I’m one year 3 months from losing 80% of mine from covid. Horrible experience. 7 inches from ones scalp isn’t very long. Definitely only 1/2 inch per month. I had elbow length hair that was healthy and full. I’d absolutely get this procedure done if I no longer have a full head of hair.

@@leesh2684 My dermatologist prescribed a 7% Minoxidil and Finastride compound topical solution. She said it’s had good results.

Thank you for wonderful content! I've been on my own hair loss journey since 2018. Hair loss is an emotional and physical struggle. I've had 3 scalp biopsies and none of them have come back with the same results (Lichen Planopilaris, Androgenic Alopecia, Alopecia Areata). My hair loss also comes with scalp burning, itching, tingling, and redness. I've had 7 PRP treatments since 2021. The injections are uncomfortable but it's a quick process so it's bearable. Once the injections are done, I have no additional discomfort and don't need any pain medication. I'm also on several prescription medications. Courtney my prayers go out to you and all who are on this journey. Best of luck with your treatment!

I did PRP under my eyes and on my scalp a couple of months ago and it worked! My hair is growing back! So happy for Courtney to experience this, too! ❤️

Hi everyone, pardon the delay. I’m not often on UA-cam these days.
I had lost a lot of collagen beneath my eyes and looked really tired all of the time. My doctor injected PRP under both eyes to stimulate natural collagen and it worked! We used the leftover for my hair.
I was almost completely bald on top. Could totally just see scalp. I use Hairmax hair band with laser bulbs and vegamour advanced hair drops.
Bam!!! I have seen such incredible results within 4-6 months. My husband noticed and is amazed as well as friends I dont see all the time have noticed and commented where they were silent while I kept losing it.

I was shocked to see this doctor do this procedure in his street clothes!!! I wasn’t impressed with that at all!! And I agree with the lady that found the gum chewing offputting!!

WOW! I currently have 2 friends with hair loss issues, but not the same. I have now referred them to this video in particular, but to follow you because I love you and find you to be very grounding for me. Thank you for this video. My hair has thinned out through the years and I know that part of that is normal, part of that is age, menopause and I have had covid. Courtney is a trooper to be video-taped like this and I commend her for showing up for your viewers last time and today! I lost 1/3 of my hair after a severe bout of covid. thank God, I found Advanced Trichology, right here on UA-cam, and within 8 days, the fall stopped, and within a few months, it was growing back in. please take this route, and not monoxidyl, which will cause the hair to fall as soon as you stop paying for it. best of luck on this painful journey!

Not familiar with Courtney’s health status but assume she has had various testing to rule out underlying issues.
In her 20s, my older daughter started losing hair, gaining weight, irregular periods, etc. She was diagnosed with PCOS. The MDs wanted to put her on Meds. Some of the side effects were terrible.
I said get off all Meds & make some diet changes. She did the following- started taking ACV everyday (still does). After a few months her periods were normal & continue to be 10 yrs later. Also, went on a very low carbohydrate diet. Fast forward her weight issues & hair loss greatly improved.
Such an informative video and God bless Courtney for sharing such an intimate issue. I could listen to Dr Marjorie talk for hours! Thanks for another great video!

I tried PRP and found it to be extremely painful and expensive. Please tell Courtney to start taking oral Minoxidil as soon as possible. It has worked for my son and I’ve been taking it for 4 months. I expect to see results at the 6 month mark.

I agree about the physician and her gum chewing, very unprofessional! (I am a Family Nurse Practitioner). This treatment is extremely expensive, probably not available to the general “every day” woman.

It's sad that we as women have so much emphasis placed on our physical attributes.our weight, hair, skin, clothes, social status, education, abilities! Why? Why are we judged by others, and give a s--t what they think! It's sad we are scrutinized like that!
Thank you for saying this. And for those of us who might be described as average looking it’s discouraging when society puts so much value on looks.
I think the "why" is based in economics and ageism. First, older people are negatively judged because this country is all, only, and relentlessly about youth youth youth. Economics because in this country you are judged either positively or negatively based on where you are in the financial spectrum. Outward appearances being the way others gauge your socioeconomic status and immediately judge. Too bad that such judgments are often misplaced, inaccurate, wrong, or even damaging -- as in ageism, or when those less financially fortunate are victim-blamed.
@@bunneefeatherz6517 nicely put. In many European and Asian countrys age is respected and revered. I've traveled alot, and had the opportunity to observe it! Someday we may change, but I don't hold out much hope for change! A pleasure replying!
I think it’s something that is worth or overlooking. Both these doctors and very knowledgeable and have done a wonderful job explaining PRP. This video benefits all those who are experiencing hair loss, it’s much bigger than the gum chewing.

I do PRP, minoxidil+spironolactone+trentinoin compound spray with nutrafol. My vitamin D, thyroid, hormones, A1C and iron levels are normal.

