In the winter of 2005 when I was living in Leuven, I took the night train to Berlin HBF, and it was my first night train travel in Europe. I forgot whether I got on the train in Leuven or took the local train in Leuven to Brussels and got on the train at Brussels north station. Now the night train from Brussels to Berlin has been cancelled.
