreciate him more :(((
To be fair, Pretty U is NOT the song for him. It doesn’t really suit his vocals as much as say: Seungkwan or Woozi. If they watched Aju Nice, they would definitely notice him.
I always get pissed when in every Seungkwan appreciation there is always a pity DK comment. Seungkwan is the one who's underrated and gets little attention for how good he is.
I agree with Gwen about Seungkwan's high notes. I love Seventeen and Seungkwan's my favorite vocalist in the group (aside from Woozi because I love his vocal color and versatility), but I feel like they push him too far with the high notes sometimes. He sounds great as long as they don't make it go too high, but they almost always do, and it almost always sounds like he is straining, and it is unpleasant to listen to (even in the studio versions). I wish they wouldn't do that because the notes he can hit and make sound pleasant are already high and impressive enough, there's no need to go overboard, because it just makes the song sound worse.
There are a lot of live performances were he does the high notes really well. In this year they have performed pretty U and you can see the improvement tough
i really love watching people appreciating seventeen's talent. it melts my heart watching them compliment these talented boys :(( if you haven't heard about seventeen, bro you're missing a lot
Still waiting for So Hyang for this series! I know she's not an idol, but she's done all of these singing shows they do and it'd be CRIMINAL not to do at least 1 episode dedicated to her.
I think the line with Seungkwan singing so high should have been given to Seokmin instead since he can hit higher notes then him. Hobi, I don't think, has that deep of a voice. From BIGBANG there is TOP who is baritone, but he's a rapper, so not sure if he counts
tooearlyforapril i don't think seokmin's confident singing high up there w/o falsetto.. he has great control of his voice and his falsetto is sic but when you watch/listen to both him and seungkwan singing(not on stage..like casually or playing around) seungkwan seems a lot more confident. i might be saying nonsense or sound like idk wtf im talking abt(which, tru) i do know tho that they both have gorgeous voices😩
M A lol youre good. I didn't even think about the confidence part. Thanks for calling it to my attention! Confidence in singing definitely takes a toll in it's quality, so youre right. I'm hoping he can take that chance soon Seokmin is so incredibly talented. Well, all the guys are, but you know what I mean
It's common in kpop to pre-record the voice to for live stage. But they sing it live too, just without dancing so it's much stable. Then they added it at the live stage. Everyone that isn't sure whether this performance is prerecorded or not, make sure to go watch their pretty u performance in their showcase,I'm 99% sure that is live
I HAVE BEEN ON THE EDGE OF MY SEAT FOR LIKE HALF A YEAR FOR THIS VID EVER SINCE YOU PUT IT AS FILMED IN THE OLD REACTION SCHEDULE,I'M SO GLAD IT'S FINALLY OUT,I EXPECTED YOU TO MAKE THEM REACT TO THEIR PRETTY U SHOWCASE ONE THAT I'M LIKE 99% SURE ITS LIVE BUT THIS ALSO SOUNDS LIVE SO ILL LIVE WITH THAT,ANYWAY THANK YOU!
Hotaru Dang it!! Now I want to go watch like a fire live again. I just got over my bout of obsession the other day!! Thanks for nothing!! But yes... I really need them to react to that live perf.
I was glad to finally hear someone say that about Seungwans high note. I love seventeen, but sometimes i wonder why they give seungwan so many parts that would sound better with Dokyeom. Don't hate me, lol. He's extremely talented, but sometimes watching live can be a lil painful. I want him to take care of his vocal chords.
Have you heard of the group Paradise? They haven't debuted yet officially so I don't know if there's a good video to react to at this point, but they're a boy group with all classical training. One of the members is a former opera singer and does covers of classical songs on their channel. Very interesting because I believe there's five members and not all are tenors, definitely worth checking out. Great video as always!
This sounds interesting. I hope Umu sees this!!! Thanks to this comment. I'm going to go check this group out now! I'm so glad that groups are coming out with different concepts like Kard is a mixed gender group & Dreamcatcher has elements of rock + horror. I stan a lot of groups. They're apparently called a Popera group. They're a fusion group!!
