Just letting you know that my trunk and robe were delivered to me today! 😱 It only took a week to arrive, which surprised me because it came all the way from the UK 🇬🇧
I ordered a size XL adults and it fits me perfectly! It's beautiful 😍 I'm thrilled with this robe, and I can't say enough good things about it. The quality is impeccable! 👌
I'm a petite 5'3" and a size 14/16 misses size. I went with the largest size because I want to be able to layer the robe on top of a Gryffindor jumper/sweater, or the Gryffindor school uniform, with the blazer, skirt, knit vest, etc. It is not baggy at all, and fits just like a traditional high school graduation robe. I was worried that the sleeves would be too long, but they are perfect! 🥰 I had my name embroidered below the Gryffindor crest, and it looks beautiful! 😍 I used the Irish spelling of my name in Gaelic, which gave it a mysterious aura (yes I'm Irish).
The trunk is so much fun! I'm going to store some of my Hogwarts Academy school supplies and my uniform inside for now. It looks so gorgeous sitting on top of my bookcase top shelf 💞

That was such a good review. I really want to get some Gryffindor robes and tie. But I can’t commit to buying them. The Australian dollar is double how much they cost in Pounds on the Wizarding World site. And you get a free scarf this week if you spend enough. I might do it😬

I just managed to finish my Hufflepuff uniform. I got the robes when I went to Wizarding world Universal. The rest of the replicas tie and Cardigan I got from the official Wizarding World website in the UK. Can't wait to fly back to California in October with the complete outfit 🙂💛🖤🦡

I had shopped online for months looking for a Hogwarts robe. I read all the reviews I could find, because I don't want a poor quality one. Ebay offers used robes, and people want top dollar for their used robes, which could be damaged, stained, torn, or have odors such as cigarette smoke.
Used robes aren't returnable. So after much deliberation, I decided to go with a new authentic robe from the link you posted below. They are beautiful and have a lifetime guarantee. If I remember correctly the length of the robe doesn’t change much if you go up in size! I would focus on the size your body would feel most comfortable in (I think the lengths are roughly the same for all but I think if you look at a sizing chart it’ll tell you the lengths)

hm I'm torn apart on whether to buy a robe from the UK site or the universal one (the latter is way more pricey than London robe). Is the robe heavy and made with good material? are the pockets deep? I saw the universal robe review - the buttons were different and the wand pocket was deeper I think
As far as I am aware the robes are exactly the same so I’d definitely go for the cheaper option! The robe I got is very good quality! The pockets are deep! The wand pocket is deep enough to hold my wand securely. Hope this helped 😊

It appears that JKRowling wants to ensure the quality of HP merchandise, which represents her HP empire. She also wants the robes to be uniformly alike.
All authentic merchandise that is ordered online now comes from the UK. Many of the items are also now made in the UK, instead of being outsourced to China.

Honestly I don’t think they are different. One of my good friends has a universal one and when we were together they were basically the same! (The only difference was I believe from the website it was a little cheaper than the price in universal)
The prices are higher in the USA because of the import duty tax and shipping costs from the UK.

Im just wondering why theyre cheaper than the official ones from universal studios. Are they a different quality? They're a whole 40$ cheaper. I love your unboxing but for now will save up for the one from universal studios, if i find that the fabrics and design are the same I'll shop on the website you recommended!!
One of my good friends has the one from universal and she said that it’s essentially the same exact thing. I’m going to assume they charge a bit more for it at universal just simply because it’s in a theme park? But overall the quality is the exact same

@yoongispinkytoe1563 I originally got XL from the Harry Potter Shop , which was too big and long. I now have L, which is still long, but it doesn't sweep the floor anymore (my robe is now about 2-3 inches above the ground)

I’m not sure of the exact rules but most of the time people will go to the Wizarding World in full hogwarts uniforms! I don’t think universal is as strict as Disney, but I believe that is because they don’t have hogwarts students walking around the park for people to meet LOL
They sell pieces like replica robes and sweaters in the park itself so I think they assume people will be wearing them 👌🏻

I found an official AUTHENTIC robe on Amazon. I kept looking for an official robe, until I found it! It was hard to find. Considering that the front pages are all knock-off robes. I saw the reviews and everyone was shocked that they bought an official robe. Okay, if you buy robes on Universal studios, it’s going to be $100 or more. I live in Japan so it was 4,500 yen. (About $40 to $50) I can’t believe it. I also looked for ties, scarf, cardigan, and I found them all official, and cheap. It was hard to find. It’s going to take a long time for you to find one. I looked for a week for all of it.
I originally was looking on Amazon for a robe! I found one that wasn’t very expensive and I figured it would be good enough for pictures but when it arrived to me it looked AWFUL. The colors were off, there was no house crest on it at all and you could just tell it was cheaply made. I’m so glad you found a good one!