I definitely need this with my hereditary hair loss (thanks Mom). I suddenly developed a bald spot in my part right at my hairline directly in front...uggg! So I've been very interested in PRP. My Derm has been giving me steroid shots in my scalp for months and no regrowth. Need to try the PRP route. Please do follow ups!
I havent yet watched the vid, but i had prp for hairloss and it worked. Excrutiatingly painful, and i mean bloody painful!!! But only during, not after... very expensive by my standards in England, but it worked. You have to do a maintenance programme though, so its an ongoing cost but so so worth it if you can. I had numbing cream so theres no way i cld have gone to work after!
I experienced hair loss after the Covid vaccine. I am following the “all of the above” approach and after 7 months am seeing about inch and half growth. Oral minoxidil and spiralactin, Nutrafol supplements, Vegamour hair serum, red light therapy and 3 PRP treatments (last one in January). So important to be under the care of experienced physicians. Consistency and patience is the key to success! It works! Also important to have the thyroid checked. I needed a Synthroid prescription.

Hi Kristine. I started the Womens balance version mid august. I also needed the stress booster. It’s a lot to take 6 tablets a day and the regime is pricey, but I was at my wits end with my horrible hair loss. I was willing to do whatever it took to reverse the loss. The shedding stopped after about 2 months. You have to give it at least 6 months to begin to see new growth. I also stopped coloring my hair, switched to a quality shampoo and conditioner, got a Dyson hair dryer, etc., basically doing all I could to hold onto and strengthen the hair I had. Wow! Beware of that cost for the PRP treatments on this video.I’ve had it done in Hollywood, FL by a licensed dermatologist for $750 - 3 treatments. She recommended one more follow up treatment (of 1) one year after my last treatment. She DID NOT say every 6 months! Looks like the doctors featured in this video just want to rake the money in.
I have been losing hair since I was 17. I think mine is from genetics. I am adopted so I don't really know. The top of my head has gotten very thin. I spray brown spray to cover the scalp. I am 62. Do you think there is any help for m3? My hair stylist has said I have a lot of closed follicles. I am proud of you Courtney! You are young and I really ,pray this works for you. I hate to see any woman with hair loss. It makes me sad because I have had to deal my whole life.

Been watching for years and this is my first comment: the doctor mentioned certain tests I did not hear anything about thyroid testing and hair loss. There are several tests: TSH T3 T4 etc. Courtney’s neck is swollen which could mean her thyroid is enlarged and not working well. If so she can have significant hair loss. Our family has hypo-thyroid issues with hair loss. Please have her tested.
She's had her thyroid tested, along with many other tests. In her case, it's simply genetics. Thanks for the recommendation!

This is a really expensive treatment. I don’t know who could pay $600 plus every six months to maintain it
Think about it, do you have a cell phone, buy clothes that sometimes you don’t need, expensive shoes/sneakers, go out to eat? All those things add up so if you can find money for those things then you can afford these procedures if you’re experiencing hair loss.
I was suffering from my hair coming out in clumps during shampooing and my center hair part was getting thinner and obvious I was losing hair. I happened to take a nutrition and heavy metals test and I had high mercury levels from my tooth fillings leaking. I started to take heavy metal detox products ( one called clean slate from the root brands, the other called heavy metal detox). I also started taking hair supplements called hair burst. My hair has stopped falling out! Hair loss can be due to many factors.

thanks for sharing these info. PLEASE PLEASE can you do an entire segment on RED LIGHT THERAPY? Such a big push for these expensive devices but DO THEY REALLY WORK? Are they even SAFE? It seems all LED lights regardless of the color emit frequency and radiation which are not beneficial. So are all these LED red light and infra red lights panel, masks , wands etc...JUST CASH GRAB GADGETS? Or are they truly effective for the skin, eyes, bone density and more as they are presented to the public? Thank you again.

Here in Uk the gp didnt even know about hair loss from covid. I was devastated when clumps of hair fell out from underneath I thought it was cancer. My hair is gone I have a covering but it will never be like before..it s 2 years later.. yes people dont realise how depressing it is as my hair was grown longish and was the thing I liked.. am62 now just getting out of homelessness due to covid etc.. I just get through the day but not same person and awaiting an appt at somekind of hospital as no real post covid anything in crisis Britain! I cannot afford these treatments here.. I just dont wash my hair so much anymore as so frightened more will come out

My hair didn’t recover after Covid either. I just don’t have the “height” anymore. I wear a hair topper for when I leave the house, but I just want my own hair back. 😢

I had stage 4 cancer with tumours throughout my body including my brain. This was in 2000/2001. As well as chemo for 8 mos, I underwent full brain radiation. My hair grew back, it was thin but acceptable.. over the years it has gotten thinner with bald spots on top and at my crown area. I am so thankful to still be here and have survived this, which is a miracle in itself, I struggle everyday with the way my hair looks. Any suggestions?

Perhaps a coffee and bay leaf natural treatment would help. Many asian women do not have hair loss or grey hair. Chlorella and copper will definitely help with hair loss - Research natural remedies because it really is a holistic remedy.

I like the process , yet I wish you had someone there that had already gone threw the process to see if there are real results. We don’t have the availability to have someone sponsor these procedures. I have had hair loss since I was 19!
PRP is wonderful. I know people that I work with had it done and it works.