Mingyu's also got a pretty deep voice, along with Wonwoo's and Chan's. I absolutely love Chan's voice aaahhhhh (Still Lonely is still a bop) but that's beside the point. I'm just all for how the one guy (I can never remember his name, the one with Hugo) kept saying Jihoon had a very boyish voice, and he really does. I appreciated how the girls talked about the dance too, given that it IS really difficult to stay steady while dancing. I love the vocalist reactions as much as the rest of them, and I hope you're all doing okay in classes and with whatever you're doing on the side. Happy Late Thanksgiving 😁
If you want to hear more baritones, maybe you can check out more B.A.P! They're six, four of them are baritones, two rappers and two singers, and one of those singers is their lead singer. They have a lot of good songs, MV's and great live performances!! Not only in music shows, but in radio lives and concerts as well. Some of my favorites live stages are no title songs, such as Bangx2 (radio live performance), Coma, Punch (both from 1st japan concert), With You (live on earth 2016 concert or HeyoTv live), Skydive (music shows and arirang radio) and a lot more!
when i was first getting into seventeen, seungkwannie was the one who shook me with his vocals and had me watching him sing all day. i’m so glad to see him get appreciation here !!!
I'm a bit sad about the fact that Jeonghan's and DK's voices wasn't noticed. Hope you watch more recent vids of SVT, they are great before but they improved a lot through the years.
I know you have some kind of list for videos to show but I think alot of us would like to see more reactions to live performances (especially like some kind of compilation of a groups best live vocals)
I would love to see vocalists reacting to ftisland live performance like wind, crying in the rain, last love song or orange sky. Their live is truly amazing
BTOB has 2 baritones (Sungjae & Hyunsik). I know that one is2 song is on the reaction list but if they want to listen to baritones, for example sungjae sung on king of masked singer "Thanks" and "One Day Long Ago" :) EDIT: One more recent song of sungjae is a duo with gummy on fantastic duo
I love that you guys reacted to and watched this because this is literally the video/song/performance that made me fall in love with SVT. The same reasons why the reactors enjoyed this video, because it's such a fun, quality performance. I feel like this song/video/performance is so underrated AND underappreciated. Honestly one of my favorite live performances in K-Pop, ever.
I used to watch every video that comes out but for some reason theses days I haven’t been watching at all this is the first video I watched it a while from you guys....
damn i rmr the first ever music show perf of pretty u made me so fucking happy and giddy yall it was soo adorable. when they hit that *flailing fish* move my face almost tore from smiling so much! i was only a casual svt enthusiast before that time but now...😌
Also you dont have to worry about giving your real comments on svt because we carats are really understanding and we get that people have different opinions.
Kpop: like taking Lady Gaga and her backup vocalists and throwing them into a group. Pretty accurate. The backup vocals instead have to be pretty good dancers though. Of course, this is just in general. There are groups where all of them are good in their own way, Mamamoo just to name one. Still, it's very true that this is how it works. Not everybody in the group has to be exceptional. I'm probably going to get a lot of shit for this, but BTS doesn't exactly have all around stellar vocals either, and that's as far as I know the current most popular boy group in the world.
actually i agree with you, but from all the groups you could choose, i dont think BTS fits that, there's only four vocalists in bts and three rappers (well jungkook is a sub-rapper, so im not counting him), honestly every vocalist in bts adds something, and they sing really well, just listen to all their solos, jin and taehyung who are the sub vocalists, in their solos they let it all out and they did pretty good, thats why a lot of people were shook with jin and taehyung's vocals, they're just underrated because they dont have that much lines in their title tracks, and im not mentioning jungkook and jimin because they're the main vocals, and we can see how good they are, but yea I overall agree with that statement, so I'm not trying to fight :)
I'm sorry but none of the vocalists in BTS have good technique. They don't support properly and they strain. But it's okay, it doesn't mean that they're not good performers and that they're not talented (there are things other than singing technique that makes you a good performer, notably stamina, charisma, dancing etc...). A lot of pop singers don't have great technique but are still extremely popular, and since BTS is more hip-hop oriented there's no real need for them to have amazing technique anyway. Their singing fits with BTS's style and that's all that matters. But let's not fool ourselves into thinking they have good singing technique.
