Lots of people on here aren’t getting the point of this video and don’t know the actual capability of the pedal. If you don’t like it, go ahead and complain and don’t buy it, I care not, I think it’s awesome and I’m digging it.
The vast majority of the tones that people chase were created with post effects, yes some were in front of the amp but the majority were not. I have owned the QC and due to problems I had with it I parted ways. I am however very interested in this nanocortex and have one in order. I am 68 and still play live a lot, I don’t want to haul my Bogner Shiva or my Plex + a cabinet and a pedalboard and realistically no one can tell the difference between a tube amp and a capture or a modeler. Blind test no chance of knowing in a live situation. I am looking forward to getting my nano and further shrinking the board I take to gigs.
Go watch Leo Gibsons newest video Player vs Nano Cortex. At 22:00 minutes. He makes a Liquid Profile and a QC Capture of his Marshall. Then comparing the Liquid Profile to the Capture using the Gain & EQ controls on each unit his test shows the Player is 18% more accurate the the Nano QC. So the title of this video, the most accurate modeller, the Player is 18% more accurate than accurate.
Midi implementation limited to PC. Tap tempo is missing. Hence difficult to implement in a rig without adding external delay pedal with tap tempo and reverb with midi CC implementation. Which is a pity for the price of the nano. 😕
I bought one! It's awesome! Now my plan is to walk into a music instrument store and "try out " capture all their high end amps! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Digital Effects Modeler Profiling Pedal Right out of the box! Great NEURAL DSP tones and fx in a smaller box.
The wall voltage has not much to do with the high impedance world. It has to do with how fluctuations affect the plate voltage. It’s easy enough to just bring a Variac. It’ll give you a repeatable result. These Cortex things always sound way off through wedges. That 4 milliseconds = 4 feet of perceived travel. Probably not a problem for those who use ear monitors.
Have you tried using the FM3 in 4-cable method with a real tube amp? I know Fractal says the FM3 isn't as adept at it as the FM9 which was designed with that use-case in mind. Just wondering since I'm trying to decide between the two and I'd like to use it with my tube amp at home and without an amp when I'm not at home. Of course the FM3 gets the portability award between the two. Thanks!
Everyone keeps saying that no effects loop isn’t a deciding factor, but it is. And say what you want about modeling versus capturing, I can still do more with my HX stomp than I could with this, even as a stand alone unit!
They overhype everything and don’t help themselves. Did they change the plugin game? Yeh probably, is this gamechanging??? Not really. Still i think the product is pretty cool. I’m just surprised they didn’t use at least 2 capture slots so you can have an OD capture first. I understand you can do your own capture of the whole signal but seeing as they promote the cortex cloud and there are many OD only profiles and amp only profiles, it seems a strange omission. Still captures are better created than bought.
It’s almost like Neural has paid all these channels to use the phrase ‘game changer/changing’ in all their video titles. The Nano marketing really has pulled back the veil on modern guitar UA-cam. It is what it is I guess.
@@StupidGuitar Modeler implies full range of tone controls available on the actual amp so no. Kemper PROFILER, Tonex Profiler, all do the exact same thing🧐
Felt the same for a loooong time. But then I toured Europe / S. Am. and there was no chance of bring my tube head. So we rent them and that sucks. This, and other digital devices are the solution. Cheers!
No it didn't and how much they paid you bro. There are capure pedals that have full signal chain with OD distortion eq ect and can be placed however you want for less money. SO STOP THE HYPE TRAIN wierdo
I think the biggest drawback when you need to have the wet stuff after the unit is that you cannot get your whole board in the headphones - and that is a big think for weekend warriors like me🫣
One thing about Grant, if it can be said in 2 minutes, he's going to take 10.
This channel is a CHANGE GAMER!

28:14 “TRS designed for stereo left and right out, that’s different than a balanced signal…”. I learned something today. Thank you!
considering the hardware you need with the toner its a very good value.

How is this better than a Kemper or a ToneX? I already have a lot invested in Kemper profiles.
A used Kemper player is way more enticing to me

A new game changer? I have the TONEX and the stock captures are not that great but some of the new stuff many have put out are now just stellar!
The world's latest UA-camr influencer game changer 😂
When will it end. 💥
Has a anyone noticed the pedal adds a horrible ground noise ? Even with the noise gate on. Is there an official power supply ? Im using a spot one pro

Add that to the 4ms if a digital console and you can see why things just don’t sound right.

It’s not a modeler so……..
Fractal FM3. Learn how to use it and you’ll never need another modeler/profiler. Best bang for buck. Change my mind.

This is supposed to be Episode #118 (the last one was #117). There are actually 128 episodes in this series. Who numbers these? 🤔

dude, I'm buying this box (I buy everything) just sayin
Umm...How exactly does a product that doesn't do modeling change the modeling product game??
I thought it was a sh!+post video title, it was too on the nose, but apparently this is "sincere"(?)
Until the next great marketing ploy.

Maybe others have needs that are better met via a NanoCortex, but I will stick with my Fractal FM9.
New title for the video “This pedal does absolutely nothing new!!” With lame shocked face thumbnail.

VERY cool!
VERY cool!
Game changer? LOL no.
Haha correct sir, absolutely nothing new or groundbreaking here… but still really cool
It’s not a modeler at all, its a profiler
Profiler implies it doesn’t play so no.

No it didn’t.
So overhyped. Doesn’t change anything. Just another overpriced option
Your title of the video is really wrong.... It not a game changer. Capture technology's already there in the field. Nor it's an Amp Modeler.
That's a pretty pricey pedal.
this pedal isn't a game changer which is why you haven't heard much about it.
Meh. I’ll stick with my amps. Nothing beats the feel. Period.

Sounds horrible, digital…
No, it sounds good. I have one and it's great how it is. First real amp in a box for me.
Each to their own. But yea for me, sounds digital.
