disclaimer: while i did come up w this story when i was 12-15, current me (22) did tweak the storyline just a teeny tiny bit so it makes more sense and its tied together nicely. i also changed some names like, silverdapple's original name was "twostripes" ?????? and coffeeleaf was beanleaf kahfkjasf.
im saying this to say i wasnt a storytelling genius when in middle school, i did tweak things a bit!
(also, my brother goes by "un fantasma" and his single is called "antes de las tres"! shouldve added that on the video, my b)

I think creating OC stories with dark and heavy themes to appear mature and edgy when we were younger is something many of us can relate to. The characters you created were pretty elaborate and interesting though, so kudos to you!

I absolutely love to listen to these videos while I also draw warrior cats. It's fun to listen to something about what I'm drawing and it's just nice to have interesting back ground sound. Great video and you and your brother are very talented!!

Funny thing, i also have a orange tabby wc oc that used to be a rouge as a kit with her sister and ended up joining a clan and becoming leader in the future. She is a BAD person though, no where near your ocs personality 😭

I don't think that simply including dark subject matter in your fanfiction was necessarily bad. In the context of a fanfiction you plotted out as a teenager, it's mostly about processing how you feel about X or Y topic, and in original media - and to some extent published fanfiction - it can be used to great effect on the plot or characters. Lord knows what I wrote as a teenager and I bet most of us adult fans of warriors are reeling too at what our OC stories contained XD
I guess it's more about how you handle it. You can write about dark topics and not endorse the perpetrator of said dark topics, including if said perpetrator is the PoV! You could add content warnings and disclaimers if you're that worried about it.
Should you release all the preamble to the flood as an actual fanfiction, you might want to label it for mature audiences and _especially_ warn the readers that there'd be domestic abuse going on in here by tagging the fanfic as containing it, so that readers who are triggered by it or just don't like reading about it could blacklist the tag and not get your fanfic in their search results (assuming you'd post on AO3, with the most robust tagging system). Labeling the fic as mature would also communicate to readers that it isn't intended for children or younger teenagers.
I think your story is very interesting! It took a moment to keep everybody straight, but I thought the events within it made for a good anthology, and I'm kinda interested to see what Whitestar, Tatteredblossom, and Ravenwhisker's fates are!
Oh! I didn't mean it was bad, not at all.
What I mean is, it worries me 12-13 year olds and ages below write about such topics bc they're clearly imitating them from something they're seeing. (As i did with media I should Not have been watching as a child)
OF COURSE there's also gonna be children writing heavy topics to vent out whatever reality they are living in, and that's super valid to! However I think it would be wise to hold up and wait until this work gets published anywhere and def be careful of what you consume when you're a child if that makes sense!