I do agree that every member adds something, but in terms of technique, BTS lacks in their vocals. You say that BTS has "pretty good" vocalists. If we compare them to BtoB, we find out that BtoB has overall better vocals, yet if BTS was pretty good, BtoB has to be excellent. Relatively speaking, anything less would just be rude. The members of BtoB have their own share of problems with technique, but overall, they are better singers. It's not that BTS is bad, it's more that they will hurt their voices if they don't use proper technique. For people who perform as much as they do, staying healthy is important. Still, the main comment is not really about BTS, it's more about how people in idol groups don't all have to be excellent or stand out.
1 of the thing I don't like about kpop is their vocal training. I can hardly find a company that train their artist the proper technique Even with MMM. Coming from a MM myself, after watching countless of their performances, I've realize that they strain their voices a lot, especially Solar. Since she is in charge of high notes , I always feel restless whenever she's belting. Seeing vein popping out is not a good sign. Sorry for the complain, I just wish the industry will train them properly, if the artists keep using their vocal like this it will effect them in a long run.
In my opinion it seems like SM actually has some of the best vocal training (at least out of the big companies). SNSD has great vocalists, Red Velvet members have improved a lot and don't seem to strain while singing live (from what I've seen Seulgi is a very good vocalist imo). My only thing would be with their boy groups I think some of those guys are made to sing things just outside of their comfortable range. SHINee have good vocalists but I'm afraid the years of performing, being made to belt really high and some unhealthy vocal habits have taken their toll on Jonghyun especially :( Taemin has improved immensely though, his breathing is really good but he does sometimes strain his upper notes. I do know that after Onew's vocal surgery+recovery he went and got lessons to fix his technique, and it really shows! I'm not really sure about EXO because I haven't watched enough of their live performances (and they do tend to lip-sync a lot more). It's unfortunate that the industry doesn't really seem to think about the long run, they treat their groups/artists as if they're expendable.
I love this series, i really do. I check the list of uncoming and i would LOVE see how they react to JJY singing live. Especially the one in "SERO live" because is only his voice and his guitar, really amazing.
If the vocalists wants to listen to more baritones, I think Winner's main vocal (not Nam Taehyun, the other one) is a baritone, and their songs are often in a lower register to usual kpop. Also, some V (Tahyung from BTS) covers like Someone Like You, or his solso, he is totally a baritone. Other baritones are Jaehyun (NCT) and Sungjae (BTOB), but I don't follow much this groups so I can't recomend good vocal performances from them...
If you want baritones, BTOB has 2/4 vocalists that are baritones--and they feature that end of their range pretty well in some more recent songs! (Like "I'll be your man"...which I still think would be best reacted to as a live, because when watching the MV people get distracted by Minhyuk hanging by his heels and overlook the cool vocal climax.)
This was 3 years ago but all of them improved. Hope you make a review with "All my love" band version. and their performance in Rolling stone. All of them are vocalists. 😊
Couda just said 'please react to So Hyang's performances on King of Mask Singer.' You know, politely. You could have even specifically requested it on the Discussion tab on the ReacttotheK channel and actually had it considered: Umu rarely reads the comments for video ideas these days.
i really love yall reacting to seventeen 😭💖 by far you all are the only one appreciating their songs wholeheartedly not just the mvs. please react mooore 😢😢💖
Yeah I think they should've given the high note to Seokmin. Seungkwan has gotten alot better at holding high notes and reaching higher pitch but during Pretty U promotions I was honestly afraid that note was going to ruin Seungkwan's voice/throat. Each stage he seemed to struggle more and more with it and I think it just stretched his limit too much.
Yeah, and now I really want to see the day they'll be reacting a BTOB live stage. Bc that argument about 1 or 2 great singers plus other "okay" singers is impossible to use with them. I'm kinda sad, bc they're so amazing, like, they definitely have one of the greatest vocal lines in kpop, even their rappers can sing for god's sake!!! And even with all that talent, the only video they saw here was their debut video (from five years ago........). I 'm really waiting since the day I met the channel (several months ago hahaha) a reaction to something more recent from them. They won a lot of competitions, I mean, you can find Eunkwang and his mother winning an Immortal song WITH CLASSIC MUSIC! Hahahaha not to mention videos where they're harmonizing. Or amazing MVs like Missing You and Pray (I'll be your man). And they never lip sync 🤷🏻♀️ I'm okay with the channel choosing the most famous groups, but I think it would be fair to show those extra talented groups but sometimes forgotten...
Seriously there's like a ton of exo, bts and svt in this channel, and okay, i'm a hard stan of all those groups, but everyone who knows kpop knows them. There's already a billion videos on youtube of people reacting to those. I think is time to give a little more attention to other groups too. Kpop has hundreds of groups with hundreds of incredible singers being underrated. Please, your channel is so different and special, is unique af, but please don't sleep on other kpop groups just bc they're not as famous...
Can you have the Classical Vocalists react to some of Kyuhyun's Immortal songs? I would like to see their opinion on his vocal technique. Etude of Memories - ua-cam.com/video/HeyAAo14KJw/v-deo.html Masquerade - ua-cam.com/video/mUsWmdRMdsQ/v-deo.html

Some baritone main/lead vocals I know: Seungyoon (winner), Sungjae & Hyunsik (BTOB), Jaehyun (NCT)
Pretty sure you're thinking of Hongbin from VIXX
amaya berru Sungjae is baritone.

@@lokesux7692 I'm a male so I can relate. That song is high. Any other group would struggle to sing that song.
It also didn’t help that they didn’t have earpieces

Pleeeaassseeee this 😢

YESSS AND DIMASH KUDAIBERGEN
I have literally suggested this several times and seen others suggest it so I am at a loss as to why in heaven's name they would react to this.

Everyone that isn't sure whether this performance is prerecorded or not, make sure to go watch their pretty u performance in their showcase,I'm 99% sure that is live
Please do sohyang arirang and I have nothing! She's a legend! They will be blown away.
SEVENTEEN needs more recognition. They are so talented.
Btob, nuest w and highlight are very good at lives. Also WannaOne 😘 and infinite
INFINITE.
BTOB MY BABIES
INFINITE DONT FORGET INFINITE
fabuxoxo not to forget , infinite .
Please don't forget KNK :)
Shinee - like a fire(live perf), rainy blue and please don't go(live perf) for vocals react, please!!!
Hotaru they would die at Key’s high note seriously!🤣
I WANT THEM TO REACT TO ALL OF THESE
ayy shinee would be gr8 to see again
Hotaru Dang it!! Now I want to go watch like a fire live again. I just got over my bout of obsession the other day!! Thanks for nothing!! But yes... I really need them to react to that live perf.
I AGREE 300%
Taylor Alexa I LOVE Paradise!!!!!!!!!!!
What's their channel?
Angel Ruvalcaba PARADISE 파라다이스
Thank you for this recommendation. I'm starting to explore their work now, and I love Fate.
Seventeen are best !! They always sing live! Our kings
If you can add Seunkwan's Beautiful Tomorrow cover, I think you'd be impressed! Critics have mentioned his emotional maturity when he sings.
The girl on the left with black blouse really enjoying the song makes me really happy. She gives soft good vibes
And it's time to watch their 'Clap' and 'Don't wanna cry 'live stage!!!!!
I'm a bit sad about the fact that Jeonghan's and DK's voices wasn't noticed. Hope you watch more recent vids of SVT, they are great before but they improved a lot through the years.
Seventeen's vocals appreciated? We live for this. 💕💕
Finally!! I have been waiting for this for a long time!!
One of DGNA's main vocals is a baritone.
StarBright someone else knows about DGNA!!! God Bless You!!!!!!
Yes Rilla Go is my jam.
Yep, Hyunmin. And he's a pretty good.
Pretty you is like in my top 5 favourite kpop songs of all time :) LOVE IT ♥️
SHINee live performances are a must! The vocals they serve are everything they are known as CDnee!
The praise for Seungkwan’s voice I agree
BTOB has 2 baritones (Sungjae & Hyunsik). I know that one is2 song is on the reaction list but if they want to listen to baritones, for example sungjae sung on king of masked singer "Thanks" and "One Day Long Ago" :)
EDIT: One more recent song of sungjae is a duo with gummy on fantastic duo
I love that you guys reacted to and watched this because this is literally the video/song/performance that made me fall in love with SVT. The same reasons why the reactors enjoyed this video, because it's such a fun, quality performance. I feel like this song/video/performance is so underrated AND underappreciated. Honestly one of my favorite live performances in K-Pop, ever.
I would love to see the vocalists reacting to Shinee's Onew performing Nessun Dorma! Is it possible?
I used to watch every video that comes out but for some reason theses days I haven’t been watching at all this is the first video I watched it a while from you guys....
I've been waiting for you guys react to seventeen, even not CLAP nor not DWC, im still enjoy it. damn, I LOVE IT !
damn i rmr the first ever music show perf of pretty u made me so fucking happy and giddy yall it was soo adorable. when they hit that *flailing fish* move my face almost tore from smiling so much! i was only a casual svt enthusiast before that time but now...😌
Praise Seungkwan's high notes
Thank you so much for the new video! 💕💕💕
YESSS! Seventeen 😍🔥
TVXQ when they were five had some good low notes. Their acapella stuff shows off great bass and harmonies. Like Whatever They Say acapella.
Also you dont have to worry about giving your real comments on svt because we carats are really understanding and we get that people have different opinions.
The girl with the white shirt isn’t realizing how hard it is to dance while singing (SVT are also nervous.) (No hate)
Really want to see them react to the masked singer episodes especially the one with sunyeol from up10tion yassss
I've watch this every time it pops on my recommendation
Now I've watched this unhealthy amount of time
Kpop: like taking Lady Gaga and her backup vocalists and throwing them into a group.
Estante do PH S. Winner main vocal = Seungyoon.
Omg seventeen I'm so happy i really love this group and so happy for you guys to react as well
If you want baritones, BTOB has 2/4 vocalists that are baritones--and they feature that end of their range pretty well in some more recent songs!
I want to hear “park hyo shin - wild flowers & breath”
It makes me happy that people are enjoying seventeen’s music especially Pretty U!
I think you should show the vocalists “Love Letter” because it has a few unique vocals
*I got goosebumps while watching Seungkwanie hit that note!*
Have them react to So Hyang - Dear Love , So Hyang - Breath, So Hyang - Home from King of Mask Singer
Couda just said 'please react to So Hyang's performances on King of Mask Singer.' You know, politely. You could have even specifically requested it on the Discussion tab on the ReacttotheK channel and actually had it considered: Umu rarely reads the comments for video ideas these days.
Jennifer Khuu agree. No more discrimination toward k pop vocalist pleaseeeeeeee
this channel makes me so happy!!!!!!!!
You guys should react to SEVENTEEN - Clap!!!
i really love yall reacting to seventeen 😭💖 by far you all are the only one appreciating their songs wholeheartedly not just the mvs. please react mooore 😢😢💖
Love the fact that they loved it, SEVENTEEN is the best!
PLEASE HAVE VOCALISTS REACT TO SO HYANG-ARIRANG AND LITERALLY ANYTHING FROM DIMASH KUDAIBERGEN
*"this is so precious. they have baby faces"* same
MY BABIES SEVENTEEN!!!!
YASSS ive been wondering when the next vocalist reacts would come out
*SHINEE SHINEE SHINEE*
Oh seventeen is so good, cracks my heart hear some of the comments of the musicians
Will you ever let the musicians or vocalists react to Sistar?
Yes!! Reacting to my sons always gets me so hype!😍😍😍
Idk if you are taking request, but I would LOVE to see a reaction to Seventeen's 'Tell Me' performance on Immortal Songs 2.
am i the only one who noticed they keep talking instead of listening 😭 sorry if i’m the one one
i teared up watching the performance omfg i just love seventeen sm
PLEASE REACT TO “박수 (CLAP)” BY SEVENTEEN!!!
“ we want you to be superhumans” well said ma dude that’s what they are
Please react to super junior " black suit" and " one more chance"
When they mentioned seungkwan’s great vocals i cried internally
Vocalist needs to react to So Hyang idc
Dk is one of the best vocalist in kpop
Please, your channel is so different and special, is unique af, but please don't sleep on other kpop groups just bc they're not as famous...
nice, ive been waiting for this! you should have the vocalists react to seungkwans performance on duet song festival
Immortal Songs: So Hyang Lean on Me and Bridge Over Troubled Water please~~~~~
YESSS THANK YOU GUYS!! YOU DONT KNOW HOW HAPPY I AM
sEVEENTEEN !!
Kpop idols are trained 5 to 10 yrs thats why they're so stable and so used to perform.
Can you have the Classical Vocalists react to some of Kyuhyun's Immortal songs? I would like to see their opinion on his vocal technique.
